A wonderful story. Marshall rescues Emma from a wreck and she ends up rescuing his heart. A small town story filled with intrigue and danger. Emma’s character is complex and fascinating. The author designed the plot twists to heighten the uniqueness of her talents. She is truly pure and good which makes her a great addition to the small to setting and the Boyer family. The animals are a great addition to the story as well.

Another really well written hot story for adults!
You get into the story from the start and it's never boring!

With a beautiful cover too! That's what caught my eye first.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Devil’s Way Out starts with a woman who has been held prisoner for years against her will that manages an escape to run half way across the country only to be bamboozled by an elderly lady who has a pension for stealing cars. And then it gets really interesting from there…

This is my first read by Nika Dixon but it won’t be my last. Dixon impressively juggles that fine line of dark and evil, fun and flirty and all that good stuff in between while creating a slow building, smoldering attraction – love connection that will have you, the reader, swooning. All the while building that small town, homey feel that instantly connects the reader to the storytelling. But the icing on the cake is the slight paranormal flare that just flat out worked.

I received this ARC copy of Devil's Way Out from Entangled Publishing, LLC - Entangled: Amara. This is my honest and voluntary review. Devil's Way Out is set for publication June 24, 2019.

Wow! It starts out slow and funny: thought it would be a cute story. Boy was I in for a big surprise!

Once the story gets ramped up and you've been introduced to all the Boyers and the rest of Danny's staff at the Sheriff's office, you're in for a wild ride. It's non-stop thrills and excitement until the last page.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher for my honest review.

4.5⭐
Devil's Way Out was a great read. That really drew me in, thanks to extremely likable characters and a storyline that was different and interesting. Not to mention engaging, suspenseful, intriguing and enjoyable to read. And even though it was hard to get into due to the fact it's quite slow to start and it does take a while for the story to build, I loved it and I'm so glad I stuck with it. As it really surprised me, and I would certainly recommend it to others.

Devil’s Way Out is not just another cowboy romance story. This book has it all, depth, mystery, romance. It was my first book by Nika Dixon but won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book.

This book had me entranced from the start. I loved the characters and can’t wait to see what the author does in further stories because I’m definitely not done wondering about the rest of the players in this small town of Absolution, MT. Emma and Marshall had chemistry from the beginning but I really loved the suspense as their story progressed! I think Emmaline entranced me like she did all the animals on the farm - her gift was amazing.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I definitely know that I’ll look for more books by Nika Dixon. This one was awesome!

**I received a copy of Devil's Way out from Net Galley and Entangled Publishing in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions expressed below are mine and not solicited in any way**

Devil's Way Out by Nika Dixon is the first in what hope will be a series of the people of Absolution, MT after all I feel that both Danny Boyer, Bailey and Sam should have their happily every afters. The ending will have you in giggles with how Devil the horse, Drift, Sam's dog and Tinkerbell the cat meet Emma at the pond.

What if you were kept prisoner in a Penthouse because you have a gift of not only drawing but the ability to draw the future? Plus Alan exploits Emmaline Katz abilities as well as killing anyone who would try to take her away. So when she's able to run away from him and his two goons, Emma will meet Georgie who escapes once a month from her assisted living home and loves to borrow cars for joy rides. But neither women can drive and will crash the car which leads to meeting the Boyer boys and the folks of Absolution, MT. Can Emma finally experience everything she's always wanted to like going to the mall shopping with a pre-teen? Will Marshall ever convince Emma to wear shoes or will she always be walking barefoot? I guess you'll have to read the book to find out all the answers.

The last thing Marshall Boyer needs is a mysterious woman who is running from someone dangerous that will soon have his dad, Hank, niece Lilly and the town falling in love her drawings plus her not of being able to do things most people take for granted. His heart still aches from the loss of his city girlfriend. Soon the men she's running from will find her and it will take every one of Danny's deputies to find both Emma and Lilly before it's too late

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion. This is a very emotional and riveting story about Emmaline and Marshall. Both have pasts that haunt them and hold them back.

As Emma tries to learn “everyday life” and Marshall steps in to help her, they both open up and start to blossom. Then Emma’s threat gets too close and threatens to harm those she is starting to love.

This is a great story and an author I will read again.

The Devils way back is the story of Marshal and Emmaline. All in this book was good. Emma has been found by the Boyer boys as she and an older lady stole a car and crashed it. It’s nothing but an adventure from running from a killer, awesome pictures, crazy pets, and insane attraction.

Just simply good to read.

Devil’s Way Out by Nika Dixon a five-star read that you won’t want to get out from. This was sublime, I wasn’t sure what to expect as I don’t always like a cowboy romance but had heard good things about this one so thought why not. Do you know what it was so much more, it surprised me with the depth and drama and just the mystery of the story. I don’t know what to write as I really don’t want to give the game away, there is so much going on in this story and what an amazing town Absolution is, I would love to hear more from this place as there is so much going on. This is one of those stories that you think goes one way and then it goes another and you love it.

I received an e-arc of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I really enjoyed this book, and definitely recommend it. I can't wait to see if the author branches out with more books that include these characters.
I found the writing to be emotionally stirring and extremely engaging. Marshall and Emma's chemistry was clear from the beginning and I rooted for them the whole way. I liked the slight supernatural aspect of this book and it didn't take away from the budding romance and storyline at all. Again, all I can say is that I hope the author makes this a series and gives me more to read!

Although the summary was intriguing, I had no idea what to expect from this book or this author. I am so glad that I was chosen to receive this book…it is GREAT! The characters, the story, the danger, the romance – this book has it all! When artist Emmaline Katz is able to escape from the restrictive-life she has led for the past fifteen years, she ends up in rural Montana. She has no place to go, although she is heading west with no money and no friends. Rancher Marshall Boyer distrusts Emma at first as he knows she is a city girl and he has already had enough heartache from a former relationship. Emma, without even trying, charms everyone she comes in contact with - strangers, children, horses, dogs and even the cat. When danger follows her to Montana, seeking the hidden talent that she possesses, she needs to leave. She does not want to bring harm to the people who have befriended her, but Marsh and his family will protect her no matter what it takes. I only hope Ms. Dixon has plans for stories about the wonderful secondary characters, Sheriff Danny, Lucy, Hank, Bailey, and Ethan. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

A fun and unique romantic suspense that I could not put down! This town has a fantastic name and one heck of a colorful group of townsfolk. I can’t figure out who is my favorite outside of the main characters...a doctor who looks like Santa, the individuals at the diner, or the deputies. All of them are extremely well developed and engaging. The Boyer family is perfection in that they are the picture perfect family but also realistic because they gripe and pick with each other.

The writing is vivid and the topography of Absolution (great town name) has me itching to visit the mountains and be out in nature. The storyline has a unique take on why someone would run from their situation and I found it enjoyable and quite creative.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled for the chance to read this book and share my opinion!

Emmaline Katz is running scared, she needs to keep moving to escape her ruthless captor but it’s so hard with no personal possessions. Her journey comes to a sudden stop and she finds herself being cared for by the Boyers. It’s difficult to accept help when her experience tells her no one can be trusted. Interesting and exciting. Would love to read more about this neck of the woods. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

I'm a first time reader of Nika Dixon. And I'm so please to say I was pleasantly surprised. This book was tempered completely different from most contemporary romance books, Where most books are an immediate jump in the fire, 'Devil's Way Out' is like a smoldering embers kind of book. You really have to settle into this book. Don't expect flashbang military action or wild drama. It's a cowboy kind of book anyways :) Expect some horses, small town banter and a slower-pace. Settle into this book like you're settling into a comfortable chair with your favorite blanket and a glass of wine.

Prepare yourself to unwind against the backdrop of Absolution, Montana with the Boyer brothers. more specifically, Marshall-- "...its a leisurely pace". Don't misunderstand though; there is drama and angst and emotion. It's just so subtle. It smolders...and it only needs a steady breath of air to catch fire. That's also an apt description of the female lead, Emmaline (Emma). She's running. She only needs a steady breath of air to catch fire. And Marshall is her match. Of course, there's always some snag--like an ornery cat, an excited dog and a reluctant horse. Don't worry; they're like kindling to the fire.

'Devil's Way Out' is a lovely book. I enjoyed the story of Marshall and Emma. The author, Nika Dixon, also does a wonderful job of creating a believable world of supporting characters. That's almost as lovely as the story between Marshall and Emma.

Disclaimer for people that need disclaimers: I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of 'Devil's Way Out' thru Netgalley. I'm a real person reading real books and reviewing them on my real computer. :)

What a page turner! Loved the story, the characters, and the setting. When Marshall and his brother Danny come across an accident, they stop to help. Little does Marshall know is that he will find Emma, who will soon become his. She is running from a creepy mafia type killer, and is filled with anxiety and issues. Love how the animals all tend to migrate towards her, and her drawings are interesting too. Great story, and one I highly recommend. Hard to put this one down.

Loved this book!!! This is a quickly moving romantic suspense that I found myself completely engrossed in and turning pages just as quickly as possible. The author has crafted a tightly woven romantic suspense that fans of the genre will love. However, more than that, she has taken a familiar trope and twisted it into something unique and thoroughly entertaining.

The characters were likeable and with enough depth to make them interesting. I found myself hoping for them to get their HEA ending. This is a new author to me, but I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.
