Kerry returns to her hometown after being transferred and to help her stepfather remodel a hotel and cottages. Her stepbrother, Nick, is killed after being found in bed with a known drug user. Cole is the chief of police and Kerry’s former boyfriend. While investigating Nick’s death, others in their little group start dying too. Can he find the killer before someone else dies?
I know it’s a little short but I didn’t want to give anything away. Great story with action, and secrets. Told in several different points of view. A group of high school friends and their secrets they kept.

I enjoyed this book but did not like some of the characters. Lots of twist and turns in this book. This is an author that I always read

Kerry has returned to Edwards Bay on Puget Sound following her stepbrother’s death. Nick’s death appears at first to be an accident, but when other people, people Kerry knew in school, also turn up dead, it becomes obvious something sinister is at work. Kerry’s childhood crush, Cole Sheffield, is now a cop on the local police force and may be just the one to help Kerry find out what happened to her stepbrother. The Pacific Northwest is always a great setting for murder mysteries, all that gray gloom and rain……

I have read and enjoyed other books by this author. With this title, it was rather obvious what secret the characters' were all hiding. Plus, outside of the two main characters they were rather unpleasant people, and the two main characters really did not get much development. I was hoping for more with why they parted years before.
