The premise of the book is great and the author really delivers. Great read. Highly recommended. .

This looks like it would be an adorably-illustrated book. Unfortunately, the eVersion contained only text. Sweet text, nonetheless. It's bedtime for all kinds of animals, a hedgehog who is walking, a dog playing with a bone, a cat chasing a mouse, etc. It's time for bed and a goodnight kiss. A sweet story to read at bedtime. Sure to become a favorite.

This is a cute bedtime story that my three year old granddaughter enjoyed. It has different kinds of animals demonstrating what they like to do before bedtime. Crab stretches, penguin plays in the snow, turtle uses the potty, etc. My granddaughter wanted to show me what she could do, but I convinced her she could show me in the morning. The illustrations are colourful, clutter-free and very kid-friendly. She enjoyed them and with only a few words before a full page of pictures, it was a quick bedtime story. We did read it again in the morning and she got to show me some dancing. It was okay, but not sure if this is one I would purchase.

I received an arc of this book from NetGalley for an honest review. An excellent story about animals preparing for bed, perfect for little ones also preparing for bed.

This is an adorable book about bedtime routines. Each page shows an animal and tells what it has to do before bed. These include crabs stretching their claws, a turtle who needs to use the toilet and a ladybug who does cartwheels. The story ends in what Victor needs to do before bed. The least line ends with “What do you need to do before you go to sleep?”

I found this book to be absolutely adorable. It was fun to read what the animals to before they can sleep. The illustrations are terrific, and the things they need to do are funny.

I highly recommend this book to read before bedtime. The kids will giggle as they try to create bedtime routines for themselves.

Bedtime is a short and easy read before bedtime with cute illustrations. The animals need different things in order to get ready for bed and it entices the reader to think about what they need in order to go to bed.

Recommend this book for children 0-3 years.

Every parent and child can relate to this sweet bedtime story created by bestselling children's author-illustrator Guido Van Genechten.
When tucking a little one into bed at night there is always a ritual that precedes the nightly event. The author gives a peek at how a variety of animals handle that routine.

Owl gives the signal that it's bedtime and asks if everyone is ready. He receives a variety of responses: little Crab must stretch his claws, little Turtle needs to use the potty, little Goldfish wants to swim one more lap, and little Ladybug is so excited she is doing cartwheels, just to name a few. The mice call for a hush to fall and Victor, their resident human, attends to what he does just before his eyes close.

It seems everyone is calm and settled now ready to drift off to Dreamland. Shhhhhhhh!

The illustrations are colourful, clutter-free and very kid-friendly. The story sets the mood for a great night's sleep. The books are read, the hugs and kisses are passed out and then it's pass out time for the little human. Good night dear child! Sweet dreams! I highly recommend this book.

I found nothing special about this book. Just another book featuring animals doing things that children do. If anything, I wouldn't read this to my two 3 year old granddaughters, I think it would just reinforce their already numerous bedtime routines.

There are so many other books by great authors with wonderful illustrations to choose from. Just not a winner.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley.

This is a cute little story about different bedtime routines. The illustrations are bright and colorful. Would be fun for 1-2 year olds.

This is a really cute story that has all different kinds of animals showing the reader what they like to do before bedtime. Crab stretches, penguin plays in the snow, turtle uses the potty, etc. It's an extremely quick read that I could see my daughter really loving. My only critique is that it's marketed for 24 months+. I would say 12-18 is more of an appropriate range, just because there there is a page of words and an entire page with the picture of the animal). Still, a great read that I would recommend adding to any child's library!

Although I found the pictures bright and cheery, I feel the story itself was lacking something.

Cute story walking through a little boy getting ready for bed. Illustrations are cute and I can see little ones following along, acting out the story as they read it. A good way to get the sillies out before bedtime!

This is a perfect bedtime book -- so it is named very appropriately Bedtime. The illustrations were fabulous. The wording was simple and cute. It is centered around what all of the characters each need to be able to go to sleep. It opens conversation up for you to discuss what your child(ren) need to be able to sleep? The book is colorful and simplistic enough to keep their attention but not stimulate them too much when you want them "winding down" and preparing to go to sleep. I loved this book and it would definitely be in my rotation of bedtime reading if I had little ones right now.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is an adorable bedtime read for toddlers. The illustrations are bold and appealing while the simple text pairs well with the pictures.

In the story, a group of creatures tell what they need to do before going to bed. By the end of the book, a young child tells their routine for what must happen before going to sleep. In a sweet way that ties the book together, each critter that was previously featured in the story then is shown within the child's room (for example, as part of a mobile). Young readers are then asked what they need before going to sleep.

This storybook has an appealing concept; reluctant toddlers will undoubtedly love to see how each featured player finds ways to avoid bedtime. The book will then, hopefully, send them off to the land of Nod.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this book which I was given in return for an honest review.

I like how this book brings up the concept of needing a routine before bed. However, I think it could have been longer and gone into more depth.

A short review for a short book.

Bedtime is a cute and quick read just right for getting ready for bed. The illustrations are bright and adorable and the animals all have something they want to do before heading to sleep for the night. There is a variety of animals and not your normal bunny, dog, and cat, which makes this even more fun for kids. I think this is the perfect bedtime book for evenings when it is really time to get to sleep but they want just one more book.
