Not much is left of Gabriel's life ever since he discovered his true destiny as a warrior knight in the final battle against darkness. His life has been rife with soul-sucking demons and creatures straight out of the books he studied in college. His life is no longer ordinary. As a warrior, he has no choice but to fight for good. And if he screws up, the world is toast. The war between good and evil has just been kicked up a notch for Gabriel Redfeather and his partner, the half Valkyrie, De Mona Sanchez. Gabriel is the only one who can stem the tide of darkness creeping across the land. But will he be able to do it without falling into darkness himself?
I don’t even know what to say. I was totally confused with this book. I’m assuming/hoping there were previous books in this to make it easier to understand. DNF.

This is the third book of a trilogy. I haven’t read the other two books and I don’t think this works well as a stand alone. If you haven’t read the other books, there is no way to make sense of what is going on. The narrative jumps from scene to scene. There is tons of action but there are so many characters introduced in each scene I couldn’t keep up. I had no idea who was fighting for good and who was evil. I didn’t know which characters to care about. It was a big jumble to me and I gave up 35% into the story. Maybe if I had read the other two books I might have enjoyed this but it didn’t make much sense to me. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I could only read this book to 20%. That said, I still have no idea what it was about 👎👎👎 While it features magic, the characters and scenes are incoherently jumbled.

Short but fun and sweet to read! I enjoyed this one. Plot had a few holes but nevertheless a win. A favrite author of mine indeed!
