✔️I adored this book!! I thought Olive was such a great character! She was honest, funny and so sharp! I also loved Ethan! So reading a book about two characters you really like makes it not only enjoyable but really exciting to read! I thought some of the scenes were so funny that I found myself laughing out loud.

✔️This book was so much fun! It had everything! Love, family, betrayal, humour and even food poisoning!! My favourite part about the book is how Ami & Olive’s family were always there for them. No matter what happened their mom, aunts, cousins etc were there to help pick up the pieces! It just absolutely warmed my heart! If you’re looking for an fun loving romance - pick this one up! ❤️

**I was given an E-ARC in exchange for an honest review**

I adore Christina Lauren books and this one didn't disappoint me in the least. I was grinning like an idiot pretty much the entire way through. The Harry Potter references were on point, I loved Olive as our MC, she has a wonderful family and Ethan was a great Male lead. I loved the way that Olive stood up for herself in a very difficult situation and she stuck to her guns. I loved all of the Hawaiian adventures and just wanted to stay on the island with these characters forever.

Christina Lauren always writes engaging romantic comedies that suck you in until the end. The wit, humour and banter is incredible. I appreciated the twists and turns that the plot offered. As always, I will recommend the Unhoneymooners. It's a perfect summer beach read!

This might be the best book I’ve read so far this year. I thought I would read this book over a day or two but once I started I couldn’t stop until it was finished. Olive and Ethan just might be my favourite couple ever. I felt like I connected with Olive right from the first chapter. This book just made my heart so happy. If you love a good rom-com with some witty banter and a love-hate relationship this is the book for you. I will defiantly reread this book in the future. The Unhoneymooners comes out May 14th and you NEED to preorder it now or be the first in line to purchase it. You won’t regret it!

I have to admit: this was my first Christina Lauren book. And WHY DID I WAIT ALL THIS TIME?! This book is so cute and adorable, I'm dying a little bit inside that it's over. I loved the characters, each so different but so vibrant and genuine... I think it's a book hangover case for me. I honestly loved Olive, Ami and Ethan (dreamy and perfect Ethan!). This book is a perfect summer read, and it's everything! I was unable to remove a big happy smile from my face while reading it. Loved loved loved!!

Many many thanks to Gallery Books for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for this honest review.

This was really cute. It was funny and it had enough unique elements to keep it from being a cookie cutter type of romance. I enjoyed the argumentative banter, especially once the romantic sparks started to fly. I liked how things didn't fall perfectly into place as it added a little bit of tension to the story.

A recommended beach read. Light and entertaining.

Well done, ladies.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review!

Enemies to lovers is my favourite trope and Christina Lauren didn’t disappoint. I loved these characters and all of the hijinks that occurred.

However, I was a little underwhelmed. I think the story could have been longer. The side characters (and there were a ton) were hard to tell apart, and I wish there had been more backstory (on page) of Olive and Ethan’s first encounters.

Nonetheless, I had a great time reading Christina Lauren’s latest book and I can’t wait to reread it when my physical copy comes in the mail!!

Immediately I was sucked into this book. A wedding, romance, Hawaii all in one book, who wouldn’t like it. It’s a page turner that I couldn’t put down. I devoured it in one sitting. This was my first time reading Christina Lauren and I can’t wait to read her again. Thank you so much to Simon and Schuster Canada and Netgalley for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Sometimes you are in need for a fun, light romance and this book is the perfect response to that feeling.

Olive is the unlucky twin, the bigger twin, and the single twin. When disaster strikes her twin sister Ami's wedding she takes her sisters place on her Honeymoon to Maui. Unfortunately the groom is Ami's husbands brother, and Olive's least favourite person in the world.

On this trip the two of them run into some people they never expected to, explore the beautiful island of Maui, and maybe get more than they bargained for.

I found this book very cute, intriguing, and a great light read. I enjoyed the characters, the setting, and even the issues that arrived. This would be a great summer beach read.

Every time I finish a book by Christina Lauren I think “okay THIS one in my favourite one for sure” and then I read another one and it becomes my favourite. Well after reading The Unhoneymooners I am confident in saying this is my favourite book yet from this author duo! Filled with their signature humor and witty banter, a unique and real female character, and a swoon worthy and downright wonderful love interest you won’t want to miss this one!

Olive Torres has always been unlucky in everything she does - work, romance, well just plain everything. She thinks her luck may be turning when her sister's wedding is hit with an awful food poisoning and Olive is one of two people spared! Unfortunately her arch nemesis Ethan Thomas is the other survivor and the two of them get sent on the all-expenses paid honeymoon meant for the bride and groom. Determined to enjoy their tropical vacation the two call a tenuous truce. But when Olive runs into her new boss at the resort a little lie spins out of control and Olive and Ethan have to pretend to be loving newlyweds.

This book is the perfect summer beach read. I love a good enemies to lovers story and this book was pure fun! It gave me similar vibes to The Hating Game with the razor sharp witty banter between the characters. Ethan and Olive had great chemistry and I loved them both so much!

WOW - this might be my favourite yet from this duo. I loved it. This book had tons of laugh-out-loud hilarious moments and their chemistry was great. I enjoyed the "honeymoon" setting and I especially adored the epilogue and how everything worked out in the end. I will never avoid a new Christina Lauren book and this one was wonderful. 4.5 stars

When her twin sister and almost their entire wedding guests end up with food poisoning, Olive and the best man (and her sworn nemesis- really!) end up taking the non-refundable, non-transferable honeymoon. Agreeing to a truce for the duration of the trip, they set off for an unforgettable trip. Although the book is definitely predictable, the storyline is good and the character development is good too. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a light read that will definitely deliver!

I’ve been wanting to read a Christina Lauren book for awhile and I’m so thankful to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for this advanced copy, in exchange for my review.

This is my first book by this dynamic duo and I am an instant fan! Like fangirl, will read everything else they write and will go back and read their entire backlist - kind of fan. I have been missing out!!!

The Unhoneymooners is that perfect summer / beach / pool / drink in hand in the sunshine type of book. It’s fun, light hearted, and easy to binge. The characters are likable and relatable, and who doesn’t love a hate-love romance?! Olive and Ethan’s banter is so well written and cute.

I found myself bursting out laughing at multiple parts, but I actually had to pause reading at one point because I couldn’t stop laughing. The post scuba scene will go down as one of the funniest moments in a book ever. I’m laughing again writing this. This story is so fun.

I caught myself on more than one occasion, reading this with a smile on my face. If that’s not an enjoyable read, I don’t know what is.

This wasn’t my favourite Christina Lauren book ever but I did seriously enjoy it. I wished more of the book was spent in Hawaii, and the reader could feel like they were taking a vacation with Olive and Ethan (they are on vacation for some of the book but I just wanted more!!!) I feel like this book could be another 100 or so pages longer and it would have been great! More time watching Olive embarrass herself and more time soaking up the (literary) sun in Hawaii! Overall, Christina Lauren never fails to impress and I am so lucky to have read an arc of one of her books (*fangirls*).
The characters were fun, filled with girl power and lots of giggles! Also loved the resilience of the characters in the end!

I went into to this book without having any past experience with any of Christina Lauren's work, and solely because I found the summary super enticing.

After finishing it, I can safely say I will be picking up something else by them!

In terms of rating, I'm using a kind of 5 star break down system.

First Star: The Cover - how much do I like it on scale from 1 - 10? 10, it's colourful, and festive - hitting the tone of the book and story just perfectly. Seriously can I get a poster of this?
Second Star: Writing Style - descriptive and easy to follow 1-10? 10, easy to follow, descriptive without being excessively wordy, and it flowed nicely.
Third Star: Characters - likable, relatable, and are they their own unique person? Can I tell them apart? 1 - 10? 8, while the characters were easy to distinguish between, and overall relatable, I found certain ... hiccups with how they were described? It was said that Olive and Amy could be confused for one another yet the book goes to make note several times that Olive is curvy, plump, or nearly bursting out of her top. This seems a bit inconsistent to how the character was described. Also a lot of the negative comments about Olive's body came from Olive herself. I'm not a fan of self-hate and this kind of made me dislike the character or not root for her as much.
Fourth Star: The Overall Story - Is the story complete? Is the message clear? 1 - 10? 8, Honestly I can't find anything wrong with the story, though I did find it kind of wrapped up a bit quickly and I didn't feel any emotional connection to the characters. With certain books, I get super invested and anxious or excited for the characters, this time I was kind of expecting every step that came next.
Fifth Star: Freebie - did I like it? 1 - 10? 8, I really liked it. Would I read it again? Yes, especially on a beach with a drink at my side.

Final count? 4.4/5

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review The Unhoneymooners.

I was excited when I saw that Christina Lauren had a new book coming out, and I just loved the concept of this one.

When Olive and Ethan have to go on the honeymoon for their siblings as the everyone at the wedding gets food poisoning minus the two of them.

I loved this book and the characters from the beginning and it had me laughing at many parts throughout.

If you love hate to love romances, you will have to check this one out. It didnt have as much smug as I thought it was going to have but I still loved every second of it. There was also a great family aspect and I enjoyed the diversity with the characters.

This is one that is not to be missed.

Sadly, not as funny as I had hoped or had heard it was going to be. To put this into perspective : I don't have a single highlight. Not. one.

The first half is definitely the highlight, though, with snarky hate banter between Olive, the twin sister's maid of honour, and Ethan, the groom's brother and best man. The circumstances surrounding their pretend relationship/forced proximity are OTT and outlandish but also kind of slapstick-funny and I enjoyed their stiff-acting and all the weird improbabilities that occur while they go on their sibling's honeymoon. But there's a weird element that gets introduced that I didn't like, a shitton of gaslighting and, almost, blame for something the heroine should not have been blamed for once something is revealed, and, of course, with the climax comes a whole host of drama that explodes all over the reader's and Olive's faces.

That said, I really liked the supportive backbone of family that is woven throughout the story but wish we'd had more of the Torres' and extended clan because they were fabulous. Definitely had a good time reading this, at least up until the midway point, but THE UNHONEYMOONERS won't be making it onto my list of CLo favourites.

This book is a light, easy and FUN read!! I definitely laughed out loud multiple times throughout this book and that is rare for me. This is my first Christina Lauren book and now I am SO excited to read all the other ones I’ve picked up so far!! I loved the growth and self awareness that Olive experienced throughout this book and Ethan was the perfect good-lookin’ nemesis💕Not only did this story feature a great and very entertaining love story, it was also about family and sisterhood. I think everyone will want to be a part of Olive’s family by the end of this book!! This book is the epitome of the perfect vacation read and I highly recommend it!! An easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!! *thank you so very much to @netgalley and @simonandschuster for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review*

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! This is my 3rd Christina Lauren book, and this book just solidified for me that I need to read all Christina Lauren books! By far becoming my favourite Romance Author. Their books are perfect for Rom-Com lovers. The writing feels effortless and so captivating, I immediately become invested in their books and the characters.

This book had two tropes that I love which is "hate-to-love", and "pretend to be married". This book executed both perfectly, in my opinion. I loved the storyline for this one very much, I loved both our main characters. This also book made me want to go to Maui so badly!!

I can't rave about this book enough!! I want to re-read it right now!

What a fun read! I think I've only read one Christina Lauren title before this one, but I'm about to start exploring their backlist. The enemies-to-lovers trope is my literary catnip, so how could I resist this one? Especially with its Hawaiian setting? I tore through it as fast as possible and was then sad when it was over.
