Someone We Know is yet another gripping thriller from Shari Lapena. This one is currently my favourite book out of her works.

I went into Someone We Know with an open mind since I loved The Couple Next Door and hated An Unwanted Guest. I’m pleased to say this is on par with TCND!

This is one of those stories that you’ll put your life on hold to finish, gripped me from the first page and I enjoyed how two stories within the plot twist together in harmony. Realistic characters and beautifully written, guaranteed to be a bestseller!

Another absolute smasher from Shari Lapena. This book was completely unputdownable. A murdered woman found in a tight nit neighbourhood. A neighbourhood that’s full of its own secrets. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
A great story that reminded me a little of Jo Spain’s Dirty Little Secrets. Another amazing book. As always this book was so well written with lovable and flawed characters. I was suspecting everyone. Shari Lapena is one of my favourite authors, a masterful storyteller. Amazing. Highly recommended xx

Edgy and gripping, the story draws you right in from page 1. I love Shari's uncomplicated writing style and have loved all her novels so far. This is another excellent one I read in a day.

I loved all of Shari Lapena’s books and eagerly picked this one up. Its set in a small town near New York. Teenager Raleigh Sharpe has been breaking into houses His mother finds out and goes to see a lawyer She also leaves anonymous letters apologising in the houses affected.
Raleigh will not say why he breaks into the houses but admits he has been logging into computers. Then a woman’s body is found and everyones a suspect
It feels like nosey neighbours spying on each other with everyone having secrets slowly revealed. The suspense builds as the book moves on. With all that is going on Olivia’s son’s actions are small fry.
This was such a great read I thoroughly enjoyed it and would greatly recommend it.

This was a fun, fast-paced read that I read in the space of 24 hours. The writing was easy to get on with and I found myself intrigued to find out more (although some things I wanted to understand were never resolved). Unfortunately, I guessed the ending in the first few chapters so would have liked to have seen a more obscure twist, but ultimately found it an enjoyable way to while away a few hours on a hot summer’s weekend.
