Cabot's customary humor comes through in this contemporary romance set during a hurricane on an island in the Florida Keys. Bree feels like an islander even though she's only been there a few months (on the run a traumatic event and newly discovered information about where she comes from), so when a hurricane sets a course for the island, she decides to stay and take care of her medically vulnerable cat. Drew is a native to the island and fresh off a break-up when Bree crosses his path as everyone hunkers down to prepare for the storm. The "No Judgements" title comes through in many situations involving the main characters, and is a nice thread that runs through as the characters talk their way around the nuanced perspectives of situations, such as why pet lovers would choose to leave their pets when they evacuate. The setting was interesting, the hurricane brought welcome tension and close proximity situations, and the romance was satisfying in this breezy, perfect for the beach romance. I really wanted to love this book-a newcomer with a dramatic past moving to a funky Florida Keys island with an eclectic cast of characters and a light romance. Cabot struggles to capture any real sensuality between her characters and the steamy scenes leave something to desire. The relationship with her celebrity mother and assault in her past weren't well developed. I won't be highly recommending this to readers.

Very cute story! I am a huge Meg Cabot fan and she did not disappoint with this fun, quirky book. I am very much looking forward to more!

Bree has heard enough about Drew’s overnights at many of the island’s female population to know better than to get involved with him. When an approaching hurricane puts Bree and her cat in the home of her boss, she begins to worry about other animals left alone and sets out to help them with the help of Drew.
Cute romance.

I've been an avid fan of Meg Cabot ever since I first read the entirety of "The Princess Diaries" series as a teen. I've loved everything I've ever picked up of hers, though admittedly I'd never read her adult romances before.
The romance in "No Judgments," which is obviously the most important part of a romance, did not disappoint in the slightest. Drew was extremely hot and I was really ready for him and Bree to get together from pretty early on, and it was really satisfying when they finally did. I felt all the warm fuzzies for these two.
I also enjoyed the cute little island setting and having the story center around a hurricane was different and interesting. Bree's back story was sort of developed oddly, but I thought the treatment of her past sexual assault was done well and I liked how she resolved things with her ex, her assaulter, and her mother.
The beginning was a little rough. I got through it pretty quickly still because I was very interested in Drew, but it really made absolutely no sense for Bree to stay on the island when so many people were evacuating for the hurricane and everyone was telling her to get out of there. I think she just kept throwing out a million different half-baked excuses, and I just wanted her to stick with one, solid reason and be stubborn about it. For an actual, solid reason. So that was bothering me for a while in the beginning of the book. But once the romance and the meat of the story really got going, I was over it.
So, ultimately, Meg Cabot delivered once again where she's always shined the most—romance. And really hot guys. And that's what really matters here, after all.

Another classic, fun comedy of errors from Meg Cabot! Bree came to Little Bridge Island three months ago, hoping a change of place (and hair color) would help her get past some recent events. But as chaotic as her old life was, none of it could have quite prepared her for a hurricane. Refusing to leave the island because her cat can't travel (among other reasons), Bree has no choice but to accept the help of Drew, her boss's insanely hot nephew with a bit of a reputation, in her quest to make sure the animals that have been left behind by their owners are taken care of - no judgments from her on why they did it, she just wants to help. And Drew just can't seem to let her out of his sights...

So cute! As we have our own bought of insane weather here in the midwest (it's 99 degrees!), this was a great story to curl up with. There was cheeky banter, a heroine I could get behind, and while this is very much a romance, that's only a part of the story. A lovely summer read!

Meg Cabot is such a fun writer. I always know I will like her books. This is no exception. Fun romance set in the Florida Keys with Bree and Drew. Add a hurricane and crazy families and you have a fun adventure.

Set in the Florida keys, this light romantic novel features Bree, a young woman who has fled New York for her father's favorite place in the Florida keys. Grieving her father's passing, a crumbling relationship, and dropping out of law school, she dyes her hair pink and takes up a waitressing job. An impending hurricane forces her to connect with her neighbors - and the good- looking nephew of her employers - and brings some surprising new elements into her life.

No Judgements is about the storm of century hitting a small island off Florida and the people who stay behind. Bree is determined to not evacuate her home. She's strong willed, generous and stubborn. I really loved her. Insert the sexy small town ladies man Drew and things get fun. However, that's where the story stops. Theres' a lot of will they won't they, and once they do the story ends. A lot of great side characters, maybe too many. Lots of adorable pets! I just felt too much of this story wad focused on the hurricane and not the romance. It also ended right after the hurricane with a small epilogue. Is it a bad thing to want more?

All right, Meg Cabot - I love you and all so don’t take this too harshly, but this story really felt so...nothing? As in, I’m not sure what the point of this story was. A lot of the characters were annoying, and I felt like the main female was ~a strong female character~ for no other point than being able to say she’s a strong female character. So, not actually authentically strong Also, her mom drove me up the wall.

I mean, the premise is cute and there’s nothing overtly BAD but it was very simple and I didn’t feel a lot of purpose to it. I guess I was wanting to enjoy it MORE because I have such fond memories of Meg Cabot’s works!

But, obviously, I still liked it enough and if you like Meg you will still want to read this.

Such a great beach read! I enjoyed Drew and Bree’s characters a lot. Reading about Florida and the incoming hurricane added something intriguing to this cute rom com.
I love Meg Cabot and her stories always pull at my heart strings and make me smile.

I really enjoyed this book! I read Meg Cabots growing up and it's cool to read new work by her. This book was light, fun, cute, and sexy! I enjoyed the character development and an overarching theme of animal love.

This was a cute book. It moved very fast, maybe a little too much so. The character was fun, but could have been more.

Bree has left New York and returned to her childhood summer vacation island in Florida to get away from her nasty ex-boyfriend and her celebrity mother. She has taken a waitressing job at the local café and living a nice quiet life until a hurricane hits the island. Most people have abandoned the island and headed for mainland, but Bree opts to remain. When the hurricane arrives, Bree volunteers to take care of the pets that have been left behind. There are far more than she can take care of and is forced to accept the help of Drew, the heartthrob of the island and the nephew of the Bree's boss. Reluctantly, Bree becomes attracted to Drew and his obvious love of animals. Will it last after the hurricane is over and life returns to normal?

Cabot seems to have rounded up all the click-bait news trends in the last 5 years and threw them all together in her latest release. No Judgements was neither well-written or entertaining.

No Judgements is the first in a new series by Meg Cabot. A new adult series, which besides continuing the Boy series in 2016 with The Boy is Back, I don't even remember the last time Meg Cabot released a new adult novel! Maybe the 11th book in the Princess Diaries Series??? Anyway, I am so excited and thrilled!!

Meg Cabot introduced us to this new series back in May when she released Bridal Boot Camp, a 50-page novella introducing us to Little Bridge Island (which is going to be the setting of her new series, I'm assuming). Bridal Boot Camp was cute, but felt a bit a rushed to me (I'm really hoping Meg expands somehow on those characters in the future novels, because Rob wasn't even mentioned in No Judgements). So I was a little worried to read this new one, No Judgements.

I'm glad I read it though! Meg Cabot is an author that I have trouble reading anytime. Her books have been such a huge part of my life for so long now (going on 15 years?...) that I know anything she writes I will enjoy!

No Judgements was no exception! It was cute, had a nice paced story, and kept me wanting more. Meg recently mentioned in an article for EW (link Here) that she wanted to write more in the #MeToo Movement, and have a main female character be more independent and not so reliant on a male counterpart. I can tell that Meg really tried that with both Bridal Bootcamp and No Judgements, while still sticking with her guns! Her characters still had Meg's signature flair!

I loved that this book was based on Meg's experience during Hurricane Irma. To hear about the devastation that Hurricane Irma caused back in 2017 was heartbreaking! Meg Cabot took that experience and wrote about it a way that showed the devastation and heartbreak, while at the same time still having people who are able to find the good things about life, even during a very difficult time. That is something that my family and I can relate to a lot, and I know it is a huge motto of my mom's, which is something that I have really looked up to her for.

No Judgements was really cute and I cannot wait to read more about the people of Little Bridge Island! I think there are a lot of possibilities in character development to the other residents mentioned! Meg has written a great start to the series! I definitely recommend you checking out No Judgements when it hits shelves and e-stores on Tuesday September 24th!

I like this book. Bree is a strong fun main character who has a great journey. I loved her relationship and her passion for animals.

This book was cute, but it moved entirely too fast. The relationships didn't feel naturally occurring. I wanted to like it, but I wasn't sold on it. I'm not sure that I'm a big fan of Meg Cabot's writing. I did, however, enjoy the look at the hurricane from the perspective of those in its path. But, I'm not sure how true it is.

A fun summer read! Bree is smart, fun and a sucker for animals. She is working as a waitress on a small Florida island, much to the dismay of her mother. As the storm approaches she refuses to evacuate the island. As she and the other residents who stay on Little Bridge Island weather the storm, Bree fights her attraction to local handyman Drew. Once the storm passes Bree must face the past she is fleeing. Perfect to read at the beach!

I love Meg Cabot. I thought this was really interesting - the hurricane coming to the Keys made for a good storyline for someone who has never experienced one. The romance was fun and light hearted. I would highly recommend for any animal lover as animals are a big part of the story.
