It was a quick and enjoyable read, both with a puzzle and a little bit of romance. Story was a little predictable but one that was very much of a page turner. The character of Sukey is starting to become a familiar, as is her son Fergus and Jim the special other.
Good enjoyable book.

Death at Burwell Farm is another case for Sukey. She goes out on simple b and e's and gets drawn in on murder investigations. She has a great knack at reading people and situations. The plots will keep you guessing until the end.

Burwell Farm is a retreat where the stressed go for some peace and tranquillity as they try to relax and 'find' themselves. However, there are secrets hidden there and when two suspicious deaths are linked to the RYCE organisation, which owns and runs the centre, Sukey Reynolds finds herself unable to avoid looking into what goes on behind closed doors.

The main characters in this series are very familiar by now and eminently likeable. The humour and day to day occurrences slip seamlessly in alongside the mayhem of the murders which inevitably occur to provide a cosy, comfy reading experience which is as familiar as the return of a favourite friend. I love this series of books and hope there will be more to come from Sukey, Jim et al before too long.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers in exchange for an unbiased review and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the world of cosy crime or the works of Ms Rowlands; once again neither disappoint.

Great cozy mystery!!

Sukey find herself helping two families when two deaths occur that are linked to a mysterious cult that promises cosmic peace.

When Sukey boyfriend ask her not get involve she can't help herself because she feels something not right with RYCE.

Loved the red herrings because it kept guessing to the end.

Sukey Reynolds finds her work and personal lives coming together when two deaths occur and both deceased are linked to a mysterious cult that promises cosmic peace. Are they merely a coincidence or is there something more to it? Sukey agrees to help the families of both deceased members find out a little more about RYCE.

While Sukey goes against her boyfriend’s mandate that she not get involved, Jim truly does worry about her and shares Sukey’s plan with his superior who agrees with Sukey and sees no harm in it. But Sukey’s intuition is right, yet again, and there is something not quite right about the people at RYCE, but it doesn’t seem sinister to her.

When the leader of RYCE is murdered while Sukey is in a session and being close to the people and place, she is able to help the police dig further into who might be the most likely suspects. But will Sukey figure it out before she is silenced and sent to her own cosmic ending?

Another great entry in the Sukey Reynolds series! The pace is quick and the mysteries are so involved that you might wager a guess at whodunit, but you’re likely not able to figure out why until all is finally revealed. Can’t wait to read the next one in the series!

Another great hit by a great author and a great series. This is book four of the Sukey mysteries, and the series keeps getting better all the time. This one has Sukey going semi undercover at a touchy feely retreat of mysticism and ways to relax and unwind. Naturally, murder makes it more complicated. I had a general idea of who, but the why eluded me for a time, as I had suspicions but not a definite idea. Also, the red herrings were as interesting as the key players. Really a good way to get to know a broader view of the country village. In some ways, reminds me of a Miss Marple type story, as the characters get more than a one dimensional feel to them. Highly recommend this book, series and author, and eagerly await the next in the series.
