The book was just as hilarious as the Instagram account the two authors run (Every Outfit on Sex and the City). It was a great ode to Miranda Hobbes. I couldn’t finish the Sex and the City sequel by Candace Bushnell, but was excited to devour this one.

Part relationship and self help guide, humour book, and love letter to the unsung hero of Sex and the City, Miranda Hobbes. Funny and full of advice on how to live your best life as per Miranda. So (to paraphrase Miranda) if you enjoy drinking coffee, having sex, buying pies, and battery operated devices, as well as having a a love of Sex and the City, then this is one to check out.

This book was too much fluff, even for a book based on Sex and the City. Unfortunately I was not able to get through it.

I am a self-proclaimed Miranda so I was really excited for this book. It just didn't live up to my expectations. Most of it was just a repeat of things that were said in the show. I think I would rather just re-watch.

I'm usually wary of book written by internet stars but this one was an entertaining read, full of fun and quite well written.
It's easy, fluffy and I recommend it.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

This was a fun and funny read (see: Chapter 1's astrology lesson; I'm a Miranda with Carrie-rising). The authors really know what they're talking about and the book is full of references from the entire Sex and the City series and its feature films. The writing is humorous and it reads like a light self-help book, including lists, illustrations, and other entertaining breaks in the prose. I've already recommended this to many friends who I know indulged in Sex and the City like I did.

I couldn’t help but wonder...Could instagram influencers actually produce a good book?

(Sorry, I had to).

I’m generally skeptical of books that capitalize on fleeting internet fame, those coming from Instagram influencers generally being the worst of the lot. But the two ladies who run the Every Outfit on SATC account are so clever and entertaining that I thought this one was worth a shot.

And I’m pleased to report it was loads of fun to read.

Certainly, this is all fluff content, but hey, so was Sex and the City! The book is funny without feeling forced, doesn’t contain too much bloat and filler, and is a fun trip down memory lane if you were a big fan of the show.

The illustrations were also delightful, and I think Type A Miranda would have appreciated the tone of the writing as well as how much of the book is organized into list format.

And yes, we absolutely should all be Mirandas.

A cute book about why we should be proud to be a certain type of person. Kinda a book on why you should just be you.

When I saw the women behind one of my favorite Instagram accounts, Every Outfit on Sex & the City, were writing a book, I knew I would read it. However, I didn't anticipate loving it as much as I did. There were so many in-jokes with the show that I appreciated. The break down of Miranda's personality and behaviors really made me see that I am a Miranda (with a Charlotte rising) and that is a wonderful thing to be. Thank you for helping me overcome my internalized Mirandaphobia. This is perfect for anyone who loves Sex and the City, Tevas, eating cake from garbage cans, and living your best life as a Miranda.
