Really excellent mystery book with a jaw-dropping twist! I'd definitely like to read more from this author, as I felt the book was a good 'what if' involving three ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.

The sections set during the mens' college days were put in at just the right moments to underline why things were happening and the tensions between each of them, and the final summing up of what it had all been about all along was excellent.

A real lesson in the lengths people are willing to go to protect themselves and will have you questioning how well we really know anyone!

Three-Day Affair takes the "reunion of old friends" plot and adds dark twists in a plot that is suspenseful and credible. The characters are complex and sympathetic, if not entirely likable. Plot and characterization work together in a way that marries a genre suspense novel to literary fiction. Unlike most marriages, this one succeeds.
