The Healing Jar is a beautifully written inspirational book. Great plot, setting and well developed characters. Just what I have come to expect from this author’s books. Thanks to the publisher for my advance ebook. This is my unbiased review.

I enjoyed this quick read, and loved that we are reunited and continue with the lives of the characters in the previous books, and conclude their stories.
This one is cousin Lenore, a young woman who care deeply for others, and especially her grandparents that she lives with and helps.
Throughout this story you wonder if Jesse will do right by Lenore, or will the new man in the community win her heart.
I loved how conclusions and updates were made in this story, surprises abound here, and most I didn’t see coming!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Barbout, and was not required to give a positive review.

Lenore has moved in with her grandparents to help her grandparents Willis and Mary Ruth. She’s also preparing to start a new schoolyear as the teacher in their community. We see Ben and Sara, Ezekiel and Michelle as well as some other townspeople, including newcomer Jesse and his daughter Cindy. Healing is the topic of this book and deals with more than one person needing healing. Lovely story with likleable characters that grow close throughout the series. A very enjoyable series with this being the 3rd book.
A complimentary copy was provided by Barbour Publishing. No review was required and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

The third in the series, the author gives us another wonderful book that you can’t put down. We once again see characters from the previous two books, Mary Ruth, Willis, Michelle, Sara, and this one centers on Lenore, who is helping her grandparents. She is teaching school and wondering she will every find love within the community since she is older than many of the Amish girls when they marry.

Newly widowed Jesse and his baby daughter, Cindy, move to the community. We follow the lives of all these people and see how life leads them in many new different directions.
We see how the Healing Jar the girls find, leads and directs them to answers from the scriptures and prayers written and buried in the jar.

This is a delightful book that you won’t want to put down until you see how everything is resolved. I highly recommend this book.

Wanda has once again captivated her audience with the day to day lives of the Lapp family and their close friends. As per other reviews, this book definitely has surpassed the previous books in the series; taking you by surprise with events and connections of people and their past in an unexpected way. Wanda has not only woven threads regarding the importance of seeking the Lord's will in prayer and waiting for His timing throughout this book but also has capably conveyed a person's frustration, impatience and uncertainty when experiencing loss, grief, courtship and starting a fresh.

I think this series has been one of Wanda Brunstetter’s best. We get to know more about Sara and Michelle, and there are several on-going storylines satisfactorily concluded in this book. There’s some heartbreak, too, concerning some beloved characters and this Amish community gathers together to take care of their own. However, the main focus of this book is on Lenore. She’s caring and dedicated to helping her grandparents. She’s the type of young lady that any Amish mom would want for her son. And truthfully, Jesse, the other main character in this story, did not deserve her. Although the author did a good job of helping him redeem himself with the way he treated Lenore, I still was aggravated with him at the end of the book.

Wanda Brunstetter always does a great job in giving us a clear look at the Amish culture, yet shows how both Amish and English can come together to help each other. She’s a master at bringing joy and tears together to make a compelling story.

“The Healing Jar” by Wanda Brunstetter is the third book in The Prayer Jar series. I enjoyed the first two books in the series but each book is a also a standalone. It is helpful to have read the first two books since many of the characters carryover but Brunstetter is a master of giving a short background on important characters. The Healing Jar is the story of Lenore Lapp, an Amish schoolteacher living with her grandparents after a her beloved grandfather suffers a stroke. One of the beauties of Amish life is the tradition of caring for the elderly. I grew up with grandparents and great grandparents living with family members until they passed on. Lenore knows she is truly blessed to have this privilege and has resigned herself to being an old maid. But when widowed Jesse Smucker and his precious baby daughter move to her community, Lenore begins to believe God has other plans for her.
The mystery behind the prayer jars is also answered in this final book. I have to admit I was surprised by the outcome. Even after reading the first two books in the series I did not see the outcome. Brunstetter has written a wonderful series again, giving us a glimpse into Amish life and showing how God always has a plan.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book from Netgalley.

A sweet conclusion to the Prayer Jars trilogy. Many answers are given as the author weaves together a story of faith and love. I loved that Lenore is so kind and loving to her grandparents. She's waited patiently for God's answer in finding a husband. Readers will want to read the entire series to fully understand the story even though this book could be a stand alone. Recommended!

Book 3 of The Prayer Jars wraps up the series in a way that will leave readers satisfied. While the primary focus of this story is Lenore Lapp we also get to catch up with Sara and Michelle from the previous books. In addition to catching up with characters, there are new ones to meet and grow to love.

Fans of Wanda Brunstetter are sure to love this book and the conclusion to the series. It is a well-written, down-to-earth read that is hard to put down and will have readers wanting to visit Amish country as soon as possible. I recommend this book to fans of the author and the genre. It can be read as a standalone so if you haven't read the other two books in the series that is ok though I highly recommend reading those as well.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was not required to write a review. All opinions are mine.

The Healing Jar (The Prayer Jars Book 3) by Wanda E. Brunstetter
What if you have waited to find love only to be rejected when it finally comes?
Lenore Lapp is an Amish schoolteacher in her late twenties still living at home with her parents and grandparents. She thought love had passed her by until she meets Jesse Smucker, a widower with a baby daughter. She quickly falls in love with them both and accepts Jesse’s proposal of marriage, but Jesse breaks off their engagement when he realizes he can’t marry only for convenience.
Resigned to living single, Lenore throws herself into caring for her elders. While working in her grandmother’s garden, she digs up an old jar. Will Lenore find healing for her broken heart and solve long-buried family secrets by reading the note contained inside?
this is Lenore Lapp, and Jesse and Cindy's story.
this is Lenore grandmother and Grandpa and Michelle, Sara, Mary Ruth and Willis and other's story.
Grandpa’s collie, Sadie, lay beside her with one paw on Lenore’s lap. That too used to be comforting. Now it was just a reminder that Grandma and Grandpa’s pet was in need of love and assurance.
A lump formed in Lenore’s throat. How could so many unexpected things happen in six short months—some good, some bad? Brad had accepted a call to pastor a church in Lancaster, and Sara, in addition to running her flower shop, now played the role of a minister’s wife. Ezekiel still worked in his parents’ greenhouse, and Michelle helped out there sometimes too. Unfortunately, Michelle’s husband did not enjoy working with flowers, bushes, and various other plants. He’d made it clear he was looking for some other type of job.
Lenore had accepted a teaching position at a school in Strasburg this year and would begin her new assignment in two months. She looked forward to getting to know her young students and hoped her first year of teaching here would go as well as it had when she’d taught school in Paradise, not far from her parents’ home.
I highly recommend reading.

Wanda is an amazing writer. The desciptiveness of her writing puts you in the story as if you're one of the characters. The lessons she provides are also thought provoking.

I loved this story. It is the final book in the trilogy, following The Hope Jar and The Forgiving Jar. I love how the author continues the stories of characters we met in the previous two books. This story focuses more on Lenore, but we get satisfying conclusions to both Sara and Michelle. I fell in love with the characters and I am sad to say goodbye. A very clean, sweet story. I would definitely read the first two books first as it may be a little confusing if you read this one first.

The Healing Jar is the third installment from Wanda Brunstetter's The Prayer Jar series. I have loved the other books in this series and this one does not disappoint. I believe this one is my favorite of the series. It is fun to catch up with the primary characters from the previous books. I enjoyed Lenore and Jesse's story and getting to know them.

I give The Healing Jar five plus stars. I am so sad to see the end of this series. I highly recommend this book and recommend readers to read the prior installments of the series before reading this one.

I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

When Jesse and his young daughter move to their community, Lenore falls in love with the motherless child. She gets her chance at love, but will Jesse be able to move past his love for his first wife to give Cindy the mother she needs? Threads of the story focus on Sara's pursuit of finding her biological father and Michelle's move with husband Ezekiel to New York. I haven't read the earlier books in this series, but I feel certain they provide additional insights into the characters backstories. While the writing style needs improvement, the story itself is enjoyable and should resound with fans of the Amish fiction genre. Discussion questions at the end provide good fodder for book discussion groups in churches. I received an advance review copy through NetGalley with the expectation of an honest review.

The Healing Jar is Amish fiction centered around faith and simplicity. I liked the story. I was happy and sad about certain things. While these stories are always uplifting, have to wonder if it's really real? Or, is it leading to a nonexistent concept we wish existed? Thanks to NetGalley and Barbour for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wanda Brunstetter 's books rarely disappoint. I have so enjoyed this series. Each of these young women have found a jar full of inspiration. These have come at a time when they were facing crisis. Not only do they find hope but also find long lost family secrets. Lenore Lapp is the town schoolteacher who at her age is considered an old maid. She feels that love will never be found and throws herself into helping her family and community. However, when widower Jesse Smucker comes to town, Lenore falls in love with both he and his daughter. Will her love be enough though? Ms. Brunstetter's characters always draw the reader in. I found that little Cindy helped to make the story a delight to read. I highly recommend this series and any of her books. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

The Healing Jar by Wanda Brunstetter continues the stories of Lenore, Sara and Micelle along with Willis and Mary Ruth Lapp. Lenore lives with Grad ma and Grandpa Lapp and helps as much as she can while Grandpa recovers from a stroke. Lenore is a teacher so she has the summer off. Sara and Michelle are now married leaving Lenore feeling as if she may never meet the right man. A new man, widowed, with a small child moves to the area and Grandma and Lenore begin to babysit for Cindy. Will more grow between Jesse and Lenore than friendship? How will her life change when she discovers another jar of messages and learns who the writer was?
I loved this but then I love anything by Wanda Brunstetter. She keeps to the truth about the Amish way of life while writing fiction that draws the reader into the story as if one lives right there. I feel I know each of these characters and how they feel and will react to situations they are presented with. I give this book 5 of 5 stars and recommend it to everyone.

Lenores Großmutter will die beiden sofort verkuppeln.
