This is such a cute story. My son recently turned five and I know he would love this (especially because there are five animals). I can definitely see him stomping and climbing along with the book as we read. The illustrations are vibrant and happy and I would love to see them in print.

This book was adorable. It has pictures with vibrant colors and just the right repetition of words and phrases. But what I really think will stand out is how the story contains actions that both the reader and the listener can do giving everyone involved an enjoyable time and probably some laughter too.

Really cute way to get kids interacting with the book. Not only can they guess what animal is being described, but they can jump, climb, and run along with the kid and animals in the book.

Pros: My son and I had the chance to read this together and it was delightful. We like the illustration and the guessing of the animals. The best part was seeing the interaction between the child and his grandparent. It reminded my son of the times that he spends with his grandpa during the summer. A great read for a child in the later phase of elementary school.

Cons: None! This will be going on my list of recommendations.

This book is absolutely wonderful! The adorable descriptions and pictures of the five African animals would be enough, but this book also showcases a beautiful relationship between a child and his grandfather and inspires activity such as leaping like a lion and running like a buffalo!

The artworks cute and I love the diversity and heritage Danny's grandpa shares with him. Learning of "The Big Five" and a couple facts about each one. Could be a good book for story time, to encourage kids to do movements and guess the animals.
