I’ve been a huge fan of Catherine Coulter’s FBI Thriller series for years, books that can be read as standalone’s or in order. LABYRINTH is the twenty-third novel in the series, though I haven’t read the previous release, I had no trouble diving back into the lives of Special Agent’s Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock, and many of the characters featured in previous books. The agents work on two different cases that are presented in alternating chapters that are easy to follow and will keep you the edge of your seat until the very end.

If you’re a fan of fast-paced thrillers, I highly recommend you read Coulters FBI series, so much fun!

Thank you NetGalley and Gallery Books for providing me with an advanced copy of LABYRINTH.

With very short time before the bomb goes off during a lunar eclipse Mike makes a decision to stop the bomb. Pate's friends don't arrive so she returns to the control room and Mike takes care of her. Their back up arrives. Back home in New York Nicholas and Mike recount their adventures.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time while reading this book. It's a suspenseful thrill ride of an adventure. Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison don't disappoint. They keep you wondering if Dr. Patel's alien friends are real or just her insane imagination. I'm still not sure. This is the sixth book in the Brit in the FBI series and I can't wait for more. Drummond and Caine always seem to have the time of their lives. This time they weren't even looking for a world saving event it just fell into their laps. Catherine and J.T. more of this dynamic duo, PLEASE!!

Two stories, both serious on their own work together to form a labyrinth of deceit, lies and dead ends in searching for the truth and resolution.
One story is of struck by the kidnapping of a teen girl with no leads but the coincidence of two other missing teen girls from neighboring towns. Enter a psychic woman with the power to affect minds. In the other story, a master plan to infiltrate and spy on the Federal Reserve meeting in order to benefit financially from the outcome. Through it all, Lacey Sherlock has amnesia caused by a car wreck involving another victim of the spying ring.
Tense moments abound with you wondering what is going to happen next and to whom.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What an adventure. You have two different cases going on this book. You add to that Sherlock's amnesia and it makes for an interesting book to read. Though Sherlock can't remember anything she still has a brilliant mind. We head to a small town where Griffin is on vacation for all of 5 seconds before he's thrown into a new case. Dillon does everything to help Griffin while trying to figure out another mystery happening right in Washington, DC. All the while hoping Sherlock comes back to herself. The amount of love Dillon has for Sherlock makes you hope that more men like him are out there. These are great cases to try and solve. Is the next book out yet, haha?!?!

Two seemingly unrelated cases enliven Labyrinth, the 23rd entry in the FBI Thriller series.

Agent Sherlock hits a running man with her car while caroming around after being struck herself by an SUV running a red light. Waking up in the hospital, she can’t remember her name or recognize her family. Blood found on her car is linked to a missing CIA Analyst. Where did the obviously hurt man go after the accident? More importantly, who or what was he running from?

In rural Gaffer’s Ridge, FBI Agent Griffin Hammersmith is taking a vacation trying to forget his recent break-up with his fiancée Anna and a particularly bizarre recent case with Agent Savich. He hears someone’s thoughts, who is in danger. Carson DeSilva is trapped with a man who, she psychically believes, has already brutally killed three missing teenagers. Once free with the killer Rafer Bodine trapped, Griffin calls the police. But will he and Carson get justice when the Sheriff poo-poos their claim and states his nephew, Rafer, is an upstanding citizen—not a serial killer.

Agents Savich and Sherlock continue to bring original plots to their books. The amnesia throws a wrench into their relationship but you feel nothing could bring them down for long.

There is a lot going on here but the author does a good job keeping all the subplots boiling. Usually, one plot is the main one leaving the others as kind of a filler you have to rush through to get back to the interesting story. That didn’t happen in Labyrinth. All the plots were compelling. I read the book in one sitting. It is a great addition to the FBI Thriller series. 4 stars!

Another winner from Catherine Coulter starring Agent Sherlock and her husband Dillon Savich! I've read all the FBI thriller series, and they do not disappoint. The plot is tight and absorbing, and the other characters in the book are as interesting as Sherlock and Savich. I like reading about the FBI procedures, but also enjoy watching their marriage get stronger as the books go on.

I highly recommend this book and all the books in the series.

Thanks to Gallery, Pocket Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 23rd installment in this FBI series. I have read some but not all. I enjoy the fast pace, non-stop action and witty interaction between the 2 main agents. This book weaves a complicated story that keeps your attention all the way through.

I love pretty much every single thing Catherine Coulter puts out, but I do believe this newest book is my favorite. It’s definitely a little different than the other Savich and Sherlock books. After a very serious accident, Sherlock has amnesia and has no idea who Dillon (or Sean)...or anyone really is. This happens in the midst of another serious issue that could really use our favorite FBI agents. Girls are missing and a journalist is kidnapped by someone she believes to be responsible for the disappearances.
There was quite a bit of intrigue and some interesting characters in this one and I absolutely loved it!

An entertaining, intriguing, complex, deceptive, twisted storyline…

This is the twenty-third book in the FBI Thriller series that can be read as a stand-alone.

Imagine waking up and not knowing who you are or who the people in your life are. The mind can’t really conceive the depth of such trauma but for those with amnesia, it’s a terrifying reality. FBI Agent Sherlock started out on what she expected to be a normal drive when another automobile struck hers sending her Volvo careening out of control at an intersection, to make matters worse she strikes a man who slams into her windshield, his blood on the glass is one of the last things she perceives before the world falls into darkness. Awakening in a hospital, suffering from a severe concussion, the sight of her husband does not provide the comfort it should because she doesn’t know who he or she is.

This reader wondered who the reality was worse for Sherlock or Savitch who had lost the woman he loved. But a little thing like amnesia will not stop these two from finding out what happened and who the man Sherlock unfortunately hit was not to mention helping a friend in trouble. It was interesting how the amnesia was portrayed, one might lose their memories but what is inherent to a person remains and shines through periodically bringing color to the blank canvas they happen to be.

There’s something very wrong in the town of Gaffer’s Ridge, Virginia. FBI Agent Hammersmith, in the area on vacation visiting friends, rescues a kidnapped woman with an interesting tale to tell regarding her abductor but local law enforcement doesn’t believe them or that Hammersmith is even FBI. When you accuse the nephew of the local Sheriff and the son of the richest man in town of a crime you have a problem and being thrown in jail is the least of the problem. It’s good to have bad-ass connections, the cavalry that arrives to save Hammersmith, a take no-nonsense woman with a team in full riot gear and loaded submachine guns made for quite an entertaining scene. Hammersmith now has a difficult job ahead of him and finding the truths hidden in this town won’t be as simple as a jailbreak.

This author never just provides one storyline to confound the reader, she’s intertwined two intriguing cases that may or may not be connected. The book is aptly titled, it has a devilishly labyrinthine plot that’s shockingly twisted, filled with a depth of complexity that had this reader wondering how the author manages to keep track of it all and she does so superbly. The reader is kept riveted with fast-paced action and suspense, great characters with tangible emotions, the inclusion of moments of entertaining humor, and deceptive mysteries to try and unravel before they are resolved. The unexpected paranormal aspect was intriguing, the villains were decidedly evil yet so human.

An advanced reading copy was obtained from the publisher via NetGalley.

This book starts with a literal bang when Sherlock is t-boned at and intersection. As she is spinning out of control, she hits a man who then disappears. But what was he doing in the intersection in the first place? Adding to the mystery, Sherlock's head injuries are such that she gets amnesia and can't remember anything about what happened. In fact, she can't remember anything at all.
At the same time, Agent Griffin Hammersmith is taking some time off in Virginia when he hears a psychic scream. A woman is being attacked. But when local law enforcement arrives, they're more interested in covering up than in helping.
Carson is in the store when a man just starts thinking at her. He's ruminating on the death of one of three missing girls. She inadvertently draws attention to herself and wakes up in a basement. Rather than interviewing an eminent scientist, she is now trying to escape with her life.
Griffin has the FBI to throw so throw he does. But the secret that they uncover is big enough that they need both Sherlock and Savich. But the Ss still need to find Justice, the man who Sherlock hit. As a CIA agent, he holds the key to uncovering a major conspiracy.
The two stories are not well connected but it was otherwise a good read.

Labyrinth – Catherine Coulter

I was fortunate to receive this book as an Advance Reader Copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an objective review.

Savich & Sherlock’s newest adventure starts off suddenly, when Sherlock is out running errands, and she is suddenly t-boned in an intersection, causing her to strike a pedestrian as her car careens out of control. When she regains consciousness at the hospital, she remembers the body striking her windshield, but no victim is found at the scene. Who was he and what became of him?

Agent Griffin Hammersmith is out visiting a college friend in Gaffer’s Ridge and is walking through the streets of the more remote sections of town when he hears a voice screaming for help. Taking a quick look around, he sees no one, and he heads for the nearest home to assist. Inside, Carson DeSilva, has managed to free herself from after being kidnapped and wrapped in duct tape, and is waving a broken piece of pipe at her captor as she yells for help. Griffin bursts through the door, distracting the kidnapper, who Carson then hits in the head, subduing him. When they call for help from the local police, they learn that then kidnapper is the sheriff’s nephew, and both Griffin & Carson find themselves locked up. Griffin calls Savich for help.

As Griffin & Carson talk amongst themselves, he learns of her abilities, that seem to mirror his own – she had heard the kidnapper, Rafer Bodine, thinking about three missing girls, and how one of them had died hard. As the FBI descends upon the town of Gaffer’s Ridge and takes over the investigation, it appears that the entire Bodine family perhaps has something to hide…but what??

As both investigations continue, Sherlock struggles to overcome her injuries, as she and Dillon continue their search for the missing and injured pedestrian, they learn that he was a CIA analyst, and surmise that he is on the run…but from what? Meanwhile, during a search of the Bodine properties, Sherlock learns that the Bodine matriarch may have a few psychic secrets of her own…

This is another series that I just cannot get enough of! Sherlock & Savich are like old friends that have come back to visit, each time I open the cover of a new book, and I just want the story to go on and on. Saying goodbye as I turn the last page is always so hard to do! Another, great, un-put-downable read from one of the best!!

FBI Thriller #23 by Catherine Coulter. Been reading her books for - ever!!! Her writing, characters, plots and her skill with words is the reason this series continues. Even that being said this work can easily stand alone for those that have not been long time fans. The name Labyrinth because two separate story lines are told with the characters crossing into each of the plots. Beginning is a crash that sends FBI Agent Lacey Sherlock to the hospital only to awaken with no memory of those around her. Meanwhile in Gaffer's Ridge WV Agent Griffin Hammersmith meets and comes to the rescue of Carson DaSilva who has been kidnapped. Lots of action going on that is suspenseful to the end. "A copy of this book was provided by Gallery Books via NetGalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Quick pace and action packed. Sherlock is involved in an accident that quickly unfolds into another case. This was not one of my favorites from this series, but still a fun read.

Readers of this series (and don't worry- it's fine as a standalone) know that the best thing about it is the relationship between Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock. This time out, though, Sherlock has been in an accident and is experiencing amnesia. She can't remember Savich and even worse, she doesn't remember their son. Patience...patience. At the same time, Sa Griffin Hammersmith finds himself in Gaffer's Ridge, West Virginia where Carson has just escaped from a mad man but no one will do ANYTHING because the person she alleged kidnapped her (and murdered others) is a member of a powerful clan. He enlists Savich and Sherlock and ultimately, the full force of the FBI. This is twisty with a fair number of characters in the two plot threads (there's a whole thing with a CIA analyst as well) but you won't get lost in it. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good read for fans of conspiracy/law enforcement/FBI thrillers.

I admit I do like Catherine Coulter's older romance books. The suspense she switched to now is a good read but it is simply not my genre. Due to respect for the author I dont want to stop reading them, so I continue.
It was a very good read....but because I loved her historical romance books better this is something hard to get into and different.
Saying that I will continue reading her books as they are punished.

Provided with an ARC to read and review. An intoxicating Savich and Sherlock book that will keep you turning page after page to see what excitement happens next. Catherine Coulter has done a superb job of writing a fabulous book. "Just one more chapter......please!" Enjoy! 📚📚

4.25 STARS

In this 23rd installment to author Catherine Coulter’s FBI series, Savich & Sherlock find themselves embroiled in yet another twisted, complicated case that appears to be linked to the car accident that has left Sherlock with a concussion and amnesia. At the same time, Special Agent Griffin Hammersmith finds his vacation in Gaffer’s Ridge, Virginia, interrupted by a bizarre case involving the kidnapping of several young women, where the prime suspect comes from a powerful family and is the nephew of the local sheriff.

Right out of the gate, the events surrounding Sherlock’s car accident and the intriguing circumstances that enveloped Griffin in Gaffer’s Ridge, had captured my attention, drawing me into this story. However, as the story continued to unfold, it did so at a sluggish rate, and I found myself disengaging on several occasions.

Overall, both cases were interesting and absorbing, but some of the peculiar aspects of the Gaffer’s Ridge case was a bit over-the-top for my tastes. Nevertheless, I found “Labyrinth” to be an enjoyable read and another great installment to one of my favorite series.
