I read Toxic Desire (book #1 in this series) and enjoyed it more than I expected to (3.5 stars) (read that review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...).
Unfortunately, I have to say Stolen Desire was less my thing. Several points that weren't enjoyable for me were largely personal. The sex in this one wasn't entirely what I tend to like and the fact that Koviye had a few too many 'godly' extra features got a bit over the top for me. Of course, from the synopsis I guess I should have expected that to some extent and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy those things a lot!

The main thing that bothered me that I would say wasn't entirely subjective, was the way the MC (Jenie) acted in a few different situations.
Firstly, because of her half-human, half-alien nature and the consequences it would have for her if she simply acted on her desires, Jenie is in a complex situation where she cannot relieve herself of the cravings she has. The way she emphasises the fact that she wouldn't appreciate being used for sexual relief and then continues to do exactly that to Koviye didn't sit well with me. It's not too prominent in the story, I guess, but she does just use him to get off and then does not return the favour simply because she assumes that he has sex with a lot of other people anyway because of his culture and it's all normal to him. Even if it was normal to him, it's not a very courteous thing to do. If they simply had a conversation about this, stating that that was all they were going to do and both agreeing to it, it would've been perfectly fine.
Secondly, for someone who's rebelling against the Ten Systems and wanting to discover and learn about new species and cultures and explore the universe, she's extremely closed-minded. Jenie seems incredibly stuck in her belief that the TS is the superior society and the only one with non-primitive technology. She's condescending towards Koviye and other alien civilisations, disregarding their defensive strategies and technology even when it's all right in front of her and proving to be fully operational and even accomplishing things she never knew about when she was with the TS.
Lastly, Jenie took the "I cannot believe he loves me" to a whole new level. The cloud they flew through making them confess all their secrets to each other seemed like a very convenient out-of-nowhere plot device to just get everything out on the table and move on, but ,oh well, this is outer space and anything can happen so I'll just overlook that. But even after experiencing it herself, knowing that she couldn't fight it and try not to spill all her secrets, she refused to believe that what Koviye said then was true. Later she saw in his literal dreams what he thought of her, but still rejected any possibility of him having feelings. It passed frustrating for me and went straight into ridiculous.

TL;DR: The main reason for someone to read this story is, of course, the sex and since that wasn't exactly up my alley, I tried to get my enjoyment from the plot and characters, which led to its downfall for me. If I had liked the sex aspect of this story I probably would've overlooked most of my complaints, meaning that for many other people this story could likely be perfectly enjoyable!

This is the 3rd book in the series, and although I enjoyed it, I didn't find it quite as perfectly compelling as the first two. I guess part of it is I felt sort of cheated of Jenie's adventures with her crewmates when they first landed on the planet, and also the work-around of the dream sex rather than actual sex was a little confusing to me. I think the question of how it would feel to fight against fate is an interesting one and I liked the way that it was handled in the book for both Jenie and Koviye.

Sexy alien romance with all gender representation and a kick butt revenge plot. Yes, please.

Stolen Desire is the third book in the series The Planet of Desire, by Robin Lovett. When I started this book I had no idea that it was a series. Thankfully, the book can be read as a stand-alone series without having to read the previous books. Though after finishing this book, I am seriously considering adding the the entire series to my list of books to buy.

Stolen Desire had such a great synopsis and because of that, I had hopes that I would thoroughly enjoy it. Which I did.

The book follows Jenie a rebel Ten Systems soldier and Koviye an alien from the planet Jenie crashlands on. It starts strong and sexy, and action-packed. The author does an amazing job of adding details from the other books, especially back story, which out making the necessary knowledge too much to handle. Creating an entire species backstory and religion while adding other races and military agendas, is no small feat to balance.

This novel is more than just sex it’s two people learning to trust themselves and each other. Their relationship is a very emotional journey that is heartbreaking in a way that we as the reader can see their issues and know that if they just let each other have what they want, they’ll both be happy.

I absolutely love this book and will be waiting not so patiently to read the next one.

I liked this book more than the previous one because the hero is more beta than alpha. He's really respectful and honest towards the heroine so I could see why she felt in love with him and it was more than just sex.
This book is perfect for when you want to read quality erotica, there's a lot of talk about consent and the sexy time were really steamy and hot.
I would like to see more world-building tought, and more action because after so many sex scenes it became repetitive and I was a bit bored.

But overall: female friendly erotica, steamy sex scenes, sassy heroine and a hot and respectful hero.

Sexy alien romances can be hit or miss for me but when I saw this cover on NetGalley I knew I wanted to read it. Throwing caution to the wind, I settled down to sink into what I was sure would be a smutty extravaganza. Lovett certainly didn’t disappoint on the steam factor but I was pleasantly surprised with the excellent world building. I felt like I had a solid understanding of the world/universe even with not reading the first two books. I wish there had been a bit more movement on the rebellion front but when I see the tag for erotica, I know that plot will take the backseat most times. Even without the plot movement, I was definitely there for Koviye.

I try to point out highlights in each of my reviews. This one is tough as I thoroughly enjoyed this book but since I have to pick… the gorgeous descriptions really made this book work. From the environment to the sexy intimate moments, Lovett employs vivid imagery that captured my imagination and made reading Stolen Desire a true pleasure. I will definitely be watching for more of Lovett’s work in the future.

Stolen Desire is book three in the Planet of Desire series by Robin Lovett. This is my very first book by this author. I’ve been wanting to read this series for a long time now. I mean, a Planet of Desire. Who wouldn’t want to know more about that?! This says it can be read as a stand alone and as I said, I’ve not read any other books by this author. But even though all necessary details were provided, I do think I would have been able to jump into this easier if I had read the previous books. I just had to work a little harder with the details but I still really enjoyed this.

Koviye lives on the planet Fellamana. He is one of a free loving species who inhabit this planet. The planet itself exudes some sort of toxin that enters the body and if regular sex isn’t experienced, it will slowly poison you. Koviye is special, though. He possesses the gift of healing touch. He is the only person on the planet with this ability. The species of this planet do not practice monogamy. They do feel great emotions but feel like sex is just part of their daily lives, experienced freely. But then Jenie came into Koviye’s life.

Jenie is part of the rebellion against the Ten Systems Empire, a leader. She is half human and half Ulreya. Jenie’s Ulreya side chooses a mate for life and once her body has chosen that mate, having sex will form the bond. They mate for life. After landing on the planet, something about the toxin has awakened the mate bond in her body and her body has chosen Koviye. Jenie is well aware that he doesn’t believe in one mate. That it’s not in his DNA to be able to be monogamous. So she has to deny the bond. But the longer she is on the planet, the more painful denying what her body wants becomes.

“My very being demands a partner, a lifelong mate. Which would be contrary to every goal I’ve ever had in my life. I am a military woman, a leader in the rebellion against the Ten Systems Empire. I have too many people depending on me. Taking time to indulge my alien sex fantasies isn’t on my to do list.”

When one of Jenie’s partners in the rebellion is in grave danger, she needs to rescue her. Koviye insists on accompanying her on the mission. But being together in a very small spacecraft for an extended period of time might just be too much for them to be able to resist one another.

“He could be my greatest pain. But he’s also been my truest pleasure.”

This was really good. And it’s also hot as heck. I have to say that Koviye’s species is very well equipped for living on such a planet! It’s obvious, though, that there is a greater plan at work here. There is something pulling these two together. They fit together perfectly. But Koviye is needed on his planet due to his special ability and Jenie is needed to continue to work for the rebellion. Plus the fact that Koviye’s race isn’t supposed to be able to fall in love. Is this pair doomed before they even have the chance to be together?

I don’t know if there will be further books in this series or not but I definitely am interested in checking out some of this author’s other work. If you enjoy this genre, I hope you’ll check this series out. Either start at the beginning or jump in like I did. Either way, I hope you enjoy it!

Complete with a zero gravity sex scene, Stolen Desire is a rollicking sexy space adventure for two characters bound by duty but ruled by their bodies, and their hearts.

Half-human and half-Ulreya, rebel Ten Systems' soldier Jenie is bound by her alien side to the mating instincts that have screamed into existence upon crashing on Fyrian but her attraction to Koviye of the Fellamana could spell disaster. He belongs to a polyamorous species, plus he's got a special healing power given through orgasms and touch that his people rely on. He can never commit to one being so having sex with him could lead Jenie to a lifetime of pain and loss if the mating bond is one sided.. But that doesn't mean she can't enjoy some sexual satisfaction in her dreams, and in other non-penetrative ways.

But they've also got to track a missing friend of Jenie's and figure out a way to keep the rest of the Ten Systems fleet from bearing down on Fyrian to find their missing ship. Forced to work together to prevent disaster for both their peoples, will their overwhelming desire for each other spell disaster or lead to new discoveries?

I've been enjoying this series from the start and once again the author delivers a wholly erotically charged, exciting and intriguing story. Since actually having intercourse is a problem, Jenie and Koviye find some interesting ways to get their satisfaction from each other and in doing so, develop an emotional bond that isn't so easily dismissed when the time comes to part ways. There's a lot of action too, and a good amount of interesting worldbuilding in the series as a whole. While this one is easily read as a standalone story, it does build on plot points in the previous books. The technological advances of the Fellamana aid Jenie in her quest to keep the Ten Systems fleet from finding the rebels and make Jenie and Koviye face some challenging truths. Getting to their happy ending doesn't come easy, but it does involve a lot of coming, LOL. This is a great escape read.

Another fun alien sex romp. The Alien is blue the sex is exhilarating and 100% consensual. There is even dream sex! I suggest reading the others in the series as well because they make appearances here as well.

This story was hot, I could have used a bit more plot or outside story, there was a lot of concentration on their attraction to one another, which is great but it becomes repetitious after a while.
