I loved the dating a celebrity trope here in this book, and there were also a lot of very sweet goats roaming around this book. But I felt the book a little long and it dragged in some places.

This was a good escape read. The characters were compelling and I enjoyed how they developed through the story. This is the only book I've read by this author but I plan on seeking more of her work out to read. I was not disappointed and I was pleasantly surprised by the story.

Well I was under the spell of this book from the opening chapter, where we meet Baby the Escapee goat. And Jennifer whose cottage its got into.

Jennifer is hiding from the world and trying to heal her broken heart. She's very into Cornish folklore, and the stories she tells are fascinating.

Not looking for love but when has that ever stopped your heart.

Meeting Nelly and Alex is life changing and I was delighted to see how Jennifer developed over the course of the story.

Such warm writing that had me gripped. I was barely able to put the book down I was enjoying it that much.

It was great to be back in Pethporro and I hope to be able to visit this charming Cornish village again in the future.

Thank you to Quercus and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Uplifting, feel good romance... escaping from a broken heart Jennifer makes her escape to Cornwall for some much needed soul searching and recuperation. She meets Alex who is seeking anonymity and seclusion....and there follows the story of their blossoming relationship...and true to form it doesn't always run smoothly.. A great summer read, good characterisation and a warm romance. Nelly was a great addition!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for letting me read this book.
It was definitely different; the storyline was not what I expected at all. There was quite a lot of drama and although the characters were trying to work through their issues, at times the interactions felt forced. The chemistry didn't feel altogether there.
Nanny was a good character, and the countryside and witchy quirks were an added bonus, even with the busy plot. The goats were cute too.

A feel-good summer read that is charming, delightful and full of heart, All Summer With You is a sparkling romantic tale that made me smile and made me want to move to Cornwall. Perfect for fans of Cathy Bramley and Veronica Henry, All Summer With You is a spellbinding page-turner that should not be missed.

Broken-hearted Jennifer Bolitho had been devastated when her relationship had come to an end. With all of her hopes and dreams for the future smashed to smithereens, Jennifer needs some time out to hide from the world and figure out what she is going to do next. She is tired of sympathetic smiles and understanding nods by friends and family and simply wants to wallow in some solitude before figuring out what she is going to be doing next. Pixie Cottage seems to be the refuge which she has been looking for, so she moves in hoping for some peace and quiet. But little does she realize that her life is about to be turned upside down by somebody who is also going through a difficult time at the moment. Could two broken-hearted lost souls come together and find the happiness and contentment that has been missing from their life for so long? Or will fear compel them to continue to be held hostage by the past?

Former soldier turned movie star heartthrob Alex Delgardo is used to hiding behind characters on the silver screen and despite his public persona, hidden under his good looks and charisma lies a man with plenty of secrets in his heart. A man who does not trust easily, Alex has his own reasons for looking for sanctuary and somewhere he can hide from the glare of the paparazzi’s lenses and his adoring fans. When a tragic incident forces him to leave London behind and hide away at Porro Park, he finds himself completely and utterly surprised by the new tenant of the gamekeeper’s cottage, Jennifer Bolitho.

Alex has a lot on his plate caring for his family, but when Jennifer walks into his life, he begins to see a chink of light at the end of the very dark tunnel he has found himself caught up in. As the two begin to spend more and more time together, they find themselves falling in love with one another. Will their fledgling romance manage to heal all the wounds that continue to hold them back? Or will they allow their insecurities and doubts to jeopardise this last chance at happiness?

Beth Good is on top form with her latest novel, All Summer With You. A dazzling and scintillating tale of new beginnings, second chances and healing from the past, All Summer With You is a wonderful read that will make readers laugh out loud and have them reaching for the tissues. Written with sensitivity, compassion and a delightful sense of humour, All Summer With You is a terrific read sure to linger in the reader’s mind long after the last page is turned.

Emotional, uplifting and oh so romantic, Beth Good’s All Summer With You is sure to brighten up your summer – regardless of the weather!

4.5 stars
I enjoyed this book much more than I expected.
New to me author and her books ,I'm so happy that I chose this story that I've read it in one sitting because I was hooked from the first page till the last one.
I liked the characters, because they are flawed, with insecurities and a past that they need to overcome and heal their broken heart to look for a brighter future.
I loved that they are so different but so perfectly matched. The interaction, the banter and many moments are so worth your time to read.
There are things that I may not agree with but let's be honest, nobody it's perfect and the author has created a great story.
I'll be recommending this book to my friends for sure.

The story of Jennifer and Alex, although my favourite character was probably Nana!

This is the second book in the series - if you haven't read the first book then you should, as I think you would see Hannah in a more favourable light!

Jennifer is hiding away after getting her heart broken. Alex is hiding away after being involved in a bomb attack theat hurt him physically and mentally. Can they let the other person in?

I'll admit this hit a sweet spot for me- Cornwall and a romance between two people who are healing. You know up front, don't you, that Jennifer and Alex will find their way to each other but how they get there is what makes the book a good one. This is a gentle tale, with a positive outlook and great characters. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

A perfect summer read: it's an easy and entertaining novel, hilarious at moments and well written.
I loved the cast of characters, both human and animals, and rooted for them. The setting was enchanting and the plot kept me hooked till the last page.
It's a well written book and I look forward to reading other works by this author.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Quercus Books and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This is the first Beth Good book that I have read, I have read her thriller books under the pseudonyms Jane Holland and J. J. Holland. So I was intrigued to see what her romance lit was like; I was so pleasantly surprised! It is so far removed from her psychological thrillers, and the ability to change genre like that is phenomenal! This woman can write!
I loved ‘All Summer With You’, it drags you in right from the start. I mean there is a goat wandering around, what’s not to love! You know Jennifer has a sad past, but when she meets Alex, you know that he has secrets too. Can they drop their barriers long enough to let each other in?
Nelly was such a fantastic character; I wish I had a Nelly in my life! I really enjoyed all the Cornish folklore, I’ve had to look up some of it to see if it was real or made up for this book. It seems to be ‘real’ so not only is the book the perfect escapism book, but it also incorporates some amazing history and mythology of Cornwall in a fun and informative way. I have learnt about something that I didn’t even know existed!
The book is so well written; it has the obligatory ups and downs that you would expect from a romance novel. It has hilarious moments (have I mentioned the goats), and it has a cat!!!
So pleased I gave ‘Beth Good’ a try and certainly adding her to my romance lit list of authors!

All Summer With You, Beth Good

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: romance

Well, I'm a sucker for fame romance trope, so of course this appealed. I loved the setting, the rural retreat, adored Nellie and the goats but the romance angle? Well, it didn't really work for me.
I found it difficult to see that Alex, who valued privacy so much, would really welcome Jennifer in his home even if his reasons were valid. He just doesn't know her, doesn't know what sort of person she is, and given he thought he'd got a male tenant til he met her then clearly there wasn't much in the way of background checks done. So I just couldn't see how he would open himself up to that vulnerability, when the media pays thousands, hundreds of thousands some times, for info on celebrities.
I did like the way his backstory came out slowly, explained his surliness at times, things like that really do affect us, and it had made him look closely at his way of living, and at himself. That's hard in a world where for those who are celebrities everyone around them tells them what they think they want to hear, not what they actually need to hear. His friend Brodie was one of the few who would talk to Alex the man, not Alex the star, and he needed that. I loved the way he was so close to his nan, so worried about her. She was a real character, so close to Alex and his sister.
I enjoyed this story but it felt a little too light and fluffy to be more than a three. I enjoyed the writing style, but though there were some interesting side plots ( the Cornish connection, the folklore, the tarot and witchcraft parts, I just felt it was lacking in a solid story for me. I would try another from Beth, she created some great characters, and hopefully its just this one story that's a good read, a fun beach/holiday read, but not a great one for me

Stars: Three, I enjoyed reading about the characters and their lives, loved the setting, but as a romance it didn't quite work for me. Its anther just a case of its me not the book. Reading tastes are so subjective.
