I LOVED this book. Shepard is a serious genius with weaving together mystery and confusion. The different POV's in this book were so compelling and drew me in. I couldn't stop reading and loved how everything tied together. Her adult debut gets 5 stars from me!

This book started out pretty good, but then got really boring and unrealistic in my opinion. I did love that Taylor Swift's Reputation album song names were the chapters of the book! There were just too many characters and it was really hard keeping them all straight! There were a lot of twists but they were really confusing, because of the fact the storyline was all over the place.

This book held a lot of promise for me and based on the description I thought it would be right up my alley. Unfortunately it read really juvenile and I was unable to force myself to finish it, despite my best efforts. DNF at 35%.

This book was very middle-of-the-road thriller and reminiscent of her Pretty Little Liars series. I wouldn't consider this to be an adult novel. Take out the couple of sexually explicit scenes, and this fits very easily into the young adult genre. Or leave them in and it's new adult. The only thing that I can think of that would make this an adult novel is that the main characters are adults generally. Unfortunately, I think this book really suffered from trying to do too much. I ended up being far more interested in the subplots than you know the hack and MURDER?! Also I firmly believe that she solved the hack as an afterthought when the author realized that she still had that loose end hanging around. Willa felt like a teenager rather than a 30-something year old woman. And as a lover of crime procedurals, I found the ending especially frustrating.

Narrow the scope. Beef up the characters. Make this the YA novel you were writing to begin with.

Ok, I should start by saying that I love Pretty Little Liars, even though I am 35. I guess it's my "guilty pleasure" show. This book was along the same vein of dark, twisty, and scandalous, but amplified! I loved it, and will definitely purchase it for my library.

Thank you to Net Galley for a chance to read and review this ARC.

#FirstLine ~ Maybe you got it at birth.

Shepard tackles very deep and complex issues and does so with respect and honor. There are multi-layer characters and thrills that keep you on the edge of your seat in this fast paced and heart racing book. There is so much depth and intensity that caused me to lose track of time and get lost within the story. Shepard has continued to create stories that allow us to escape from life and get lost in stories that we cannot turn away from or stop reading. Now more than ever these types of intensely written stories help us leave reality and get lost in an amazing books! A must read!

I read a thriller/murder mystery after a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. The story kept opening up like a flower blooming, there were so many layers and so much hidden. The author initially wrote this for TV and I think it will be perfect for a Netflix series.

Sara Shepard never fails to entertain me! Although this wasn't quite what I expected going in it was still such a quick twisty read full of flawed characters with secrets. I would recommend to anyone who enjoyed pretty little liars even though they are very different this story still had that same wondering of who was trust worthy and who was fake and the fast twisting plot line

Having been a fan of Pretty Little Liars and some of Sara Shepard's other books, I was excited to dive into this book. Well...it wasn't what I was expecting. It follows a hack at a university and the fallout that happens from it - and the investigation into a murder that happened on the heels of the hack - that is also tied into the University. To be honest, I felt a little too much was going on with this book. Too many characters and points of views and it really wasn't as page turning as I had hoped it would be. I still love Sara Shepard but this isn't one of her better novels.

When a hacker cracks open a slew of shocking emails at Aldrich University, nobody's secrets are safe. After this breach, Greg Strasser, a prominent local cardiac surgeon with close ties to the campus, is murdered. Just about everyone has a motive, which makes for a wild ride in this clever, scandal-soaked mystery.

If you loved Big Little Lies (and who didn't?) then you'll be excited to hear that this novel gave me similar vibes. The alternating perspectives, the many gasp-worthy curves, the fact that EVERYONE has secrets and seems guilty, and the page-turny pace all combine to make Reputation a worthy readalike for Moriarty fans. Shepard is very good at dropping delicious plot twists all the way through. I had numerous moments of, "Gasp! WHAT? No!" Sure, it all definitely veers into soapy territory because of All That Drama, but boy was it fun.

The term binge-worthy gets tossed around a lot, but Reputation deserves that label. Perfect for reading as fast as you can while imagining who Reese would cast for each role in the miniseries.

Sara Shepard does not disappoint in her newest adult mystery. A great who-dun-it that I didn't want to put down.

Being a member of the Pretty Little Liars generation, I was excited to pick up another book by Sara Shepard. Which is probably why my disappointment with this book was that much harder. This was one book that I just couldn’t fully get behind
It started off pretty well, but the further I got into it the more the story was losing me.

This story had great twists and turns, with a fun creepy vibe that had me guessing until the end. I hate almost all the characters though and their idealized lives were hard to connect with. I am not sure what works they were all living in, but it didn’t feel like mine. Still a fun read that I enjoyed!

This book had the type of plot I love: someone hacks into a university's computer system and puts everyone's personal e-mails on a site where anyone can read them. Hacking plots are so relevant right now, and on top of that, a murder occurs at the same time. It's told from different points of view, so you can see the story from many different sides, but that also made it hard to connect to any one character because the book was constantly switching view points. It was still a fun read though and I am looking forward to see what Sara Shepard does next!

Everyone has secrets to hide..... No one expects them to be found out and especially not by hundreds of thousands of people!

Aldrich University among some Ivy League schools have emails hacked and sent out for all to see. Then crap hits the fan. Someone loses their life.

This book is full of deplorable people. I didn't like ANY of the men. Most of the women aren't much better.

The ending of the book was shocking, I didn't expect THAT person to be the killer.

Excellent, creepy, and compelling- classic Sara Shepard and I'm here for it! I read every Pretty Little Liars book (reread some of them once a year, even) and this did not disappoint one bit; as long as Sara Shepard puts out titles I will read them all.

I loved this book! It definitely felt like a grown-up version of the Pretty Little Liars series. I'm a big fan of Sara Shepard so I couldn't wait to read this. I loved it! From the first chapter, I was so engrossed and just had to keep reading. Lots of twists and turns and I was happy with how everything was wrapped up. Definitely recommended!

The Pretty Little Liars series was great but this book for adults kept me confused with all the characters point of view. The premise of hacking was very intriguing but I got lost early on with the different characters. Will purchase for the library as I’m sure there are fans of hers who will want to read it.
