Cute baby photos with short passages for baby to follow.

Don’t be mistaken. This is not a book of yoga poses that babies can do. It has tiny rhymes for the baby to follow such as “Happy Baby: grab your toes! One foot, two foot – whose are those?” and “Mountain Baby: look at you stand! Bend and stretch while you hold my hand.”

This book will provide lots of fun, baby time. Use it to encourage bonding with your little one. My grandson and I loved it!

I received an ARC from Orca Books through NetGalley. This in no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.

This was a darling book. I loved the pictures of yoga poses to teach my young children. My daughters loved this book and we highly recommend it.

I thought this would be a fun book for my littles to look at because they all (5,3, and 1) love to do yoga with momma and they also love to look at pictures of baby. This short baby book delivered for us! The babies are so cute in it! My kids love looking at pictures of babies so they couldn't get enough and kept fighting over who could look at it. They also thought it was fun to try and mimic the moves. Very cute book!!

When I requested this book from NetGalley, I didn't realize that it would be in the same format as Holi Colors, another rhyming board book from Orca Book Publishers. I disliked the clunky rhymes and stock photos in that one... and I can't say I enjoyed them much more here.

Part of the problem with this book is that it has a very small audience. I'm not completely ignorant of yoga. Even so, I was only able to identify a few of the "positions", and I think some of the others are a bit of a stretch (no pun intended). While toddlers might enjoy looking at the pictures, the yoga aspect of the book is kind of weak. Possibly only yoga moms will see the value in a book like this.

Just like in Holi Colors, I wasn't that impressed with the selection of photos. For books with specific subjects like these ones, why not hire a photographer and get some original photos that really fit the text?

Babies like looking at pictures of babies, so they'll probably like this book no matter what silly adults think. But for a book that purports to show babies in yoga poses, it falls a little short.
