I really enjoyed this fun, semi-hate to love romance. Sophia was the type of character I can get behind. At the start of the book she plays the good daughter, but as it progresses she grows stronger and more confident. I liked her quirky ways of keeping Greek billionaire Dion away and uninterested. The romance between the two seemed to happen naturally. It didn't feel forced which was a breath of fresh air. I called it a semi-hate to love romance, because they don't actually hate each other, its more that they don't know each other and dislike the reason behind their arranged marriage.

The was a fun, quick and steamy read. If that's your cup of tea then this book is for you.

Sophia is tired of being told how to live her life by her overbearing, overprotecting father. When he calls her into his office to let her know she will be sent to Greece to marry a stranger she has had enough. She doesn’t care that Dion’s acquisition of her father’s company will save their family, according to her father. She only wants her freedom. After thinking things through she decides to be the worst possible fiancé any one man could ever imagine. That way he’d be forced to send her home and she’d be free to follow her dreams.

Dion can’t believe he agreed to marry the daughter of the man in charge of the company he wants to acquire. His bastard of a biological fathers old company, but no one will know that little tidbit of information. He looked Sophia up online and she seemed to fit into the stereotypical corporate wife he needs. Too bad the walking disaster that heads over to him in the airport is not quite what he was expecting.

Part of Sophia’s plan involves dressing as wildly as she can without trying to look like she has gone off the deep end. The itchy woolen sweater she chose to change into when they landed only adds to the hideousness of it all. The look on Dion’s face is worth the itching. Now to fully put her plan into action, she must find a taxidermy fox.

Dion has no idea what to do with this hideous fox that has somehow made its way into his home. Soon hatching a plot with the fox we first encountered in book 1 How to win a fiance. He soon figures out what Sophia is actually up to and together they agree to find a common ground and go ahead with the wedding. Theirs could be a good friendship opportunity for each other, each getting what they desire in life.

Dion and Sophia have pasts and families that don’t lend themselves to Hallmark Movie Channel heart touching sentiment. Dion loses the one father figure he has, and Sophia’s actual father is lacking in just about every redeeming quality. They work through it together and make their own family ties. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance reader copy without expectations. 4 ½ stars for this newest release from Ms. London.

Taxidermy, Wacky Clothes & Bad Hair Can’t Derail this Engagement.
Sophia has grown up with a bullying father and thinks nothing he can do will surprise her but she is horrified when she discovers he is marrying her off to a stranger, as part of a business deal. If it weren’t for the fact that her mother would suffer, she would just refuse but her father knows her weakness is her mother’s welfare. Instead she decides to do everything possible to make her prospective groom reject her. This is the fun part of the book, later followed by darker life events. Set on the beautiful island of Corfu, I felt disappointed that there was so little description of the place. Even on Sophia and Dion’s trip to Paris, the city itself was glossed over. I liked the characters but I wasn’t moved by their emotions. An easy beach read for the summer.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

How to Lose a Fiance is a contemporary romance about a forced marriage. It's well written, it has a dual POV, very creative with the characters and a great plot.
The correct greek phrases were much appreciated. It's a fun read with a few emotional parts, a couple steamy scenes but mostly hilarious moments. It's definitely
a page-turner with its captivating storyline and the whimsical characters. My favorite parts were the scary moments with Sasha. I loved every minute of reading it and I will rate it with 4.8 stars.

An enjoyable read. While not listed on Goodreads as part of a series, this books does sit alongside author, Stefanie London's prior book How to Win a Fiancee due to the friendship between the heroes of both books.
I swear I spent the first half of the book resenting Sophia's deliberate actions to try and scare off hero Dion. However, with time and context as explained via descriptions of her father throughout the story, I decided that her actions were understandable, even if I didn't agree with them.
The entire story was built around Dion's need to have/own the company that Sophia's father. I feel like there was no true resolution to this part of the story. Given Sophia's motivations for not wanting to return to her parents' home, the epilogue was a little bittersweet to read.
I'm in two minds about whether I want to see a story for secondary character Theo Anastas too.
I love the way the story proves those who have grown up in an orphanage with no family can have a happy ever after too.

Reminded me so much of a traditional HQ romance... 3.5 stars
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because I am a romance addict I’ve read hundreds of millionaire/billionaire stories. I enjoy them I admit. Every woman wants to be spoiled and fall for a hot guy who can afford to spoil us. This book is exactly that. It reminded me so much of a traditional Harlequin romance though. Several areas I found humorous. Are there really women who are that docile and refuse to stick up for themselves? I have a hard time with that.
Regardless, Sophia managed to deal with being a pawn in her fathers twisted mind in a humorous way. I love the eccentricity and confusion she must’ve brought her intended. HA. But then Dion and Sophia discovered what each other is all about and a deal was made.
I just love the way their love finally bloomed. Once the walls finally went down and they realized there was something there, this became something lovely to read. Not your typical millionaire/billionaire romance, but yet it has familiar strains of tradition.
A pleasure to read in all aspects. Rich, sexy, and fun.
This was my first book from this author and I really enjoyed. This book was written so well it just flowed. Before I knew it I was finished. The characters had great chemistry, I needed a cold drink after.
This was a super quick and fun read. Predictable in the best ways with two entertaining main characters, decent backstory and subplots, and a dash of saucy. However, while I'm glad these are always a quick read, I always find myself wanting more detail and depth. Just an extra few chapters to build out more.
This book was definitely packed with surprises and had me up in my emotions towards the end! A story about taking power and making life yours! It’s also a story that shows that love brings power and doesn’t make you vulnerable, and that family is more than blood!
I absolutely loved Dion and the fact that he had a good heart and a kind soul! It took me longer to warm up to Sophia but when she let her guard down and started finding her voice I couldn’t help but love her!
Sophia tries to get Dion to cancel the wedding and fails!
Sophia Andreou is perfectly happy with her virtual assistant business but she wants to get her mother away from her father because of the way he treats both of them. Sophia’s father is trying to sell his company but he’s trying to still claim the business after selling by making the buyer marry Sophia but she doesn’t want to marry Greek billionaire Dion Kourakis. Sophia figured out that if Dion backed out of the marriage she would be able to make a new life. Little did she know that the business her father was trying to sell was founded by Dion’s father who never acknowledged him.
I enjoyed reading How to Lose a Fiancé because it follows How to Win a Fiancé which covers Dion’s business partner and his story. But the best part is all the ways Sophia tries to get Dion to cancel getting married to Sophia which made me laugh because I could really picture it which is the mark of a good story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another winner from Stefanie London!! She’s a master at combining witty banter with super hot sexy characters. I loved How to Lose a Fiancé for those very reasons. I couldn’t stop laughing at the things Sophia did to try to get Dion to cancel the engagement. And I loved Dion for his reactions—not to mention how sexy he is.
Don’t miss this wonderful story. I can only hope that she will also be writing Theo’s story as well as many, many more awesome books.
I received a copy from Netgalley and this is my honest review.
Sophia Andreou has always done as her father asked, or rather told her to do. She may have questioned his decisions in her mind, but she never voiced those opinions out loud. Until her father tells her she is going to marry Dion Kourakis. She’s had enough of being the ‘good daughter’ and when she voices her opinion her father tells her that she doesn’t have a choice. The family company is in debt and the only way to save it is by marrying her off to Dion in return Dion will buy the company. Sophia has other plans in mind when she heads to Corfu to be with Dion.
Dion doesn’t believe in love, after all look what it did to his family. He was orphaned as a child and is now a successful businessman. He has his own reasoning for wanting to buy the company from Sophia’s dad and the stipulation of marriage in order to complete the deal is fine by him. After all, marriage isn’t something he feels deeply about anyway. When Sophia lands in Corfu she throws Dion for a loop, he isn’t prepared for her eccentric dress and hobbies, Baroness Sasha Foxington III for example. As he tries to convince her that marriage won’t be so bad to him and she can have what she craves, she is trying to figure out a way out of it. When the two come to an agreement and Dion gets to know the real Sophia they begin to enjoy each other. When tragedy strikes can the two keep up the façade or will the part ways forever?
This is my first book by Stefanie London, and I have to say I really enjoyed it! When I first started reading I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel, but by the end I was hoping for more pages. The attraction between Sophia and Dion was beautifully written and the quirky things that Sophia did were a riot to read about. I was laughing so hard at some parts, while other parts slowly broke my heart. I couldn’t get enough of Sophia and Dion. I felt so bad for Sophia at some points but Dion was just what the doctor ordered. Well done Stefanie!
This book was laugh out loud funny!! I mean seriously, Sophia shows up in Greece and meets her fiancé, Dion; wearing a crazy outfit. Meets his friends in another crazy outfit. You have to give props to Dion, he took it all and wasn’t even dazed by it. Sophia married a man she doesn’t know, to protect her mom from her dad. In the end, both Sophia and Dion learn some very valuable lessons. A must read.
How to Lose a Fiancé by Stefanie London was a funny, charming, romantic book. I really enjoyed this book.
Sophia Andreau is ruled by her father and her fear keeps here under this thumb. When he tells her she must marry a man of his choice to save his business she doesn't have the nerve to say no. She also feels by leaving she can get her mother to leave her husband . Dion Kourakis is the man he chooses and he agrees to the marriage as he has an hidden reason for wanting his business. That's a secret I won't tell, you'll find out when you read the book. Dion is gorgeous and is wealthy and up and coming so the only way to get him to not marry her she make herself hideous with wild ugly clothes and insists she needs her fox and friends that are taxidermied to live in his house. This is the beginning of a truly fantastic story of two people with a dark past that slowly peel back the layers of each other to see their true self, and Ms. London has again written a page turner that you don't want to put down. You will fall in love with Dion and Sophia and his mentor Elias and her stuffed fox named the Baroness Sasha Foxington III. Second in her series and awesome.
Loved this book! I can't say enough good things about it - I was thoroughly absorbed in the story and, in the first part of the book, found myself laughing out loud frequently. Add it what might have been my favorite character ever, the Baroness Sasha Foxington, you have a wonderful novel.
Dion was perfect as the somewhat tortured fiance, while Sophia was charming - and unique - unwilling fiance. Their relationship was entertaining as it developed. Sophia was funny as she tried to get out of the looming marriage Her various attempts had me laughing out loud often....to the point where my husband was wondering what I was reading and looking at me funny.... However, even with all that, this is a delightful contemporary romance that fans of the genre will love.
This one is a must read! Make sure you pre-order this one as it's too good to be missed. The author is on my must read authors' list and, if you enjoy the genre, should probably be on yours as well.
The story of Sophia and Dion, told from both their points of view.
It is a marriage being arranged by her father - she can't say no to it, but if she can convince Dion to say no, then she can get the freedom she wants. Only problem is that none of the tricks she uses seem to put him off, and soon they actually seem to like each other.
Entertainin read.
This is Dion and Sophia book, Dion has come a long way from being an orphan with only one friend to his name, now he runs $1 billion investment company! He wants to make his mentor proud of him so he tries to buy his cruel fathers company and run it to the ground! There’s only one problem the man he wants to buy it from wants him to marry his daughter! His future bride turns out to be nothing like what he thought she’d be! She definitely has an odd way of dressing! The harder she tries to convince him that she would be an awful wife the more he thinks they would be perfect together! Sophia has always been the good daughter tried to keep her domineering father happy, she’s always follow the rules and done everything she’s asked of her but this time her father is asking way too much! Her family‘s business is crumbling and her father has arranged her to be married to a Greek billionaire who can save their property business! She’s got to try to do the right thing by her father! I’m sure she’ll think of something to get out of This crazy idea her father has?! This book was a cute, fun read! It was definitely funny in a lot of parts and had some low steam to it ,it’s definitely worth reading! I gave this book 3 1/2 stars! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
