Didn't really enjoy this one. It just felt all a little too predictable for me and it just couldn't hold my interest. I had to re-pick it up many times.

I am sorry I tried....but it was just not for me.
The plot was slow. The magic disappeared. The title captivated me, but the book did not. I wish it would have been better.

Didn't enjoy this much. The writing style was simple enough to breeze through but I didn't like the story a lot. Stuff happened too conveniently and everything ends up being related like that's too cliche. At the same time, it feels like nothing much happened and Blake's problems didn't evoke any feelings in me because I knew something convenient will happen that will magically solve it.

The story didn't live up to the sypnosis in my opinion. The redeeming quality I guess are the cleverness of the inventions.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with the digital copy for an honest review.

AMAZING! Well one, the cover is definitely an attention grabber, but the story inside is even better. This book was so amazing and I can’t wait to see more from the author. I finished it very quickly because I absolutely could NOT put it down!!

This book just wasn’t for me I thought that it had the potential to be exciting but, I was just bored all the way through. I was not invested with Blake and didn’t really care what happened to him I couldn’t even tell you what the other characters are called. Too much description of boring day to day life for my liking.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is based on the Danish fable, "The Princess's Birthmarks". It's a modern retelling of a fairytale which I'm a sucker for.

I was really intrigued by the premise as well as the gorgeous cover.

It was well written and enjoyable. I liked how the author wrote it in a modern yet whimsical style.

The characters were likable and relatable. I liked how Blake stayed true to himself and those that he cared for.

The story was funny, well written, and enjoyable.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I was mostly confused reading this book. It’s based on a danish fairy tale that I have literally never heard of. So I guess that didn’t help. I was intrigued towards the end, but it fell flat for me.

I'm a sucker for fairy tale/fable retellings, and this one was no exception. The writing style permitted an extremly quick, enjoyable read. I'm giving a pass for the insta love, considering the retelling aspect.

Thanks for the opportunity, Netgalley.com. I loved this book, it was fun, and I've never read a fable book before.

In the past, I have read books that conform to a pattern and this book does not do that. I enjoyed reading it very much, and I would love to read it again. It was a great story and I would recommend it to everyone that loves to read about a fairytale type of story.
