I wanted this to be adorable cute rom-com but it was just bad... Both of the characters were annoying. Dallas`s love interest, Dayton or Dalton or whatever his name was... jeez man he was pushy and annoying.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher, via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

All Dallas Bryan wants is to dance, but at her school she's resigned herself to the cheer team, until she can escape for her dream school, CalArts. She doesn't want any complications, and is fine with just her brother Nathan, and best friend Gabby, for company. But when the quarterback and star of the school, Drayton Lahey, literally crashes into her, it seems fate has another idea. As her feelings grow, will she still aim for her dream of California, or will her heart take her in another direction?

Right, I'm going to start off by saying this wasn't a bad book, per se, but it read very much like a CW teen drama, with all the angst and not much of a plot. I never really jelled with any of the characters, and found them to be really obnoxious, over the top, and wholly fake. I think some teens would enjoy this YA/NA book, but for me, I was rolling my eyes a little too much throughout the whole thing.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book starts off really slow and I think many teens will give it up before it really gets moving along, which is a shame because it's a pretty good book that teens may be able to relate to.

Catching up on reviews here from my blog - This was a quick read from author Tay Marley. I love a sports romance and YA so this was a good read for me! Will keep an eye out for more Wattpad books to come.

Three times I have tried to read this and Three times I can't seem to allow my brain to fall that low. I think I'm going to have to give up on this completely. Felt like it was fanfiction come to life.

This romance wasn't honestly the best. It could have been way better. I wish that there could have been more. It just fell very flat and was too cliched.

This was just not the book for me. I really didn't like the characters or the story. Would not recommend.

But who doesn't love our favorite bad boy Drayton Lahey. I read this on Wattpad and now reading an improved version was just the icing on the cake. I love Taylor, she's such a good writer. I hope she publishes the rest of her books!

This is such a cute teen romance!
Whilst it's pretty unrealistic, it is a fun, quick, easy read!

I loved Drayton and Dallas! They were super adorable together!
The rest of the characters rounded out the story well!!!

This book would make a great summer read!!

Loved this book!! The characters are well written and the story line flows perfectly. Drayton and Dallas make a great couple. We get to follow along with them as they fall in love and make decisions about their lives. A great YA read for anyone looking for a sweet love story.

I enjoyed the story of Dallas and Drayton. It was sweet and a breath of fresh air. I loved how they figured out things together with school and football. They are so supportive of each other in the story. The banter is just so funny to me. It reminds me of me and my husband. I would highly recommend this story.

*I received an advance copy of this book from Wattpad Books on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion. *

I know that football players are the boys of fall but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a little swoony football romance perfectly fine in the beauty of summer. Besides, the CFL starts in June ;)

I was sold on reading this from the second I heard "QB" but in reality I was very on the fence while reading. I loved the characters about 50% of the time and then wanted to smack them the other 50%. I like how Dallas is very open-minded in regards to her sexuality and that overall she's allowed to live that part of her life however she chooses without it becoming a point of shame. She's also very determined to follow her dreams of getting into the dance program she wants and I'm all for promoting and nurturing that kind of ambition and drive in young girls. Then she turns around and does things that are reckless and borderline dangerous in some cases all in the name of breaking out of her shell and changing things up. I know making questionable decisions is part of being a teen, lord knows I made my fair share, but GIRL...you went 0 to 100 wayyy too quickly.

Then we have Drayton. I also either loved him or wanted to kick him in the balls. On one hand it's sweet that he cares enough to be so protective of Dallas. On the other, he wanders down some very problematic paths in the effort to look out for her. As a female who has been on high alert and super on edge walking places at night, his trying to prove a point to a very drunk Dallas by pretending to attack her was just cruel. In reality it has the potential to also be really hard on her psychologically but it was presented in way that came across as it was meant to be swoon-worthy. I was so uncomfortable at that point that I almost put the book down and walked away from it. There are other instances where his behaviour left a bad taste in my mouth even though it was supposed to be coming from a good place but the fake attack was the worst for me personally.

I did find their dynamic as a couple to be extremely cute overall. The banter and giving one another a hard time was great and I liked that Drayton is supportive of Dallas and her dreams (even if it's sometimes to reckless extremes). There were many moments that made me swoon and had me wishing I had someone to be like that with even though I'm an old hermit and generally very secure in that role.

The struggle of figuring things out in your last year of high school and trying to feel secure in who your are the path you've chosen is also huge. Although not always to the extreme that Dallas does, it's normal to push the boundaries of what you're used to and explore new things leading up to a big period of change.

enjoyed this quick fun read, I love sport romance and this teen romance was very sweet. Drayton and Dallas story, the QB bad boy and the girl that had been through everything. Their relationship is sweet and swoony. The secondary characters Gabby and Josh where a wonderful addon. Great read for a weekend to remember high school romance.

The QB Bad Boy and Me was a cute romance with a lot of fun elements which indicated teen romance and I really liked that but there wasn't too much to it except that, and still it was pretty unrealistic in the way the main characters acted and behaved.

Dallas doesn't want to form any deep emotional bonds in the small town she lives in as she wants to get pout of there as soon as possible and never come back.

In comes Drayton Lahey, a 'bad boy' with no basis to support it except some tattoos and a rough past.

The romance between them was nice and sweet and a little steamy, albeit a little rushed. I did not mind it much as they were just teens in love for the first time and well, it made the book fun to read.

What was actually problematic was the attitude of the characters. Yes, I liked there was no 'slut-shaming' and how people were supportive of each other in dire situations, and how the characters often acted like teenagers and sneaked around but there came a point where it went too far out of hand.
Taking a trip out of state without any permission? Not something a teenager can do with such light punishments after it.
So, while the book started off good, it became a little too dreamy towards the middle.

Overall, this book was a fluffy, nice read which was enjoyable.

Dallas lives together with her brother since her parents have been killed in a car accident. Drayton plays for the high school football team. They led totally separate lives til one day Drayton hit Dallas's car with his motorcycle. Since then they bump into each other more frequently than Dallas would wish for. Although Drayton is popular and has lots of female fans Dallas is definitely not one of them but the more time they spend together the more they understand each other and gradually fall in love (even though Dallas doesn't really believe in love). They romance is very steamy and definitely swoon worthy! At some point it will turn out that Dallas is not the only one who suffered loss. Additional points for swoon!

***ARC received in exchange of an honest opinion***

The QB Bad Boy and Me was a very cute YA/NA book and I really enjoyed reading it.

The story was funny and easy to read and even though it had some clichés, I still enjoyed reading about Dallas and Dray!

I do feel like some things were thrown in the story and didn't have the follow up they entailed, but other than that this was the kind of highschool romance I enjoy. It has the right ammount of sweetness so it was enjoyable.

And despite having some elements I've seen in other stories, this story captured me and I felt immersed in it. It's a great debut story and I'm glad I read it.

I love a good sports romance but for me, this one was just average. I really had a hard time getting into the whole storyline at first. Dallas was ok as a heroine and Drayton was just too stereotypical.

The book just lacked originality and seemed like every cheerleader/football player romance. It was slow-paced and I really wanted to give up on it. It did have its moments that sparked an interest but overrall I could take it or leave it.
