A case of mistaken identity and being in the wrong place and the wrong time has DEA agent Reed and ballet dancer, Talia becoming unexpected roommates. And in such close quarters, the steamy attraction simmering between them was bound to implode.

This was an enjoyable read with some really hot scenes and some equally sweet (in a gruff and growly kind of way) moments. Reed was a decent guy but he had some major trust issues to work through, not just because of the ex who dumped him but going way back to his own family and the father who died in the line duty. His hang ups definitely threw a wrench in their budding romance. This was a slightly bumpy road to HEA but I liked both MCs enough to root for them to work things out. Tahlia definitely put up with a lot from Reed and a bit more groveling on his part wouldn’t have gone amiss, just saying.

Memorable Moments: I will say that his realization that he loves Talia was cute. I love a big tough guy getting bulldozed by his sudden epiphany that he loves his h and Reed’s freak out was endearing. I also liked his sweet gesture at the end.

This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed it. We have Reed, a DEA agente who is working on a case and his informant has gone missing. In her place he meets Talia, a ballerina, who should not have been at his informant's tiny studio apartment. Reed feels responsible for Talia and wants to protect her. He is grouchy but has a demeanor that well, is kind and thoughtful. Talis though faced with his aloof attitude knew that he was a softy underneath it all and did not back down from him.
I liked the romance and the bit of suspense in this story. Filled with humor, hot sex scenes and a HEA, make for a great read. 4 stars*****

Wrong Bed, Right Girl by Rebecca Brooks. I loved it. I really liked the writing. Talia and Reed are perfectly imperfect and I loved them together. This was my first book by this author but it won't be my last.

Talia and Reed meet by accident when she ends up subletting the apartment of a fellow ballerina who also happens to be Reed's informant in a drug case. I enjoyed the story; despite a somewhat farfetched premise, it was well paced and the characters were likable and had plenty of chemistry. This was a new author to me and I will look into her other books.

when reed bishop corners the woman he believes to be his informant at her studio apartment in wrong bed, right girl, he's more than a little surprised to discover someone else in her place. but not knowing whether or not his informant has been made, and being in the middle of a big drug case means that he can't just leave the stranger behind. so he brings talia home.

and then she doesn't leave. and it's okay, because he doesn't want her to leave. because there's that spark that flutters every time she's in the same room. and he is afraid to acknowledge it. and he's afraid that holding on to it will snuff it out. but it's there. and talia feels it too. she tries to leave and then, she doesn't.

and all of a sudden, instead of strangers, they're roommates and then a couple. and so when the inevitable freak out happens, it's because they've moved so quickly that their feelings are so involved when they lash out and it hurts. but feelings like those aren't meant to be ignored.

this was an enjoyable category romance, and i look forward to more books in this series.

The story of Reed and Talia.

The second book I have read in this series, but it doesn't matter if you haven't read the first.

They meet by accident - he crashes in to her apartment in the middle of the night when he is looking for someone else - his informant in a case he is working on. Worried about her safety he takes her back to his apartment. Will he give in to the attraction between them or is he too jaded by his past?

An entertaining read - hope there will be more books in this series!

This is book #2, in the Accidental Love series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Talia has just won her freedom. Another dancer in her troupe has left from an emergency, she gets a small apartment and principal position. Then she abruptly meets him.

Reed is just doing his job. If he does not do his due diligence, people die. He wants to solve this case without losing innocent lives. Then he meets her.

The attraction for both of them is immediate. The chemistry is spot on and the heat just builds. I loved that we learned about both of them as individuals, and that they brought out more in each other. Had great humor, and yet was still serious and sweet at times.

Reed and Talia's story is one that will have you believing in second chances. When you're left to make the best of a bad situation, and there's an undeniable chemistry, what can you do? The story was well-written and I was sad to get to the end, but I definitely will be reading more of this series!

Talia and Reed are such a fun, accidental couple! They had me from page one, with her quirky personality mismatched with his serious one. While there was an element of danger behind their cute-meet, this book had tons of comedy. My first Rebecca Brooks book will not be my last! Love it!

This was a cute standalone follow up to Wrong Bed, Right Roommate. We met Talia in the previous book, where her rookie, Jessie, and brother, Shawn, hooked up. Talia has now moved out of her and Jessie’s apartment when Shawn moved in, and is subletting a place from a fellow ballerina... and that’s where this wild story begins.

The last thing Talia ever imagined she’d get caught up in — at the same time that she gets to be the lead for the first time in a ballet — is a drug ring! But that’s what happens when gruff, surly DEA Agent Reed busts into her apartment in the middle of the night looking for his informant, who skipped town and subletted her place to Talia. With nowhere else to go, Talia reluctantly goes to Reed’s place. But they don’t stay “just roommates” for long.

There’s a nice slow burn to the relationship. And I found this book a tad hotter/sexier than Right Roommate. Reed has some hangups thanks to his ex, and those very nearly ruin the good thing that he and Talia have going on. Will it be enough to make him realize what’s right in front of him?

I really enjoyed this story! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Rebecca Brooks’ Wrong Bed, Right Girl is fun, sexy and sweet. Reed is a cop and Talia is a ballet dancer, and they meet accidentally when he literally falls into her bed while trying to check on one of his informants in a homicide/drug case. Reed realizes the sassy, unfiltered dancer might now be in danger herself and reluctantly offers for her to stay with him, but he never expects to be so attracted to his new roommate. He’s broody, quiet and absolutely adorable as he tries to resist her, but they soon fall into bed together – this time on purpose. This forced-proximity, feel-good romance checked every box on my must-read list.

Talia was to be the principal soloist . She couldn’t call the artistic director of the New york ballet and tell Hal she was sorry but she’s rather stay an understudy the rest of her life. She also couldn’t ask her best friend Jessie of she could move back as Talia’s older brother was jessie’s boyfriend and had moved in. She didn’t have to worry about dates she would be too busy and all she seemed to have are lousy dates. Talia thought she wanted a leading role more than anything. But now that she had it part of her wished she could hand it back. What if she messed up? What if she wasn’t good enough? What if the audience started booing? She knew she had to succeed which meant no dating, no hook ups, and absolutely zero distractions. Dance was her world and she wanted it that way. She had six weeks until opening night. Aaron and reed were brothers and were special agents with the DEA. reed said something was wrong as Stacey was suppose to check in if she got the signal that Jonnie had more pills to buy. Reed said he was going to see Stacey. Stacey was their informant. It had been two days since he’d heard from Stacey . when he got to Stacey’s apartment he found another beautiful woman had moved in and sublet the apartment from Stacey. Stacey had taken off. Reed had told Talia he couldn’t stay there. He offered to let Talia stay with him as she had no place to go. He picked his bedroom and bathroom quickly up and he would sleep on the couch. Reed could say- i’m married to my job, and my fiance left me because my work is too dangerous and I don’t have people over and it’s freaking me out to see her sitting there. But he said none of that. After Talia went to sleep in his bedroom reed found he was tired, wired, and hard. Not like he could take care of it on the couch with her in his bedroom. He couldn’t wait for the gorgeous, insufferable woman to be gone. Reed said he’d give hera key and talia said it won’t be for just tonight and he said no. He came home at the end of the week and seen talia in her tights and he thought he was going to fall right over in the middle of his floor. One evening Talia was all dressed up in a red dress to go out on a date with Erik who she had talked to on Tinder. At the last minute he canceled. Tilia was upset reed offered to make her dinner but not like a date. They ended up having sex as they were both so attracted to each other and had tried to fight it. But the next morning he told her that couldn’t happen again. He explained about his fiance Lisa and how a man he had put in jail came up to her an terrified her. Lisa demanded that reed choose between his job or her. He didn't pick her. He said he can’t be with anyone, not right now. Not with the case he was on. He couldn’t risk it and he couldn't’ risk her.
I loved this book. It was an easy read with just enough angst, danger, and drama. I loved the plot and pace. I loved reed and talia together and how they interacted. I felt so bad for Talia when reed told his mother Talia was just a fling and she knew she loved him. I loved how brave talia was. I loved talia did have friends she could turn to when she really needed them, they were there for her. I loved how protective Reed was of tali even if they weren’t together. I loved the characters and the ins and outs if this book and I highly recommend it.

Joe was tired of everything. His dog Buck was next to his bowl sleeping. Normally if he heard Joe’s keys he came running but he’d had enough today. Joe wished he could lie next to his bowl with a bottle of beer and sak out for hours too. The town of Petal had been part of Joe for his entire life. He’d come home. Even when he’d been halfway around the world he hadn’t been too far from Petal’s streets. So when he got his motorcycle he knew exactly where he wanted to ride. Joe would find a routine. Get his dad some help. Get his business set up and running. Maybe even date or at least have sex. But for now the road have to be enough. Beth hadn't seen much of Mary Poppins as a kid and now it was one of her favorite movies. Her parents weren’t much for Disney movies for their kids. They also didn’t have a VCR or anything like that. She discovered the movie when her brother William’s oldest child came along. Joe pulled into the yard. Joe was the older bad boy Beth’s brother used to run around with. Joe came in the yard to talk to William and Beth told him she would see him around and she would make sure she did. Beth’s best friend was Lily who was engaged to her brother Nathan. Beth had decided to go to Joe’s house and say hello as she hadn’t bumped into Joe any of the times she tried to. Beth had come along way from the girl who had to make due with thrift store and garage sale stuff. Tate even went dumpster diving when she had to for her siblings needs. Now she was a business owner, had a nice apartment, her frige and pantry had food and the last time she hid from a drunken argument was years before, the last time she’d went to her parents house. Lily was raising her teenage brother Chris since her parents split and her mother sunk into drugs. Chris was having a hard time. tate-Beth’s older sister was doing Beth’s hair and said you know William is going to break something internal when he finds out you set your cap Joe. Joe’s reputation is less than stellar. Although William said Joe had changed alot since he left Petal and he came back to help his parents and nothing is in it for him. Joe had just started an auto repair shop. Beth thought Joe was really hot. Joe thought Beth looked better than a body had a right to a couple of weeks ago when he seen her. Now she was even hotter in a red dress and her hair done. Joe had found his dog Buck in a dumpster as a small pup. Someone had thrown him away. Joe had bottle fed Buck until he was stronger. He told beth about it as Buck went up to her and she was scratching him behind his ears. She bought Joe some cookies and brownies and an invitation to Lily and nathan’s wedding. Than Beth said Joe could take her to lunch at The Sands so they could catch up. Beth said she’d be at the salon over there. Which Tate, Anne and Beth owned. Tate and Anne did most of the hair work while she did the books. She also did the occasional shampoo if needed. Beth ran errands, handled supply orders and pretty much anything else. The sisters were so close and used to having to work together that it was smooth and efficient. Joe’s father had deteriorating mental health and that is what brought Joe back now. He just had a call from his mother his dad-Carl- had got upset and left in PJ bottoms so Joe got up and dressed it was just midnight to go look for his father. Beth Joe was super hot in the bad boy, works-with-his-hands, has a scruffy beard way. Beth’s type of guy. She knew he had done four tors of duty in Iraq. Beth walked in and saved Joe from the floozie Dolly saying it was time for their lunch. Joe ran into hre, and had less and less defense against her charm. She was charming and hot. But also his best friends little sister. After running into Lily and Nathan and Beth at the Mexican restaurant, he gave Beth a ride home. She had told him to go get Buck. he wanted to be with her and she wanted to be with him and they were both adults. What Joe felt for Beth was far more than sexual curiosity. Joe and Beth had sex and seen each other as much as they could.
I loved this book. It was a great read with drama, family, and love. I loved joe and Beth together and how they interacted. I couldn’t believe it when Joe dumped Beth and in front of everyone. I understood his turmoil but that was still a horrible thing to do to her. Especially when they were so good for each other. My heart broke for Beth. i felt like I was there with everyone. I didn’t want to put this down. I loved the plot and pace. I absolutely loved Tate and all she was to her siblings especially Beth. I hope to get to read the next book of this series. I loved how close Beth and her siblings were and how they all turned out after the horrific upbringing they had. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

This book had me at narcotics (DEA) agent and ballerina. It would be difficult to find two more opposite people, but it spoke to me on a personal level for many reasons (former ballerina here, for one). The author hit the nail on the head with numerous details for both professions but was a little stronger on the DEA attitudes and worries. I would have liked to have seen a little more of Talia’s rehearsals to balance the war she felt with herself. Most primas I knew would never let a guy distract them from the lead in “Giselle.” But that’s being nitpicky, because oh holy hotness for the sexy time scenes! Wow! I thought everything was well-balanced and very realistic and would definitely recommend this book. Wrong Bed, Right Girl by Rebecca Brooks is book Two in the Accidental Love Series. This is the story of Reed and Talia. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book.
Talia has returned from London to find she needs a new place to live since her best friend and roommate has moved in with Talia's brother (first book love story). When a fellow ballerina is leaving town ASAP she takes over her small apartment...which leads to Reed breaking into it. Reed is a DEA agent working on a case and he goes to check on a informant but instead finds Talia in bed and she starts hitting him with a book. When he understands what going on he takes her to a safe place...aka his home. Sparks fly between the two but Reed has some emotional baggage that he has to deal with before he truly understands his need for Talia.
Enjoyed their story and hope to read more from this author.

OMG, where do I start. I love, love, love, gruff, rough around the edges Reed Bishop. I like that he is so tender and loving to Talia while not even realizing it. I like that Talia Lassiter is such a strong character and that she knew what she wanted and even when she was at a low, she was still able to focus on something that meant so much to her and to go and do it even when it was so uncomfortable and could possibly end badly. This was a well written, well crafted story. Thank you for the opportunity to love this book.

Wrong Bed, Right Girl is my first book by Rebecca Brooks and I thought it was a great introduction to her writing. Reed and Talia's romance started out pretty fast but led to some amazing sexual tension as Reed tried to deny his attraction to her.

This romance started off right from the start and we got to see how the connection between Reed and Talia quickly went from sexual tension to their chemistry exploding into something hot but still sweet. I can say that I do wish there was more of that romance throughout the story though. It seemed to die down a little around the middle and the story started to focus more on the characters as individuals rather than as a couple. The epilogue brought all the sweetness back though and really tied this couple together.

I had no problem reading this book without reading the previous one in the series first, those characters from the first one didn't have too much page time. Overall, I'm really glad I picked up this book and I'll definitely be reading more of this author in the future.

Super fun, cute, steamy, HOT, enjoyable read. Reed and Talia meet during a mistaken incident and Reed offers her a place to crash, his place....

He's in the middle of an investigation, and she is totally in the middle of it without knowing it. She is a professional ballerina doing her first major lead in the show, and she's super poor also, she doesn't have help or anywhere else to stay.

Reed is pretty closed off detective, he is pretty hilarious, grumpalump and his patience is breaking down with his attraction to Talia. Their chemistry was HOT! Seriously, there is rooftop handcuff sex! Like thats all I have to say! Super HOT!

This was a really enjoyable story, I could not put it down and would definitely recommend.

I knew the plot was implausible when I requested the book, but I thought it would be a fun read. It just didn’t live up to expectations. Talia and Reed seemed one-dimensional, with no real chemistry.

This is a fun read. I enjoyed the story and characters are also amazing. It starts with a simple misunderstanding and then became so much more. Reed never thought that he'd ever date let alone fall in love again but Talia is the kind of woman he simply can't resist. She sees through his defences and knows the man beneath. She understands him like no one else and she seems to care a great deal about him. His scars run deep and might end up hurting her as well. Can he take a chance and pretend that all is well in his world?
Talia isn't looking for someone special. It wasn't so long ago when she had thought that she already had a special person in her life. That had not ended well. In fact, none of her past relationship ended well. She always attracts the wrong kind of guys until Reed. He is nice and he makes her heart flutter but how much of this is real? Reed doesn't seem interested in anything longterm and she must protect her heart.
It's very well written story, kind of adorable and super romantic. I really enjoyed how Talia and Reed interacted right from the begining. It was so obvious that these two are meant fro each other. I definitely recomment this book to all romance lovers.

Rebecca Brooks has just written another award winner. That was my first thought when I finally took a break at 70% to stuff my face and stop myself from slapping our leading man then tossing my kindle. What a captivating story, perfectly written with plenty of romance, steam and laughs. I love a good character driven book, this one is great.

We got a quick peek at the driven ballet dancer Talia in book one when she returns from Europe injured. Talia needs a new place to live so when the lead dancer in her current and very important performance needs to leave town quickly, she offers Talia her apartment, this sudden leaving also puts Talia who was her understudy now in the role of a lifetime. Now let's meet Reed... or not, just kidding. Reed has an ongoing investigation into a drug operation that he's determined to bust and also determined to make lieutenant just like his father was. His brother Aaron is his partner and his current overly edgy is this case was rather dependent on the info provided by an informant who he hasn't heard from and Reed is getting exceedingly obnoxious since they haven't heard from her. Then again, those are just a couple of his more lovely attributes. Antsy edgy Reed's an uptight grouchy jackass who has deemed himself unable to have a relationship-ever because of a bad experience in the past. He's got his soft spots sure, but hell with freeze over until... well when he meets the lovely Talia.

After sending his brother home to his wife that night, antsy edgy decides late at night to go check on his informant "just in case." Just in case means he breaks into her tiny apartment and finding a sleeping woman clad in a sexy piece of nightwear wakes her, only to be greeted by Talia armed with a book taking a swipe at his man parts. The dialogue between these two is loaded, Talia is snarky and warm and Reed is... a jack hole. Reed deems the apartment unsafe for Talia to stay in because of the case and orders her to pack a bag and without thinking where he's taking her, he ends up taking her home with him where she'll be safe (snort- from everyone but him) giving Talia his room and he's riding the couch. Talia is stressed over her performance in this role she's been thrust into, add to that the growing attraction to Reed and the chemistry between them. Reed is in the same position, he's distracted, frustrated and his self talk is hysterical. The dialogue between them is even better and their chemistry is both kindle and panty melting. The steam factor is off the charts and you couldn't daydream better scenes between them. Stinking steamy hot. The push-pull between them that had them so nicely twisted in the book made it that much better for the reader. The emotions run high and you feel those too. These two are completely relatable characters, in relatable situations.

As things start to develop deeper with the two and Reed opens up a little, Talia is his salve and bandaid. He in turn does pull out the feelings in her that she's not keen on feeling, but with him she feels safe. Such a wonder to watch this relationship unfold with them. Things are evolving upward for them both, Talia battles her insecurities about her role, Reed needs his focus on the case but neither can stop thinking about the other. Things sail along nicely until they don't and trust me when I tell you that when Reed steps in it, he does it in a huge way, that had me at a "WTH did you just do??", a good hard slap and flung my kindle onto the bed and launched myself from the room. Oh yes I did. To say I was furious is understating it. We're left with a heartbroken, and rearmored Talia and Reed who is his own worst enemy gets a big fat zero. Read the book.

This is one book you won't be able to put down, perfectly paced, the flow is right on the money and the plot is absolutely engaging. I loved both characters who are written to perfection because they're as real as we are. The story takes on a life of its own and the ride is a thrill right to the very end.
I couldn't have asked for more. It's fun, frustrating, sexy as hell and you'll just fall in love, much like falling into the wrong bed.

Not enough stars to cover this one.
