Dion is my type of male lead--the difficult upbringing, the self-made successful man, and he's nice?! I understand why Sophia does what she does, but I would have caved right off the bat. Haha. Dion's reasons for wanting Sophia's family's business really hit me in the feels. Stefanie London does a great job delivering a story that makes you feel all the emotions. I was invested in the characters, and laughing my butt off at the ideas Sophia came up with. Seriously, I had to stop reading during their first meeting, I was laughing that hard. I had too much fun with this book, and I'll definitely be rereading it! Thank you to Entangled and Social Butterfly PR for the eARC in exchange for an honest review! |

This was an entertaining, quick, fun read. It is nicely done with interesting well developed characters, a touch of humor, a smidge of sass, and a fun quickly developing storyline. While slightly predictable these characters brought a fresh feel to the story. Sophia doesn't seem the type to go along with an arranged relationship but she played the part well. Mostly! Dion wants nothing to do with this plan until he meets Sophia and sees the depths she will go to in order to chase him off. Watching her antics are completely entertaining and Dion finds himself wrapped up in her shenanigans. Her spirit and determination win his heart and then he's determined to win hers. Don't miss their story, I highly recommend this entertaining read. |

Very interesting story of a twist on a prearranged marriage. Sophia and Dion each had me liking them and wanting the be on their side, which were a lot of time opposing. Sophia has endured life in a controlling household with a father more interested in controlling than loving. Dion has vowed to never let love control him. I loved these two together. Dion tries to be cold, alloof and greedy, yet Sophia not only sees something more in him but brings it out. Greatly enjoyed this book. |
3.5 stars Sophia's father is controlling and demands she marry Dion as part of a business deal to purchase a company. Dion has his own reasons for agreeing to the marriage stipulation from Sophia's father. Sophia is determined to end the relationship before they get married and all of her antics cracked me up in the beginning. It was equally amusing to see how well Dion was able to smooth things over and his reactions to her clothes and supposed hobbies. I thought the author did a nice job building their antagonistic relationship into tentative friendship and then more. It didn't feel forced or too sudden, especially as they start to get to know the real Sophia and Dion. |
Holy anti-commitment Greek lonely billionaires, Batman! Ms. London has done it again. I freaking love this book, it was fun, sweet and had it some sexiness to it. I adored Beauty and the Greek Billionaire and I was hoping Nico’s business partner would get his own story, and How to Lose a Fiancé totally did it justice. Dion has been set on the path of revenge for as long as he can remember. Now with victory on the tip of his fingers he will do anything to achieve it, even if that means marrying some girl he’s never met. Sophia is done being under the thumb of her dictatorial father, but she can’t see a way out of the latest mess he’s driven into without putting her mother’s health at risk. Marry some Greek suit who’s exactly like daddy dearest? Not a chance. She’ll do anything in her power to make Dion curse the day he accepted her hand in marriage as part of a business deal. Armed with a plan and the conviction to see it through, she sets on driving Dion crazy enough to renege on the deal. She just hadn’t anticipated the sexy Greek guy to out matching her in all her ploys. Watching Dion and Sophia butt heads was hilarious. She came up with the most outrageous schemes only to have Dion take them in stride. I absolutely loved their chemistry and dynamics and how they were exactly what the other one needed to grow as a person. I wish we’d gotten to see a bit more of Marianna and Nico and their growing family and that the epilogue was a bit more centered in Sophia and Dion’s HEA, but this camper was really happy with what she got. Funny, with some angst, lots of feelings and really hot chemistry How to Lose a Fiancé was a fabulous read that had me enchanted from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what Ms. London will have for us next! |
Received an ARC for an honest review. This was too cute for words. When Sophia is married off to a man she's never met as part of her father's business deal, she's horrified. Having always been under her father's thumb, she knows the only way to get out of this is have Dion call off the engagement. What comes next is a funny series events that involve terrible fashion choices and taxidermy. But when she finally puts aside the pretense, these two start to realize that they might be compatible after all. I liked the slow burn of this book. It definitely built the anticipation taking them so long to get together, but it was worth the wait. While Dion had a lot to overcome with his past and feelings of being unwanted and Sophia was still working on becoming her own person, these two made sense together. They had a lot of bumps along the way, but each one brought them closer together. I was so glad that they were paired up...even if it was because of a terrible ploy by her awful father. A great read by London! |
What do you do when your father has committed you to an arranged marriage that you don't want to enter into? Well, you try to lose the guy as fast as you can when you meet him! This book definitely had lots of laughs as Sophia finds herself in Greece ready to meet the guy her father arranged for her to marry in order to save the family business. Sophia was full of spunk and knew exactly what she was doing... until she didn't. The thing was that she never thought she would actually fall for the handsome Greek Business Man who was trying to make this whole "transaction" as seemly smooth as possible. Dion had his reasonings for going through with the marriage. And as the two find out there they are more alike than different, lines start to blurb and plans for sabotage start to break apart. It was a cute, quick read and I loved how to two finally found the place in their worlds and with each other. |
A wonderful tale of a woman finally standing up for herself after her father barters her hand in marriage. The lengths she goes to in order to thwart her betrothed will keep you laughing and wondering what she could possibly come up with next. All the while, you feel for Dion, whose life is in distress and he's willing to put up with anything Sophia throws at him, in order to make the deal. A delightful comedy with enough drama to keep you grounded! |
Smart, seductive, and entertaining! How to Lose a Fiancé is a hilarious, quick, steamy tale that takes us into the life of the stubborn, creative, Sophia Andreous as she endeavours to do whatever it takes to have the sexy, hardworking, billionaire Dion revoke the business deal that includes their arranged marriage. The writing is whimsical and light. The characters are quirky, supportive, and passionate. And the plot is a laugh-out-loud funny blend of familial obligation, life, love, friendship, introspection, romance, awkward moments, embarrassing situations, and outrageous hijinks. Overall, How to Lose a Fiancé is another sassy, sensual, amusing novel by London that has all the characteristics of a fantastic romcom, including adorable characters, a witty storyline, and the requisite swoon-worthy, happy-ever-after ending. Thank you to Stefanie London and Entangled Publishing for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review. |

4.5 This was my first Stefanie London romance and it was a great intro into her work. I love modern day arranged marriage tropes. Dion and Sophia are thrown together because of Sophia’s father and his manipulative antics. Both Dion and Sophia have their reasons not to break off the engagement themselves but Sophie is done with being a pawn in her fathers schemes. And the last thing she wants is to marry a stranger who would agree to marrying her just for a business deal. In fear for her mother’s fragile health and not used to taking any kind of stance for herself she has to come up with a plan to get rid of the stranger who is her fiancé and make it look like it was all his idea. Dion is likewise unhappy with having a fiancé thrown his way but he’s determined to get the company Sophia’s father is selling and she just happens to be attached to the sale. But the girl he picks up from the airport is not anything like the put-together business woman he was expecting. From her crazy outfits to her taxidermy hobby she’s a surprise at every turn. Definitely not someone who would help his image. But it’s not long until he starts to see the real person underneath the mask she put on and it’s someone who he can admire. This was so fun. I wish the antics and engagement part of the book lasted past the 50% mark because once they stopped the rom-com aspect kind of faded away. But I also enjoyed the more serious and sexy second half of the book. Just wish the humor stayed as well. |

Sophie has spent a lifetime trying to avoid her father’s wrath both for her and her mother’s sake. When she is called into his office, she didn’t expect to told that her father was selling his company to Dion, a Greek billionaire, and that her being his wife was part of the purchase. She believes the best way out of the situation is by proving herself unworthy to her new fiancée and having him end the arrangement. Dion has a painful past and he is determined to purchase the company for his own reasons even if he needs to marry Sophie to accomplish that. When she came to visit him, he was expecting the perfect corporate wife but instead he got a flamboyant unconventional woman who certainly added some humor to his life. He soon realizes what her plan is and that is when the fun really begins but their journey wasn’t without its turmoil along the way. |
I really enjoyed this book. I was chuckling and smiling the whole time I was reading it. The antics that Sophia pulled to convince Dion he did not want to go through with the arranged marriage were hilarious. The clown pants were a hoot but what killed me was the taxidermy namely Baroness Sasha Foxington III. Even with the crazy clothes that Sophia wore there was just something about her that drew Dion to her. He couldn’t figure it out because the kind of woman she was portraying was definitely not someone he would want to be with. Once he figured it out and Sophia was able to be herself they both had trouble fighting their attraction to each other even though neither of them wanted the arranged marriage. They spent a week in Paris to see if Dion could convince Sophia to go along with the arranged marriage and she was able to offer up “demands” that she wanted were she to go along with it. I loved that BSF became an inside private joke for them and that she popped up throughout. It showed that Dion and Sophia were connecting in more than a physical way. Of course not everything is easy and when Dion had to deal with the death of someone close to him he pushed Sophia away in the process. Luckily Dion comes to the realization that he did in fact fall in love with Sophia and needed to fix what he ruined between them. I loved these two together from the beginning. There was just something about the chemistry between them that worked even when they didn’t want to work. |
I don’t recall reading any other books by this author but I was pleasantly surprised. The plot was a bit different from many I have read lately. It is an arranged marriage, but was so much more interesting that just that premise. Sophia, and Dion, both Greek, were both manipulated by feeling of lack of control in their life. They neither trusted or wanted this relationship and that is the best kind of romance. The need to learn each other, to grow into the persons they needed to be in order to actually have a relationship. I thoroughly enjoyed this read, and will read more of her work. |
A Greek billionaire meets his match in How to Lose a Fiancé. I’m generally not one for billionaire romances, but how could I resist one where the heroine pulls a reverse Ugly Duckling and is armed with a taxidermy fox? Author Stefanie London does a good job of mixing humor and heart in this story. All her life, Sophia Andreou has worked to keep her father happy. She’s so close to getting her freedom when the man pulls the rug out from under her and says he’s arranged a marriage for Sophia. Marriage to a Greek billionaire may sound like a dream to some, but Sophia has no desire to be controlled by anyone ever again. She can’t refuse for fear of what might happen to her mother, so she’s determined to drive Dion Kourakis away with eccentric outfits and a few unique interests (see aforementioned fox). Sophia is a kind, likeable heroine who’s been put in a hard spot and won’t let herself be walked over. I liked her spirit and found her easy to root for. As for Dion, the man has a great deal of patience. He has a heartbreaking past that drives his present and really made me feel for him. I enjoyed watching him roll with the punches and handle whatever Sophia threw at him. I won’t spoil his reasons for agreeing to the arranged marriage in the first place, but suffice it to say they make sense for his character. Dion is pretty much perfect book boyfriend material, so I was eager to see he and Sophia fall in love once he got to see the real her. The two of them are well-suited and there isn’t any false drama, which I greatly appreciated. How to Lose a Fiancé is the second book in Ms. London’s Greek Billionaires series, but it can easily be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Sophia and Dion together, but I will admit I didn’t find them or their romance very memorable, which is a bit of a downside for me. Baroness Sasha Foxington III was definitely the breakout star of this book, a fairly impressive feat considering she’s stuffed. But even with this quibble, I still recommend How to Lose a Fiancé to anyone looking for an entertaining contemporary romance that’s fast-paced, warm-hearted, and fun. |

How to Lose a Fiancé is fan-freaking-tastic!! More of what we LOVE from Stefanie London books: emotion, romance, drama and flawed characters that you can’t help but root for a happy ending!! Stefanie London is one of my favourite authors and she always has me coming back for more. Always guarantee a fantastic story with characters you can’t help falling in love with. Happy reading everyone!! |
I enjoyed Sophia and Dion's story. Sophia was creative in the ways she tried to get Dion to back out of their arranged marriage. While she was doing that, she lacked an important piece of information...why Dion was willing to agree to the marriage in the first place. Neither character had an easy childhood, but for very different reasons. When they finally got together and opened their hearts, they had a fantastic relationship. This book was a fun, easy read and I enjoyed it. |

Sophia always tried to be the good daughter until her father arranged her marriage to a man she knew nothing about! The more she tried to portray herself as being the wrong woman for Dion, the more he saw her as the perfect wife. This story will captivate and have you smiling as Sophia makes her case for not wanting to marry but in the end, will Dion worm his way into her heart? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review. |
How to Lose a Fiancé by Stefanie London is the story of Dion Kourakis and Sophia Andreou. Sophia has tried to fit in and lay low without rocking the boat but at the same time work away from her father's overbearing attitude. But now he is demanding that she go into a business marriage with Dion. Dion was once a orphan who pulled himself out of that life to become a successful billionaire. Dion who mentor Elias has a terminal illness which makes him want to do one last thing to seal his gratefulness and growth by buying Cyrus Andreou business even if it means marrying someone he doesn't know. But Sophia goes into full crazy mode to give off the impression that she would not be a good wife and Dion starts to see into her scheme to back him away. They end up hitting common ground until someone else enters into the arena. Loved their story and will be looking for more books from this author for sure! |

Ummm....a Greek billionaire? Yes please!!! I was hooked on How to Lose a Fiancé as soon as I read the blurb and thankfully the entire novel did not disappoint. I loved how tough Sophia was throughout the novel. It's refreshing to see a woman have a backbone these days! And Dion....oh Dion! I adored him! I enjoyed witnessing these two move from a marriage in name only to a real marriage! Their journey to falling in love wasn't easy, but it was definitely worth it in the end. Sophia and Dion are powerful together and I loved how overcame many obstacles together. And snaps for Sophia for finally standing up to her father!!! YAS honey!!! If you are looking for a sweet read this summer, this is the book for you! Thank you Entangled and NetGalley for the ARC copy of How to Lose a Fiancé. |
For the first time Sophia is rebelling. Dion is shocked when he meets her. This sets the stage for a hilarious battle of wills that takes place in the first half of the story. Both characters are hurting and need to first take a step back to discover the good things about each other. This is a beautifully written story of love and redemption. Dion and Sophia make a fairytale couple with a story book ending. |
