This was an ok read for me. I could tell where the plot was headed before it even hit the 20% mark, so a lot of the curiosity went away. I was just waiting for it to happen, and when it did, it sort of fell short. I really loved the concept of the book though. Sophia wanted out of an arranged marriage so she did a lot of funny things that would make Dion want to end it. The taxidermy stuff was funny! I applaud Dion for being so kind while she was purposefully embarrassing him in public, but he might have been a little too nice.

This was my first read from Stefanie London and I am impressed with the story line and all the emotions I went through while reading.

Sophia reluctantly agrees to an arranged marriage to protect her mother. But she has her own plan. Dion wants to buy Sophia's fathers company for personal reasons and if that means a bride being in deal then who is he to say no. He wants the company more than anything else. Both of them had their own agenda in mind, but would they go through with it is the question.

Once the two meet and greet, Sophia does everything she can to get Dion to cave on the arranged marriage agreement, including introducing the idea of a life of taxidermy. For his part, Dion begins to see through Sofia’s plan early on. The lightheartedness of the first half of the book helped ease me into the whole “business” end of the agreement.

What I loved most was the lack of bullshit once they both understood the other’s side. Once they were called on their manipulations, both characters were completely honest with the other and worked together to get what they wanted. As a result, there’s a refreshing lack of soap opera drama and we’re left with two fabulous characters in their own right, getting to know each other and falling in love.

I really enjoyed this book. I was chuckling and smiling the whole time I was reading it. The antics that Sophia pulled to convince Dion he did not want to go through with the arranged marriage were hilarious. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an entertaining contemporary romance that’s fast-paced, warm-hearted, and fun.

Unfortunately this was a DNF for me. I really wanted to like it - the blurb sounded so cute and I enjoyed the zaniness (and potential for more). Unfortunately I couldn't get into the characters.

This book was super cute!
I loved having both sides of the story.
It had a great twist to the story that left me wanting to keep reading more to find out what happened next.

It was really cool seeing a woman take charge of her life and know what she wants and deserves.
I also really liked how there was no power playing by Dion. That he accepted and admired Sophia for being the amazing person she is.

this series is just purely perfect category tropeness, how to lose a fiancé takes on the trying to sabotage an arranged marriage and oops finding out the guy is actually the hero of your dreams trope and does an incredible job of it. dion and sophia are a perfect match, even when they are doing their best to fight it.

it's old school harlequin at it's finest, but somehow still feels fresh and is light and frothy with just the right amount of emotional depth to make you feel fully invested in these characters.

Stefanie London produces a wonderfully fun, sexy and witty romance.

Dion Kourakis has built a billion dollar Investment Empire with his only friend by his side and the help and support his ailing mentor. He needs nothing except a bit of revenge and in order to get it he requires acquiring a company that comes with a bride for him. Getting married and falling in love was never in his life plan, and now he’ll have to resist his future wife’s beauty and quirky personality. So as to not look focus of his objective.

Sophia Andreou has always put her family first. Pleasing her father comes as second nature, but not when he’s ordering her to marry a stranger on the other side of the planet in order to save his company from ruin. But being treated like cattle is something she won’t allow and has now devised a plan to make her fiancé not want her. But can she really hide behind the clown pants and taxidermy hobby from her future husband’s sharp eyes.

In this charming arranged romance we get to know Sophia who is tired of keeping up the appearance of good daughter in a perfect family wanting nothing more than a simple life away from her tyrannical father but in order to do so she’ll have to compromise and marry the handsome Dion. But not before trying to appear as the least appealing wife material in the world, giving the reader some very comical moments.

The more we learn about Dion though, the more Sophia and the reader realizes he’s a good man trying to overcome a difficult past. The story unfolds in a dual point of view presentation and I enjoyed experiencing how the fall for each other no matter how much they resist it.

This is a lovely romance with enough sexiness and a humor to keep things fun and enjoyable.

How to Lose a Fiancé is a standalone contemporary romance by Stefanie London. Told from various points of view with a happy ending.

Highly entertaining, laugh out loud, emotionally thrilling and engagingly charming romantic journey filled with family, loyalty, love and laughter... was a great read from beginning to end. I really loved all the witty banter, sizzling chemistry and exciting twists that happen between these two on this crazy fun adventure.

What a fun, quirky book. I love Sophia's strategy for convincing Dion she's not a good choice for a wife. I love Dion's generous nature in dealing with her quirkiness even more.

Both Dion and Sophia are damaged which easily explains the fact that they both accept the crazy (by today's standards, maybe not so much a century ago) business deal that requires the two to marry. Sophia's father brokered the deal as part of Dion's purchase of his company which sadly isn't really surprising. Dion doesn't have time for love but a beautiful, smart wife can't hurt, right?

Sophia's devotion to her mother has her hoping to provide a good home for them both with the money she's earning on the side. Just as soon as she can covertly convince Dion to not marry her.

I enjoyed watching these two fall for each other. Their interactions were fun to watch. Their motivations and damage were interesting to learn. London delivers another sexy, sweet read.

Betrothed Unexpected....

My weaknesses, Alpha male with a heart (have to dig deep for it) sexy, hot and oh yes a Billionaire. Dion Kourakis fills my checklist to a "T". He is someone I would work very hard to unravel his many layers to see how he ticks. Dion had a rough upbringingwith a lack of emotional bond with anyone. You can understand the way he runs his business and personal life, very surface and impersonal. He does not want to be burned again.

Sophia Andreou does not ask for much in life. She just wants to be able to make her own decisions and not have them made for her. It's impossible for that to happen when you have a smothering father who has her on a short leash. Dion and Sophia are pairedtogether by business and family and they could not be more opposite in personalities. It was a delight to watch them interact together. Their chemistry was one they could not deny. Once they got to know one another better the pull between them could notbe restrained. Their story was a joy to read as they both discover they are not all that different after all.

Sophia Andreou has always been a dutiful daughter, following the rules of her dominating father. She is secretly planning her escape, longing for a simple life in a small cottage, far away from Brooklyn and the machinations of her father. Her weak link is her mother, who is emotionally weak and subjected to her husband’s tyranny. When Sophia’s father concocts a scheme to sell his company and marry her off to the billionaire who is purchasing the company, she can’t refuse or her mother will suffer. What she does is devise a scheme so her intended fiancé will refuse to marry her.

Dion Kourakis was born from an unwed mother, rejected by his father, and raised in an orphanage. Feeling unwanted and unloved, he worked hard and amassed a fortune and has turned his back on love and marriage. He accepted this marriage because it was a condition for the purchase and he has a revenge plan related to this purchase. Even so, he is a kind man and he went to pick up his soon-to-be fiancé at the airport and got the surprise of his life.

Sophia’s plan is to turn into an outlandish, clownish and extremely eccentric woman, with a penchant for taxidermy. Their initial days together were hilarious and poor Dion didn’t know what hit him. Even so, he saw glimpses of the woman behind the disguise, and he was intrigued by her. Eventually, the story morphs from a humorous romance into a regular romance with its angsty and sexy times.

This was a sweet and simple romantic story, cute because of Sophia’s antics, angsty because of her loneliness which echoed with Dion’s loneliness too. It was a very enjoyable read, and I especially enjoyed Baroness Sasha Foxington III!

I fell in love with this author's voice and style years ago when I read her Behind The Bar series and my love is still going strong!

I loved this story from beginning to end. It was refreshing and heartwarming and humorous and just plain easy. Sophia’s father has arranged for her marriage and she’s not too happy about it. So she sets out to hopefully sabotage the whole thing with shenanigans running amok! Dion doesn’t fool easily and before you know it, they’ve struck their own deal of convenience! Let the games begin …

As they both get to know each other and their friendship forges and their attraction sparks, their entire plan starts to fall apart because …. *happy sigh*

Feelgood, heartwarming, captivating and entertaining! Total hit for me!

Stefanie London, a new-to-me author, writes about one of my favourite tropes in How to Lose a Fiancé and I was so intrigued and completely interested after reading the blurb. Plus, it had Greek's, which also happens to one of my favourite cultures to read about so I HAD to pick this book up!

Unfortunately, I found this book to be boring and I actually resorted to flipping pages after the 60% mark. Personally, the writing felt bland, the characters not interesting enough and the spark between the two leads was lacking. I struggled to finish this book because the story itself couldn't hold my interest for more than a few seconds.

Sophia, the female lead, started out good and with quite the potential and I understood where she was coming from but from the moment she landed in Greece I honestly found her to be quite childish. For someone like Sophia, who is not only well versed and know how things works but also has her own business, there was a certain kind of finesse I was expecting when it came to the execution of her plan. It was literally her blurting and acting on the first thing that she could think of.

Dion, the male lead, is described as someone who is powerful and at the top of the business world but for someone with an agenda, he seemed a little too laid back. For me, especially when it comes to alpha characters there is being relaxed and there is being relaxed, he was a little too much of the latter.

Sophia's parents were absolutely useless, especially the mother who was the definition of a doormat until the epilogue rolled around.

Sophia on multiple occasions claimed that she would never be like her parents but I couldn't help but note a few similarities in her behaviour, even though were not to that extent, were a reflection of those of her parents.

Moreover, this story is written in third person point of view and in my personal opinion it really didn't help the telling of the story.

Overall, How to Lose a Fiancé is a quick and easy read but one that was not for me.

2.5 Stars!

This book was a lot of fun. Sophie has been a pawn in her father's scheme to somehow keep a part of his business when he sells it to Dion by making her a "bride" as part of the terms of sale. Dion has no problem with that since he is never going to marry for love and has done his homework and Sophie appears to be exactly what he needs as the perfect "wife" to show the world as he does business. She is beautiful and can will fit in with his many functions. He is in for a rude awakening when he meets her at the airport and Sophie the misfit walks up to him and he takes her for a homeless person. Oh, let the fun begin. These two circle each other and when Sophie brings in Sasha, the fox, all bets are off. Who will win this test of wills? These two are so much alike and neither wants to be a pawn but neither wants to be lose so who will win? Could it be they both will in the end? Definitely a winner and a must read!

Stefanie London has a way of bringing her stories to life and boy does she take us to a whirlwind of love. We have Dion who feels love is for the weak and doesn't believe in it. Then Sophia who in some ways needs to grow up and well in this book she shows her true colors. The chemistry is all there but man Stefanie London has a way of making them see love can be fun and exciting in many ways. If you want to explore different places and see love grow Stefanie London is your girl loved it.

How to Lose A Fiancé by Stefanie London was a fun and charming read. An arranged marriage nobody wants, that is until they meet, then all bets are off. Sophia has always done what was expected of her, the good daughter. But when her overbearing father demands she marry for convenience, she is done. She has a plan to ditch said fiancé. I loved when Sophia was just herself. She was quirky and fun.

Dion worked hard to be where he is today. He was driven and determined but could still be caring and kind. He saw right through Sophia’s plans and even though he was also against the marriage, once he meets her he is drawn to her. I loved their witty interactions. How to Lose a Fiancé by Stefanie London was fun and steamy read.

Happy reading!

4 1/2 STARS!

Quickly addictive and absolutely delightful! With the second book in her Greek Billionaires series, Stefanie London brings new meaning to laugh out loud funny! With a quirky addition to her heroine's repertoire that reader's won't soon forget, she delights our imagination and tickles our funny bone time and again. I loved that it had so much humor woven in, yet was also very spot on in delivering a sensitive side to each of the main characters that drew us into their story. Lots of fun to read with a satisfying ending!

Sophia Andreou can't believe what her domineering father is stooping to this time. She has put up with many of his schemes in her day in order to keep peace in the household, but this time he's sunk to an all time low. He expects her to marry a total stranger to get his flailing business and debts taken care of. So what if he's a gorgeous Greek billionaire ... she'll figure out a way to get rid of him!

Dion Kourakis isn't interested in marrying anymore than she is, but he is interested in obtaining that company ... if marriage is the only way to do it, he'll make do. Once he meets Sophia and all of her quirky ways, he realizes he's in for the ride of his life!

An Arranged Marriage!

Sophia has always been the good daughter, doing whatever her controlling father has asked, partially because fighting him is not productive, and partially because her mother is a complete doormat, unwilling to do anything except exactly what her husband demands. Now, he is selling his business to Dion and part of the bargain is Dion must marry Sophia. But she doesn’t understand his motivation, nor is she will to go along as the dutiful daughter/fiancé. But she had to find a way that Dion would back out of the deal! Her plan is hilarious and Dion continues to be the gentleman while she does everything she can to make him change his mind. When he catches on to her plan, they then have an attraction they have to navigate in their arrangement.

I really loved Sophia and her “I’m going to F with Daddy’s plan”. I loved watching the couple fall for each other, and I enjoyed how Dion reacted to Sophia’s antics (especially Baroness Sasha Foxington the III) and how BSF popped up as a shared joke throughout the book.

Sophia and Dion’s unexpected love story in How to Lose a Fiance’ by Stefanie London, was an emotional and wonderful story of two people never planning to marry who needed to be honest, understanding, and communicate true expectations. Sophia tried to be the good daughter to please her domineering and controlling Greek father. This time, he had gone too far; forcing her to marry a Greek billionaire who can save the crumbling family company. Sophia wondered what would happen if she became a deconstructed Cindrella? Instead of dressing up to win the prince, she could dress gaudy and obnoxiously in order to get hers to reject her as his bride. Dion is no longer the scared, skinny orphan with only a single friend. Today he runs a billion-dollar investment company and is respected by everyone who meets him. On the surface, his charm hides many of his emotional scars, including his abandonment. Dion is not interested in having a bride as part of a business deal, so he plans on letting the gal down, gently, when they meet. However, his future bride is truly nothing like he thought she’d be; quirky and wearing strange outfits. Dion is smart enough to see past her surface to figure out her game. The harder she works to convince him that she is not wife material, the more he wants her to believe that they would be perfect together.

I loved the humor and creativeness Sophia and Dion use while trying to convince each other of their beliefs. Sophia’s use of Goodwill-type clothes to disguise her true beauty had Dion seeing through the covering to the rebellious actions. The use of the taxidermy animals was pure genius. I loved the fox, Baroness Sasha, and the various locations she was placed by either Sophia or Dion. These two strong and determined characters perfectly fit each other and their strengths enabling the other to become stronger.

Ms. London wrote a wonderful, sexy and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Sophia and Dion a chance at love, happiness, and a future neither expected. I highly recommend How to Lose a Fiance’ to other readers.
