Sophia Andreau is ruled by her father and her fear keeps here under this thumb. When he tells her she must marry a man of his choice to save his business she doesn't have the nerve to say no. She also feels by leaving she can get her mother to leave her husband . Dion Kourakis is the man he chooses and he agrees to the marriage as he has an hidden reason for wanting his business. That's a secret I won't tell, you'll find out when you read the book. Dion is gorgeous and is wealthy and up and coming so the only way to get him to not marry her she make herself hideous with wild ugly clothes and insists she needs her fox and friends that are taxidermied to live in his house. This is the beginning of a truly fantastic story of two people with a dark past that slowly peel back the layers of each other to see their true self, and Ms. London has again written a page turner that you don't want to put down. You will fall in love with Dion and Sophia and his mentor Elias and her stuffed fox named the Baroness Sasha Foxington III. Second in her series and awesome.

Well, it finally happened.

After many moons of reading romance novels, I finally found a Greek billionaire story I can get behind. I honestly thought this day would never come.

Sophia has lived her life trying to fade into the background. Her overbearing father demands a docile and subservient daughter, even though Sofia’s natural inclination is to be bold and stick to her own guns. At 24, Sofia’s learned to keep to herself and not rock the boat, but when her father tells her she’s part of a business arrangement and must now marry a Greek billionaire, self-preservation becomes the name of the game.

Dion Kourakis learned from an early age that the only person he could count on was himself. When the opportunity to buy the company started by the late father that abandoned him to orphanage life becomes a possibility, Dion’s only goal is to buy the company and dismantle it. If that means taking on a bride, so be it. Obviously Dion didn’t take his future wife’s love of taxidermy into consideration.

“Rodents?” Dion blinked. “Plural?”
“Yes, I have a few rats and squirrels and a prairie dog. Oh, and a chinchilla.” She nodded as though she might be talking about her collection of handbags or lipsticks or an extensive library of books, each of which would have been vastly preferable to a zoo of dead animals. “I’m trying to figure out the best way to have them all shipped over.”

So here’s the deal. Normally, I don’t go for the greek/sheik/billionaire books that masquerade as romance novels. I always feel like those ladies have reason to be mad and get on a roll with their effervescent anger, only to succumb to the dreamy charms of the hero and melt right into him. When I started reading How to Lose a Fiance, I realized almost immediately that wasn’t the kind of book I was dealing with.

Once the two meet and greet, Sophia does everything she can to get Dion to cave on the arranged marriage agreement, including introducing the idea of a life of taxidermy. For his part, Dion begins to see through Sofia’s plan early on. The lightheartedness of the first half of the book helped ease me into the whole “business” end of the agreement.

What I loved most was the lack of bullshit once they both understood the other’s side. Once they were called on their manipulations, both characters were completely honest with the other and worked together to get what they want. As a result, there’s a refreshing lack of soap opera drama and we’re left with two awesome characters in their own right, getting to know each other and falling in love.

How to Lose a Fiance turned out to be an awesome surprise. Here’s hoping my fear of greek billionaire stories is a thing of the past.

Loved this book! I can't say enough good things about it - I was thoroughly absorbed in the story and, in the first part of the book, found myself laughing out loud frequently. Add it what might have been my favorite character ever, the Baroness Sasha Foxington, you have a wonderful novel.

Dion was perfect as the somewhat tortured fiance, while Sophia was charming - and unique - unwilling fiance. Their relationship was entertaining as it developed. Sophia was funny as she tried to get out of the looming marriage Her various attempts had me laughing out loud often....to the point where my husband was wondering what I was reading and looking at me funny.... However, even with all that, this is a delightful contemporary romance that fans of the genre will love.

This one is a must read! Make sure you pre-order this one as it's too good to be missed. The author is on my must read authors' list and, if you enjoy the genre, should probably be on yours as well.

The story of Sophia and Dion, told from both their points of view.

It is a marriage being arranged by her father - she can't say no to it, but if she can convince Dion to say no, then she can get the freedom she wants. Only problem is that none of the tricks she uses seem to put him off, and soon they actually seem to like each other.

Entertainin read.

This is Dion and Sophia book, Dion has come a long way from being an orphan with only one friend to his name, now he runs $1 billion investment company! He wants to make his mentor proud of him so he tries to buy his cruel fathers company and run it to the ground! There’s only one problem the man he wants to buy it from wants him to marry his daughter! His future bride turns out to be nothing like what he thought she’d be! She definitely has an odd way of dressing! The harder she tries to convince him that she would be an awful wife the more he thinks they would be perfect together! Sophia has always been the good daughter tried to keep her domineering father happy, she’s always follow the rules and done everything she’s asked of her but this time her father is asking way too much! Her family‘s business is crumbling and her father has arranged her to be married to a Greek billionaire who can save their property business! She’s got to try to do the right thing by her father! I’m sure she’ll think of something to get out of This crazy idea her father has?! This book was a cute, fun read! It was definitely funny in a lot of parts and had some low steam to it ,it’s definitely worth reading! I gave this book 3 1/2 stars! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
