Watching his brother Finn constantly catch feelings for women, propose, and then bail, is going to lead to a disaster. Liam knows one of these days he's going to make down the aisle... which could mean that when it eventually implodes like all his other "spur of the moment" relationships, their pub could wind up in the hands of his ex.

So he decides he needs to devise a plan to get Finn away from the ladies for a bit. So he gets Finn to agree to distance himself from women for a month, with the counter offer from Finn that Liam to agree to next woman that comes into the pub on a date.

And the moment Cassie O'Brien walks into their bar Liam doesn't know what hit him...

Bet Me to Stay was an enjoyable first time read, the words were captivating, and the characters were refreshing! I loved the heated playful banter between Liam and Cassie, they had me laughing, swooning, and cheering them on the whole way through. I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and provide you with lots of laughs!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

While this book had the potential to be a fun, sexy romance, for me, it unfortunately fell short. Cassie is a romance author who writes wholesome books. But this is a dying market and if Cassie wants to keep her author dreams alive, she will need to add some spice to her books. Liam, owns the pub across the street from Cassie's parents but is in danger of losing it if his brother, Finn, doesn't stop getting engaged/married and giving a piece away every time in a settlement. If Liam agrees to date the next girl who walks into the bar, Finn agrees not to date anyone for the next month and to make them sign a prenup before it goes too far. When Cassie walks into the bar looking like a homeless bag lady with 98 cats, Liam's heart sinks. But appearances can be deceptive and Cassie turns out to be quite some firecracker between the sheets. My problem was that this went from a bet, to insta lust, to non stop sex to love with such speed that my head was spinning. Cassie, a self confessed prude and novice in all things relating to the bedroom, suddenly became this extrovert who will try anything, and I mean anything. It just felt a little too fake, too rushed and too contrived. There was problems with the continuity in some places in the book and with some of the words and grammar, but I am hoping that this is something the final edits will pick up before it is released. As I said, great potential, but sadly I found it lacking.

Sorry folks but this wasn't a book in my opinion, and yes that is all it is my opinion. So after reading the blurb I was happy with my decision to request it, but it is all about sex, not I am not a prude and I do enjoy a little in my books but this didn't have a story line, what do I mean? Let me give you an example..So she is a writer but almost a virgin and her publisher/friend suggest she has a one night stand to give her books more spice because she is apparently bad at getting people inspired of hot under the collar she is about to give up her writing, She ends up in families business competition (I know I am rambling, sorry) anyhoo, she is at the bar, she meets her love interest guess what after meeting they have sex that day. She comes back next day guess what they have sex, I was bored totally not interested because it was just too descriptive, too graphic and not interesting enough, yeah deleting book, and not interested in reading more from this author.

While this book does fall under the erotic category it had lots of contemporary romance vibes to it which I really enjoyed. This story was well written and not overshadowed or hidden by the dirtier parts of the story.
While it was a quick read it really left me connected to the characters. I enjoyed this story a lot more than I intended to and I think that it is one that if you like romance novels this one should sky rocket to the top of your list. The book starts off with our main character Liam making a bet with his brother that he has to date the next
person who walks into their bar. Low and behold who crosses the threshold, but Casey. She is not a looker and in fact she looks more like a crazy cat lady however Liam is determined to win this bet. It turns out that Casey is a romance author who has never been with a man before. She its a pro at writing down feelings especially when it comes to the sexual nature of them however actually experiencing them is something that she hasn't done. Well since this is a romance book you can guess where it goes from there. Great read I found the characters simply fantastic and I loved the connection that they had with each other even though they kept saying that it was only a physical connection. Another thing that I really liked was that it wasn't to dirty
or cheesy it had just the right amount of each with out going over the top. Liam's character was amazing and I had to keep reading to see what was going to happen. Nice job this is one that fans of all genres should check out. This quick read gives you just enough to make a cute story but not enough to go overboard.

Loved this book! Thank you for the ARC! This book had everything I look for in a romance book - the perfect story/steamy scenes balance. I'm going to check out more books by Candace Havens for sure!

Quick read about a Boston based Irish pub (which only mentions Boston as location and nothing else) owner, Liam who makes a bet with his brother to date the next girl who walks into the bar. Cassie walks in looking like death and immediately is the opposite for Liam.

They "non relationship" begins. What starts off as physical quickly turns into much more before they both realize it.

Liam is the best book boyfriend ever

I thought this book was wonderful. It had all the right elements. It was sexy, funny, dirty, romantic, smart, and had a strong but vulnerable female lead and a handsome and genuine male lead. It starts with a bet between two brothers that own an Irish Pub in Boston together. The older brother Liam is worried than his younger brother Finn gets engaged too often and too soon.

Liam is afraid that one of these timers Finn will actually tie the knot and end up divorced, giving part of their pub away to the ex wife. So he bets gets Finn to agree to stay away from women for a month and Finn gets Liam to agree to date the next woman to walk into the pub. The woman that walks in is a writer who has written nice tame romance novels, but needs to move into a more erotic genre.

Casey is immediately attracted to Liam and though at first he doesn’t see behind her baggie sweat pants and large sweater, he looks closer pretty quickly as she talks to him. She is unafraid to speak up. She asks for what she wants and the book starts out quickly and is fun to read. The dirty talk is humorous and jokes are hilarious. The sex is downright steamy. There is just the right blend of humor, sex, and story so there is not too much of one or the other. I really enjoyed the book and plan to read more from this author.

Cassie and Liam are two characters that I didn't want to leave behind. Cassie is funny, honest (for the most part) and in need of some good loving. Liam is a gorgeous hunk with all the right moves. Oh, and let's not forget that Irish accent!
Please, please keep writing Ms. Havens...I'm hooked!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks to the author and publisher of #BetMeToStay and #NetGalley.

I loved this book. This is not a style I usually read. I like suspense and adventure in my books. Cassie is a author that is so unsure of herself. No self-confidence. She meets Liam and boy howdy do the sparks fly. Can these to overcome the secrets between them, to find a true love of their own? Guess you will have to read the book!

Casey Meadows is a romance author who is transitioning from sweet romances to much steamier fare. The problem is Casey isn’t very experienced and her agent lets her know that her book is a little too clinical and not very risqué. Casey leaves her agent and decides to go into the Irish pub across the street from her parents’ pub. This pub is owned by brothers Liam and Finn O’Connor. Liam is worried about his brother, who falls in love and gets engaged at the drop of a hat, will get married and lose half his share of the bar. Liam bets Finn that he cannot go a month without going out with a woman. Finn agrees, only if Liam dates the next woman that walks in the door. Of course, in walks Casey. This is the beginning of a physical relationship that let’s Casey get fodder for her book. Problem is, what starts as just a physical relationship becomes more and their secrets can potentially blow everything up. I like this book, but didn’t love it. I think my problem with this book is the instant love that occurs. These two are getting busy a lot, but not a lot of getting to know you behavior, so not buying the undying love. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

Liam makes a bet with his brother to date the first woman who enters their pub. When in walks a girl in sweats, he does not know what's in store for him.
Cassie writes romance novels but lately has gotten feedback that she needs to spice it up to keep up with the other authors and have a successful career. However, Cassie has an issue - her sex scenes suck! However, when she meets a sexy pub owner Liam, who seems to be interested in her, she thinks she might have a chance as a successful romance author.
The book had potential - the idea for the plot seemed promising and fun. I really liked Cassie, she was sweet and funny. Her family did not really believe in her, so she had low self-esteem. Liam was sexy and definitely a hunk. However, it felt like the characters were not fully developed and something was missing. For example, Cassie's family does not seem supportive at all throughout the book but in the end there is a scene where her family does a full 180 and for me it just did not make sense in the context of this book.
Also, this has a major case of insta-love - the entire book takes place in a month. There were a few inconsistencies with the timeline that I noticed and hopefully it will be fixed before the book is published. This book also had a lot of sex scenes, so if you are bothered by it, it might not be your thing. I think this book could be made better with a little revising.
All in all, it is a quick fun read for people who like Alexa Riley and Sierra Simone.

The story of Liam and Cassie.

After he bet his brother he would date the next woman who walked in to their pub, he ends up dating Cassie and she is nothing like he first expected. But she is keeping a big secret from him, so what will happen when he finds out. She does keep trying to tell him but he just won't listen.

When she finds out about the bet with his brother what will happen?

4.5 stars! With a snort-worthy hilarious beginning, hot-flash inducing middle, and adorably sweet ending, this book kept me furiously flipping pages. I really enjoyed Liam and Cassie, individually and together, and I thought their characters were well developed and their chemistry palpable. I like stories that don't drone on for hours, and at about 3-4 hours, this was a perfect length. This was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. (As an aside, the only reason I did not give this one a full 5 stars is because it needs some editorial attention. Since I read an ARC, hopefully the grammar issues will be cleaned up in a final proof, but there are a few timeline inconsistencies that should have been resolved during editing. C'mon, editing team; this author is a great storyteller--you need to have her back by catching these distracting issues.)

This book had potential, but didn't quite make it all the way. First the good: the main characters are very likable and easy to relate to, and the premise of the story is cute and fun. So, with good characters and a fun premise, this book would have benefited from the following:
- A longer timeline: This was neck-breaking insta-love/lust, not allowing for any build-up or excitement. It also makes it hard to understand when the heroine says her confidence has been transformed by the hero; setting aside her own agency, really he transformed her in a week? Or two? Or three? Which leads us to...
- A clear timeline: we know their relationship was super fast, but in one chapter it mentions they've known each other for a week, then a page later they've known each other for a few weeks. Either way, the pacing was too fast, but consistency would be nice.
- A more nuanced approach to the sex: There was a lot of it and it tended to be over the top and detracted from what could have been the strongest part of this story, these likable characters and their relationship.
- More emphasis on the relationship: These characters were easy to like and root for, I wish their relationship had been front and center.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a quick, cute read. There were a few issues I had with it, mainly how Casey continuously brushed off any compliment Liam gave her. However, the sexy parts were very sexy. Overall, I really enjoyed it.

Steamy and sweet, Bet Me to Stay is most definitely an erotic romance, featuring several sex scenes throughout the book and a love story that sometimes takes a backseat to the physical side of things. The story follows Liam, a bar owner who makes a bet with his marriage-minded brother - his brother will agree to a prenup next time he gets engaged, and in exchange the commitment phobic Liam will date the next single girl who walks into the bar for one month. That girl is Cassie, a romance novelist who is so focused on her writing that she sometimes forgets about her personal grooming. She’s been tasked with making her writing steamier, so when Liam approaches her, she thinks it’s the perfect opportunity to expand her knowledge of sex. Things heat up almost immediately, and the pair agree to keeps feelings out of the equation, but as the month goes by that gets to be more and more difficult. Unfortunately, they’re each harboring a secret that could threaten their budding relationship, and ruin everything they’ve been slowly building.

This is a very steamy read (and not particularly long), so the emotional relationship isn’t nearly as developed as the physical. It’s not straight up erotica, but it also doesn’t feel like a true romance. I liked both Liam and Cassie - they both go into this thinking it will be temporary, but things change along the way. Liam is definitely pretty alpha, but he was also very sweet with Cassie and worked on building up her self esteem. I really enjoyed those aspects of story, and probably would’ve liked the book more if their relationship was fleshed out - as it is, they kept things pretty surface level for so long that they were just starting to dig deeper when the book ended. Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I definitely see potential in future stories by this author.

This book was cute and a romance two of my favorite things about a book with just enough spice in it to keep the story fun!

This was a sweet little book with some very spicy bits, and for me it was good but not great. Some of the dialogue was a bit stilted, and I’m never a huge fan of insta-love. I also struggled a bit with the big “secret:” reveal. It felt a little meh to me. But overall, a fun, quick read. 3.5 stars from me.
