I tried really hard to get into this book and it's completely possible it was just my mindset at the time. I can see myself enjoying Just Past Two at a later date but right now, it just wasn't for me.

I just realized I never dropped my review of this one here. Elia Winters never, ever disappoints - her books are always so well written, the characters complex and the chemistry is believably scorching! She's an auto-buy author for me.

This book veers a little from most romances because the two main characters, Abby and Sam, are already happily married. You meet them when they are already through the hurdles of a new relationship and are committed to one another. It’s at Abby’s high school reunion that Sam realizes there might be more to his wife than she has let him see. It turns out Abby was much more adventurous and free-spirited when she was younger. And Sam likes the side of her he’s just now finding. The two embark on a discovery of their desires and Abby finds herself opening up to her husband, while Sam learns more about himself and is surprised at how readily he enjoys what he and Abby are doing. This really is a wonderful book that explores how two people, deeply in love, learn to be more honest with themselves and one another. It shows the possibilities for a stronger relationship and the struggle to fight for what you want. I loved both Abby and Sam, and their story was full of discovery, angst, acceptance and, ultimately, love. I highly recommend this book.

Elia Winters is my new go-to for delicious, erotic, and emotional romance stories. I love the way she explores the boundaries of relationships, using both sex and love. Definitely a must have for modern collections.

Elia Winters is becoming one of my favorite erotic romance others. Just Past Two is only my second book that I have read from Winters but I was hooked from the first page. I was riveted and I did not want to put this book down.

Sam and Abby have been married for 10 years and still don't know all there is to know about each other. After attending a college reunion, it becomes clear to Sam that there is still so much more to learn about the love of his life. Abby, who is apprehensive about Sam learning of her past in college soon learns that there is another side to Sam. Watching them grow in there marriage and learn more about there sexual preferences was a great thing. 'This book was hot and steamy from the beginning and hope there is more to come in this series..

I received this ARC from NetGalley in return of an honost review.

One of my favourite writing styles is when we read from both love interests perspective, so I was elated to find that Elia Winters has styled out the novel like this.

Just Past Two delivers authenticity, romance and steam in heaps. A really interesting and delicious read following a married couple who are trying to spice up their sex lives by introducing polyamorous relations into their marriage.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Good lord, this book was so smoking hot. I had never read a polyamorous book and absolutely loved it. I enjoyed it for the fact that although there were some struggles it was very relevant to the topic and didn't seem to overtake the rest of the story. The character development was very intricate and enjoyable. This was such a fun easy read I started and finished it in less than 12 hours with lots of other things in between. I loved the diversity in all aspects depicted in this novel and would highly suggest to anyone who is remotely interested in the description.

I enjoyed this book and how it was following a married couple, I thought that added something unique.. I like how it's written from both of their perspectives and it shows the emotional ups and downs they go through to find what is going to work to spice up their marriage.

This book had some seriously hot sex scenes, very thought provoking themes.
At times the thoughts it provoked made me quite uncomfortable ( I am not a prude) and I think that is a good thing, changing ones long standing thoughts on something as central as how a romantic relationship works shouldn't be easy or comfortable, nothing with it is ever easy. I like that this book challenged me.

I received Just Past Two by Elia Winters for free through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. It was nice reading a book about a happily married couple. That made it very different from most of the books I've read recently. I will say that I found it odd that the husband was okay with having his wife sleep with different men. I don't know any men in real life that would want their partners out and about with other men. I also was taken aback a bit by the fact that safe sex/STDs weren't really discussed as being a concern. I will say thought that this book was pretty hot/sizzling. If you are offended by poly-amorous relationships or kinky sex then stay clear of this book.

I liked this a lot. Marriage-in-trouble + discovering new sexual adventures together is my particular catnip. I adored how the novel paid equal attention to the erotic and emotional relationship. I’m definitely going to check out this author again.

Married couple seeking a variety of sexual experiences is how I would describe Just Past Two. It was a quick sexy read, with most of the emphasis on sexy. It's book 2 of a set, but seemed to stand alone. I was a little disappointed by the character profiles, they seemed a little two dimensional. Just Past Two is classed as erotica, and very much fits that classification. The story was entertaining, but predictable.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

Just Past Two follows a woman who realizes her freewheeling college ways don’t have to stay in the past. This book felt a little too “after school special,” with its awkward dialogue and convenient friskiness. While I’m all for people being their authentic selves, but this was all a little too pat. By this point in my exploration of the romance genre, I was feeling a bit frustrated.

Review will appear at provided link by 5/30/19.

I really liked this book the plot was believable. I haven't read this author before but will read again. It is sexually explicit. Had a really good flow.

I highly enjoyed Three-way Split, so I jumped at the chance to read another in the series. Unfortunately, for me this one didn't hit the mark. I found it lacked the emotional connection the first book did and while the sex scenes were well written and hot, they lacked the chemistry I was hoping for. I enjoyed how Sam and Abby worked to grow their relationship and communicate what they wanted and what they wanted to try and that they were both open to trying all the kinky things the other suggested. I'll definitely be on the lookout for the next book.

Abby and Sam are a perfectly happy married couple with a good sex life and open communication. Abby has put her wild days at college behind her and has no expressed desire to go back to those times, but when her college reunion comes up, she's excited but apprehensive about bringing back those memories and seeing old friends (and crushes). When she and Sam go to the reunion and inadvertently get trapped and witness another couple having sex, it turns them both on, and leads to some true confessions of the fantasy kind.

From there it's full steamy sex ahead as the couple explores their mutual kinks and livens up their marriage, though not without some concerns over how it will affect their relationship. Sam and Abby have to be completely honest with each other and trust that their partner will understand them and be willing to tell them the truth about what they desire (or don't). There are lots of sexy scenes, some of which involve toys and some involving other people. There are also some enjoyable scenes where Abby and Sam each confide in their solo friend groups about what they've been up to. It's a fun, sexy read about changing the status quo, understanding what makes each other tick, and being open to new adventures.

Just Past Two by Elia Winters (erotic, Entangled, May 2019)

Series: Comes in Threes, book 2

Just Past Two by Elia Winters is an erotic romance about a married couple who explores their sexuality after discovering a mutual voyeurism kink that leads to so much more. Abby and Sam are the married couple, happily married, by the way. But when they attend Abby’s college reunion together, they enter into a new chapter of their marriage.

Abby had been sexually adventurous in college, and while Sam was looking forward to learning more about his wife’s past, Abby was rather nervous about the reunion. She was a bit worried about sharing her past with Sam. But when the two witness an erotic encounter at the reunion, they find themselves overwhelmed by their own lust. This kicks off an erotic odyssey filled with exhibitionsim, mild BDSM and sharing for the couple.

One of my favorite things about this book is that Abby is the more sexually confident of the two. Sam certainly had had sex, but hadn’t experimented to the level that Abby had and hadn’t really discovered what made himself tick. Much of Just Past Two is about Sam’s sexual journey which is something different for me. So often, it is the female character in male/female erotic romance that is discovering her sexual self.

Abby, of course, does have a journey. While she wasn’t ashamed of her past per se, she was determined to keep it in the past. Abby had to reconcile her desire to be sexually adventurous with her being adult (meaning she had to realize that the two were compatible). And she had to trust her husband with her whole sexual person.

One of the things that Sam discovers is that he is turned on by the thought of seeing his wife with other men. This can be a tough kink to pull off in romance because of reader prohibitions against cheating. But Winters does make this work and in a very sexy fashion. Have I mentioned yet how hot this book is?

I did have one issue with this book. At one point, Sam sets up a potential date for Abby with another man. While I didn’t feel as if there were any consent issues in the scene, I did wish that Sam had discussed this with Abby before she met with the other man. I will say the sex scene that happened at this juncture almost torched my kindle. :)

Elia Winters is one of my favorite erotic writers. Her books have a sexual journey that is integral to the HEAs, and they are amazingly sexy. Just Past Two is no exception. This is the 2nd book in the Comes in Three series, but it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book.
