An interesting romance novel with a long married couple discovering their kinks and where that leads their relationship.

Abby who was a manic pixie dream girl in college , regrets some of her decisions and changes herself completely. After falling in love and marrying sam , the possible reunions and the stories of the famous "Abby wood if she could" scares her.
Sam has always been a loving caring guy . After discovering his wife's wild past , he isn't mad . Infact , he is turned on and wants more.

Abby and Sam's relationship wasn't much deep for a couple who's been married for 10 years. They felt like a newly wed couple .

Jo was a surprising character even with all the clichés of the supporting friend in an erotica. Stephen was nice enough.

Just past two was more romantic than erotica. A nice read for people who like erotica but not so much.

I thank NetGalley and the publisher for giving me a copy of this ARC to review. I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

Just Past Two unquestionably offers readers a quicker erotic fix and with a storyline premise which appealed—a married couple dipping their toes into kinkier waters—I was drawn in to see how this story would play out as Abby and Sam spice things up by living out a few of their secret fantasies.

“Well, variety is the spice of life, right?”

Now I get the whole keeping the spark alive in a marriage angle, but I can’t deny I struggled with Abby and Sam. Thing is, this is a couple who have clearly held some things back from one another over the years, it happens, yet are ten years into their marriage and at times seem to fumble and tippy toe around each other, with polite dialogue like they’ve known each other for ten minutes.

“I’m having a really good time fulfilling fantasies with you.”

That said, by the latter stages that issue had petered off and their newfound discoveries as they venture into a more open relationship and open up to one another, did add an emotional angle. But on the whole I didn’t find this a particularly romantic read, nor did I connect with the characters although you’ll get no arguments from me that the steamy content is well written. 2.5 stars.

“Don’t judge me.“

I was looking forward to reading this book. I loved the idea of a married couple story. The beginning was interesting but I got lost the more I was reading it. Don't get me wrong I love sexy scenes in a book but on this one, it was just too many without emotions. Even though they were married, I did not feel the connection. This book is not going to deter me from reading more from this author.

Abby Burke isn’t sure if she wants to bring her husband, Sam, to her college reunion as she is ashamed of her former self and is worried meeting all her past friends will spill the beans. Sam is steady, reliable and unadventurous, she doesn’t want to jeopardise her marriage by revealing her past. However, things don’t work out the way she fears and he is in fact intrigued by this new adventurous side of his wife and wants to take things further. Highly charged. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an e-ARC of Just Past Two by Elia Winters from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I read the first book in this series and enjoyed the story of three people falling in love with each other. This book is more of a married couple becoming an open relationship couple. It gave me mixed feelings, and at the end of the day, I probably will avoid books about this type of relationship because I prefer commitment and exclusivity in my happily ever afters.

However, I think the author did a great job of exploring the emotions and feelings around going into an open marriage. And the married couple very obviously love each other. There’s a lot of sexytimes in this book and they were well written. If you are into poly-romance, you will probably really like this book. It’s just not my thing.

I give it three stars because I can tell it’s a good story, but it just wasn’t the book for me.

Just Past Two by Elia Winters. Book two in the Comes in Threes series. I've not read any books by author. I still enjoyed the book. A very spicy storyline with likable characters. I look forward to reading more by author.

It’s very, very sexy! It’s rare that you read an erotic romance about a couple who is already happily married. That’s what this is. It all starts at the wife’s 10 year college reunion, where the husband finds out how sexually adventurous his wife used to be. Then during the reunion, they become unintentional voyeurs and are inspired to have oral sex while watching (completely out of character for them). So begins their fantasy adventure which carries throughout the remainder of the book.

There is A LOT of sex. Honestly, it’s almost entirely sex, (MF and MFM) sometimes with a spectator or two. If that offends you, this is definitely not the book for you.

I received an advanced reader's copy of Just Past Two by Elia Winters from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first novel that I had read by Elia Winters and it's an author I would look for in the future.

Although I was not a fan of the main female character, Abby Burke, I did enjoy the novel. I liked Abby's husband, Sam, but found her to be rather juvenile. Just couldn't see Sam's appeal for her, to be honest. The steamy moments were hot though and the secondary characters were well written.

This is the first book that I have read from Ella Winters. I enjoyed it for the most part. However, I had a hard time connecting to the characters,.

I would read more from this author, but I don't think I would recommend this book to other readers.

Like her previous book Three-Way Split, I ate this book up. I couldn't get enough of this story. I enjoyed that this followed a different "kinks" than the other book. It was paced really good for a short book that followed this couples sexual journey.

I already knew what I was walking into when picking this series up. Racy, explicit scenes that can make anyone swoon and needless to say, Elia Winters accomplished just that. I was turning page after page with more excitement than the last wanting to know what other fantasies were about to be satisfied. Perfect erotica that branch out to BDSM, open relationships and more. “Just Past Two” is definite must read.

The writing was decent I don't mind the subject matter either, but... I just didn't find it believable and that made it EXTREMELY difficult to get into and finish. I struggled hard.

1/5 stars

I think Elia Winters writes some of the best erotic romance out there. Yes, it is obviously SUPER OFF THE CHARTS SEXY, but she is just as attentive to the emotional journey of the characters, and I think that's what really sets her apart from other writers.

In this book, set in the same town of Mapleton MA, Sam and Abby have been married for 10 years. The book starts at her college reunion, where Sam really gets for the first time what a wild child she was back then. When they spy a couple having sex, it turns them both on and they go through a journey of their own, pledging to share a fantasy with each other and see if it comes true. VERY HOT.

However, the most compelling and interesting part of the book for me was the emotional journey. Abby almost flunked out of college, and she tried so hard to change herself. She's not sure how to deal with the feelings she's having about herself and Sam, herself and their marriage. Sam faces his own fantasies and what it means about the kind of man and husband he is. It's WONDERFUL. I want to go read her entire backlist. What a treat.
