Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the E-arc copy of this novel.
I really enjoy this series! I love the pop culture references, the detective feel of the novels, and the ability to laugh out loud while reading these books! It is refreshing to read something not completely full of doom and gloom!

Ok, I’ll admit I had some moments in this book where I shouted and wanted to throw my kindle or strangle one of the characters- but I absolutely loved it! The storyline is a bit complicated but the way it all plays out is just a work of art. I love all of the characters so much, I already can’t wait to read it again! I hope we get more than just one more golden arrow book, I need a dozen more!

3.5 stars!
MG is a gal after my own heart. Having loved THE FRAME-UP, I was stoked that THE QUEEN CON was available on NetGalley.
I really enjoy Meghan Scott Molin's writing style. These books are chock-full of quippy lines, all the nerdy references, and very real characters.
I loved that this novel focused on MG's best friend, L, the consummate drag queen. It's a culture that many are now interested in because of Rupaul's Drag Race, and Molin highlights how involved the costuming, character development, and politics of the art form can be.
Matteo is definitely a heartthrob, and I appreciated the intricacies of their relationship. MG has very real anxiety that I could undoubtedly relate to; I'm glad Molin didn't just gloss over the hard part of romantic entanglements.
As with THE FRAME-UP, fans of detective fiction, science fiction, fantasy and/or drag will adore this novel.

Oh My God, I don't even know how to say how good this book is. I have read the first book The Frame up and I loved it. I liked the fact that Meghan Scott Molin included social issues that are relevant today and continued them into Queen Con. Queen Con takes you to the dark side and it gets your blood pressure going. The characters which are the same I came to know and love from The Frame-up are so real you want to call them up to hang out. I love murder mysteries and try to guess the who done it. This time I was at a loss and I had to wait till the end to find out. It is a book with many secrets and plot shifts that MG handled with the strange way her mind works. Yes, it is a geek world where nerds reign but at 67 years old I had no problem identifying with a lot of the references the Author mentioned. I was in fact surprised at my inner geek. I highly recommend this book and can't wait till the next one comes out. Please, Megan Scott Molin, write a third and know your fans will be waiting.

The first book in this series was better but this one is nonetheless fun to read and engaging.
I liked the quirky characters, the great setting and the entertaining plot.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.
Recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

There is a lot going on in this book; too much for the author to manage. It feels very similar to the first book, but there, the adventure felt mad-cap and zany. By book two, it feels like we have a character who doesn't know her own mind and can't set boundaries, and a story that has an extra couple of plots thrown in. Definitely a promising author, but we're not quite there yet.

A great 2nd book in the series by Meghan Scott Molin! I really enjoyed both her first book and this book. MG is a girl nerd with a group of “misfit friends” and they solve crimes and help each other become better selves. I love how supportive the cast is of social issues. MG is called out on her “nerd snobbery” and she grows as a character too. I can’t wait for the next book!

(Will post to Goodreads and Amazon once book is released.)

That was fun!

Drag queens, drugs, mystery, romance, superheroes, nerd love, and murder!

I enjoyed the emotional journey of our Yin Yang couple, Michael-Grace and Mateo. Mateo is crush-worthy.

The mystery was not ass good as book one but overall it felt like a better book. Probably because MG is less prickly and the characters are so likable they now feel like old friends.

And the nerd love! For the love of Thor give me book three soon!

“For a few moments, I let the worries fall away, and do what I love best—lose myself in another world.”
