K. A. Tucker you have done it again. I've been in love with your books since the beginning and am always eager to read your most recent work. Say You Still Love Me was one of the best romances that I've read this year.

Say You Still Love Me was what I was needing for my dose of romance this month, other then The Simple Wild. I love the romance in this one as it was slow burn but once you got to that one point it got pretty steamy. Great friend circles, family drama, and the perfect amount of smut. I highly recommend Say You Still Love Me to all of you romance lovers out there!

This was my first time reading something by K.A. Tucker and she is one of those authors that I know a lot of people in my life love reading. I decided to start with her newest release. This story follows Piper who is about to take over her father's company while dealing with a misogynistic co-worker who undermines her, her ex-fiance, who happens to still work at the company with her, and now the boy from camp who was her first love, Kyle. Piper is determined to reconnect with Kyle because when things broke off between them, he simply vanished and she never got the closure she needed. It's also clear that they are from different worlds as she's about to head a multi-billion dollar firm and he is the security guard of the building. Kyle is definitely reluctant to reconnect at first, and I totally understood his anxieties around it all. They worked back then but they had to see if they could work now. I'm a big fan of second chance romances, and while I'm glad that Tucker offered the reader a Now/Then perspective in terms of Piper and Kyle's relationship... at times it felt too much? There was a lot to juggle in this book in terms of Piper dealing with that aggressive undermining co-worker, Piper being tied up in her parents' drama as they are divorced, but also some leftover secrets from that summer at camp thirteen years ago... all the while the main love story at the core. Despite that, this book demonstrated not only the main core love story, but strong friendships and family connections. You got to see how Piper became friends with some camp people, but also how her family dynamics all work. It was great to see how Piper and Kyle fell in love, and seeing them rekindle that relationship again thirteen years later. The passion was still there, and although they physically changed and grew up, at the core, they were still Piper and Kyle. I really loved Piper as a character and it's easy to see why Kyle fell for her. She is so strong and resilient, but also despite her upbringing and her money, she is incredibly down-to-earth and caring about her loved ones. All in all, I enjoyed this read. It did feel long for me in some aspects, but I understand why Tucker gave all the background information. She knows how to world-build in a novel, and that's great to see in a romance book. Like I mentioned earlier, this was my first Tucker novel, and I look forward to going back and checking out her backlist. I definitely think fans of Christina Lauren would enjoy her writing!

Say You Still Love Me is the story of Piper, a 29-year-old woman, preparing to take over her father's multi-million dollar company, while dealing with obnoxious male coworkers, recently calling off her wedding, and a father with good intentions but who interferes a little too much in her romantic life. As well, it's the story of a summer that changed her life forever. Enter Kyle, a newly hired security guard for the building where Piper works, and evidently the very boy who broke Piper's heart all those years ago. In this novel, the past and present collide as feelings are rekindled, and secrets begin to emerge as to what happened that summer.

The story is set during two different time periods; the summer Piper was 16 and worked as a camp counselor, and her present day life 13 years later. For me, the story provided the perfect mix of these two time frames. The backstory was important to the development of the present day story. The author also did a wonderful job of keeping the transitions smooth while alternating back and forth. The storyline and characters kept me engaged from start to finish, and I found myself just wanting to know what would happen next.

The story is a bit slow to start out, but it is worth it as the plot begins to build in the second half of the book. Although this is not a book I would likely read again, overall it was worth reading and is definitely a great book to read during the summer months, and made me nostalgic for years gone by. A story of first love, but also second chance love.

What I liked:
The dual timeline. This is one of those things that either works or it doesn’t, and I thought the author did a good job of weaving the past with the present. I did prefer the teen days, but I was impressed by how things were tied together.

The summer camp setting from Piper’s teen days. Summer camp didn’t appeal to me as a kid but as an adult, I love the idea of sleep-away camp, so I enjoyed that aspect of the book and I loved that when Piper’s mom said she’d make life-long friends at camp, she was right.

Piper. As a teen, she was willing to take responsibility for her actions, and as an adult she was hardworking and she stood up for herself. She worked for her dad’s company and was set to take over the business, but she earned that right by working hard. It wasn’t handed to her.

There was nothing I specifically disliked about this book, I just found it...middle of the road. I didn’t feel any strong emotions, which made it hard to get invested in the story. I wanted Piper and Kyle to be together, and I appreciated their history, but I wasn’t rooting for them the way I do with a lot of other fictional couples. Overall it was an okay read - not particularly exciting or memorable, but it was a nice summer read and I’m glad I had a chance to read it.

In the acknowledgments K.A. Tucker writes thst she came up with the idea for a summer camp second chance romance while dropping her children off at summer camp. That her main goal is to always make her readers feel something. Well girl you hit this one out of the park for me. This is my life story, except I'm not a big corporate hot shot.
Piper has always had anything she could ever dream of. When her mother suggests she work at camp that she worked at when younger for the summer to be socialized with "regular" people, plus it will look good on her college resume. Pipers not really enthusiastic until they arrive ands she sets eyes on Kyle, she knows it will be a great summer. If only she could of forseen what they would get up to and how tragically the summer would end.
Still heartbroken 13 years later working at her father's billion dollar corporate she thinks she's seen Kyle again. Could it really be the love of her 16 year old self. What does he want and why has he returned?
This novel is amazing maybe because i feel so much nostalgia from reading it or maybe because its a beautifully written love story! Told in a now and then prespective. It brings together the trials of love, loss, heartache and family drama in both a teenager's and grownups world. This book is definitely one i will recommend from years to come.

Say You Still Love Me is about Piper & Kyle who fell in love over the summer at camp when they were teens, went their separate ways & are reunited over a decade later only to pick up where they left off.

Piper, daughter of a wealthy real estate development owner is working her way up the ladder, hoping her dad will see her as future head of the company when her father retires, though his lifelong colleague doesn’t agree & works hard to get in her way. Kyle, who’s not had the easiest family life moves crossed country with his younger brother & surprisingly shows up as the new security guard at her father’s sky high office building.

I think Piper was a strong, smart, & career driven woman that we don’t see enough of in romance & I really liked her character. As someone who works in the construction field you can bet that woman get treated pretty poorly & Piper’s experiences being spoken down to & not taken seriously were dead on but her character was headstrong, determined, & never lost site of her aspirations which I really appreciated.

Kyle wasn’t my favourite love interest, though he was a stand up dude & the adult version of him was charming I didn’t feel a connection to him on his own or his & Piper’s relationship as teens away at camp.

Though that was the case of course I found the book super enjoyable, as I do with all KA Tucker’s work & I bet this fun second chance romance
will be a popular summertime beach read this year ★★★.5

I was first introduced to K.A. Tucker when I read The Simple Wild. It is one of my favourite reads of 2019 so I was super excited to receive an ARC for Say You Still Love Me.
While second chance romances are not really my thing, I was intrigued by this one. A romance that started at a camp when they were teens? Ohhh! Sounds good to me....and it was.
It was a little hard to connect with the main character at first because you are flipping between timelines. One when she was only 16 and working as a Camp Councillor and the other when she is a high powered 29 year old woman in real estate development. It was almost like reading two different characters. Once I read more from the teen years I started to connect a little bit more. I liked the older Piper just as much as the younger one. She was smart and successful in a career but still wanted to reconnect with Kyle no matter why he left so suddenly when they were teens.
I enjoyed this book and it made me miss those years as a camper. A lot of fun times.

I've been a fan of Tucker's writing for a while and when this book was announced, I knew I needed to pick it up! Summer camp romance, the one who got away, Tucker's ability to write amazing relationships? I was ready to go! And turns out this one ended up being a new favourite!

This book follows Piper Calloway, a high-profile businesswoman poised to take over her father's real estate firm. Her job is hard enough without running into Kyle Miller, the cute new security guard at the building - and the first love of her life. Told in alternating perspectives from present-day and thirteen years ago at the summer camp where they fell in love, Piper re-experiences the wave of emotions she felt from that summer. Convinced their reunion is not a coincidence, Piper vows to get to the bottom of why Kyle is back in her life - and why he broke her heart all those years ago.

Firstly, the writing of this book was supremely done. Not only is Tucker a talented writer in terms of weaving an interesting, well-thought-out story, but she is also able to flawlessly transition between timelines without missing a beat. I never once felt like I was wishing for the other timeline when I was in the middle of the other and I was genuinely interested in both.

In typical Tucker fashion, the romance was swoon-worthy and had me blushing at even the most mundane of kisses. The dynamic between Kyle and Piper at camp was adorable and sweet and believable, despite having only known each other for such a short period of time. It didn't feel insta-lovey at all, in fact, I was feeling like things were going slower than I wanted them to, but in the best possible way!

I would say this one wasn't quite as much of a gut-punch as Tucker's other books, especially her earlier ones that have some darker themes. This one was a bit lighter while still being interesting and well written, both stylistically and in terms of plot. It didn't need the raw emotions of some of her other books to keep things going, although things aren't all sunshine and rainbows all the time - just not nearly as dark.

Overall, if you are looking for a book that will make you feel nostalgic about first loves and a summer camp you may have never even gone to, definitely pick this one up!

This one was a true page turner for me! I was so obsessed with this book, I had a hard time putting it down! Had I not been away on vacation, I would have probably finished it in a day. It was action packed and so entertaining. Hands down my favourite book by this author yet (but I loved them all)! I’m sad it’s over, I feel a book hangover coming.. I loved all the characters and the dual timeline worked perfectly for me, I enjoyed both camp Wawa & the 13 years later chapters. Very well written!

I suggest picking this one up ASAP!

K.A. Tucker is fast becoming a must-read author for me. I read and absolutely loved A Simple Wild. So, when I saw she had a new book coming out – and it involved summer camp?! I was sold.
Piper Calloway is a 29-year-old business woman, in a male dominated field – she is destined to take over her fathers’ company. This book has dual timelines, following Piper in the present day, and her 16th summer.
When Piper was 16, her mother gets Piper to agree to go to a summer camp to be a councilor. Piper quickly fell in lust, and in love, with Kyle. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, they knew. They spent every free moment they could together, along with Eric and Ashley. Something happens near the end of the summer that changes the trajectory of their lives.
Flash forward 13 years, Piper is successful and helping run her father’s company. When one day, she sees a familiar face in the lobby of her office building. She can’t believe her eyes. The boy that broke her heart at 16. Kyle. Piper is still friends with 2 other camp councilors – Ashley and Christa. They live with her, and the bond they created over the years is a special one.
The story moves along, and we learn more about what happened that one fateful summer, and Piper and Kyle quickly get back in each other’s orbit, falling back in to lust.
Everything comes to a head, when Piper’s father finds out that Kyle is back in her life. Secrets long buried are unearthed and Pipers life is thrown in to a tailspin.
The accident that ended their summer in 2006, was more tragic that Piper was lead to believe.

This is a really good second chance romance. If that is your thing, I definitely recommend picking this one up. Even if it isn’t, but you love summer/camps/lakes/falling in love… this is a great book to check out. It is fluffy to begin, but the ending is more serious. Piper is a strong female lead, who says what she is thinking and goes after what she wants.

The flashbacks to summer camp made me nostalgic for my teenage years. The freedom, going to the lake, and falling in love for the first time.

Say You Still Love Me was the epitome of a perfect second chance romance and if you're looking for a summer/beach read that you won't be able to put down then look no further.

This book just made me feel so good! It has those teenage, new love butterflies churning in your belly right up to those heart stopping, toe curling adult hotness moments. It makes you relive those hot summer teenage nights when you were probably up to no good and you wouldn't change a thing. It induced such a feeling of nostalgia and took me back to a time when things were easier and we just didn't realize how things would change.

I love that Piper and Kyle got that chance to reconnect and relive what drew them together in the first place. Sometimes first loved are meant to be forever loves <3

Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker is the quintessential novel that is perfect for summer. The dual timelines and interesting main character make it a fun, yet dramatic novel. Also, the side characters are well-developed and add to the whimsical side of the story.

Books about summer camp really seem to set the tone for an enjoyable summer-themed read. Say You Still Love Me takes place at a typical summer camp when Piper is sixteen, and then alternates to present day (thirteen years later.) Piper’s experiences as a camp counsellor and her first time falling in love are so enjoyable to read about. This whole side of the novel is super entertaining and the antics that the teenagers get involved in are outrageous.

❀ BOLD MAIN CHARACTER

Piper is a bold and determined character that stands up to quite a few chauvinists in the present day section of the book. It is interesting to see how she has really continued to be a strong, caring person as an adult, despite some of her hurdles. She is a wise woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. I loved reading about her reconnection with her first love. At first it seems a bit too convenient, but as the story progresses it becomes clear that Piper and Kyle have something real real.

❀ AMAZING SIDE CHARACTERS

Not only is Piper a fantastic character, the numerous friends and co-workers in the book are amazing as well. Her camp friends have unique personalities that will be recognizable if you are a fan of Friends. For example, there is the rule-abiding Christa who keeps everyone in line, Ashley who is a little bit flaky, and Eric who is a fun-loving player.

If you enjoy a summer-themed read, I highly suggest Say You Still Love Me. The book has a bit of summer fun mixed in with some dramatic intrigue. Perfect for your summer TBR.

As a KA Tucker fan, I had high expectations for this book. It is not my favourite but it did keep me reading and left me wanting more.

The book Is written in the past and present (chapters are labeled) and told in first person by the main character Piper, a rich girl with a down to earth hard working mindset. Her first job at a “lower class” summer camp and the shenanigans she and fellow counselors get into. And her adult life in a male driven industry trying to prove her place; and earn the respect of her over-bearing father.
The love interest; a bad boy Kyle; from the wrong side of the tracks who takes Piper on a journey both in the past and present.

A fun and light romantic read.

I'm a huge fan of K.A. Tucker so it's always a pleasure to be able to read one of her beautiful stories. This time around its a second chance love story. Piper Calloway was a young spoiled girl but didn't act like it especially when it came to working her first job at summer camp. Here is where she met Kyle Miller. Kyle and Piper have a sweet young romance until Kyle vanishes out of nowhere, now many years later Piper sees Kyle again. Now she can hopefully get some answers from her first love.

I did think this was very well written but sadly I've read this similar story line for it not to be too predictable. There were a couple of twists and turns to make it unique and bring a tear to my eye, but not enough to make it feel like a totally new experience.

However, I did like the bond of friendship between Christa and Ashley. I also am a sucker for second chance romance and it was well done. For some this will be a new experience and for others it will feel over done. But in the end it was still well written and I will always love this author no matter what.

Though her family was very extremely wealthy, when Piper was sixteen, her mother got her a job at a summer camp as a counselor. Her mother, who didn't grow up rich, had gone to this camp and had fabulous memories and wants her daughter to experience the same thing. Piper wanted go to Europe like her friends but soon changed her mind when she spied fellow camp counselor, Kyle. Even though Kyle was poor and most of his family is in prison, they fell in love over the eight weeks. Their relationship didn't survive the summer and Piper's heart was broken.

Thirteen years later, Piper is working for her father's company, being groomed to take over. She has recently broken up with her ex-fiancé, David, who works for the company and whom Piper's dad loves. Piper, though, still thinks about Kyle and what could have been. Then she discovers that he is working as a security guard in her company's building and wonders if she should confront him to find out what happened all those years ago and perhaps pick up where they left off.

I've read and liked many books by this author ... but this one didn't do it for me. I knew going in that it was a romance and while I don't mine romance in stories, I like there to be some substance besides that. But because I like this author, I went ahead and read it.

It's written in first person perspective in Piper's voice. The story alternates back and forth between the summer at camp and now (the chapters are labeled). I found the characters a bit stereotypical ... an overbearing controlling rich dad, an older employee who does all he can to sabotage our heroine, the brother who was strong enough to break away from the family and do what he wants, the quirky friends, the poor boy ~ rich girl combo, etc. As a head's up, there is swearing and adult activity.

I had a hard time believing that Piper was still obsessed about Kyle. Piper had it all ... friends, money, education, a high-power job and even an ex-fiancé ... but she still pined over a boy she fell in love with 13 years ago for eight weeks when she was 16! No way! I wasn't buying it. The Piper of today sounded just as immature as the Piper from 13 years ago, which was not realistic.

I couldn't decide who the target audience was for this book. When it was back in the camp days, it seemed more directed to young adults. I found it icky as an adult reading the details of teenagers Piper and Kyle making out or thinking about making or talking about making out in the summer camp. In the "now" timeline, it seemed more directed to adults ... though it was basically a repeat of what they did and felt at the camp but in a nice condo rather than in a cabin or on rocks.

This was my first K.A. Tucker novel and I’m even more excited to read The Simple Wild now. Say You Still Love me is set in present day with flashback scenes to a summer camp, where the main characters, Piper and Kyle, are camp counselors. I don’t know about you, but I always wished I went to a sleepaway camp as a kid/teen so hearing the inside outs of summer camp was so fun for me. I loved the young love and second chance romance story lines.

The only thing that didn’t work for me was the flashback steamy bits. Because they were involving 16 & 17 yr olds, it just felt odd reading it, and I wish that it was less descriptive and more “leave it to the imagination” type writing for those scenes. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about the steamy parts, but not a fan of it with teenagers and especially outside of the YA genre. But again, this might just be me and definitely don’t let that stop you from reading it as the story outshines it for sure.

A Second chance romance of two people who meet working at a summer camp as teenagers and meet again thirteen years later.

Piper fell in love with Kyle at camp Wawa when she was 16 years old and he was 17. He disappeared after that summer. Now she’s 29 and working in the corporate world preparing to take over her father’s company. Kyle comes back into her life as the newest security guard in the building and he doesn’t seem to remember her. Or does he?

This story is told in dual timelines between the past and present.

We go back down memory lane to that summer where they first fall in love to see how their story began. Piper is a different person now than she was thirteen years ago but her love for Kyle remains the same. We get to see her professional life and how she has to constantly prove herself as being just as capable as the men in authorial positions.

The relationship between Piper and Kyle started off as instalove but it also felt very real, honest and imperfect. You really root for them throughout the whole story.

I liked how this book also has a female friendship between three women who are completely different but remain lifelong friends.

This book has a strong ending and the plot twist really puts everything into perspective but I wanted to see more them in the present.

This would be a perfect summer read because of the camp setting.

This was the first K.A. Tucker book that I’ve read and I really enjoyed it! Piper Calloway is an intelligent and capable woman in a male dominated field. Recently promoted to VP at her father’s billion dollar real estate development firm, Piper has to face sexism in the workplace and seeing her ex-fiancé on a daily basis. One day she comes down to the lobby to discover her first love, Kyle, working as a security guard in her building. She hasn’t seen or heard from him since he broke her heart and disappeared after their whirlwind summer working together as camp counsellors. Told in dual time lines we follow present day Piper as well as teenage Piper, 13 years ago when she first met Kyle.

I enjoyed this book and really liked having the dual time lines and flash backs. I never went to camp but I loved seeing it from the perspectives of these characters. I wish there was more time spent on the development of the relationship, especially when the characters were adults, than just going off of memories of their past and their chemistry. I wish the steamier bits had been more so in the present day timeline than the flashbacks but I loved that there was such a big emphasis on consent and safe sex. I loved Tucker’s writing and I’m excited to read more of her books!
