An ok read. Sadly I hadn’t read any of the series prior to this.. it didn’t really grab me and sadly I didn’t really enjoy it. However I did finish it,
Thank you to both NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read this book

When I first started out reading this book I did not think I was going to like it or any of the characters but I was wrong. Going on holiday with your kids and friends and their kids and wanting to be able to relax and sit and read or just to have fun did not quite happen as planned. Katy and Ben decide to have their friends and kids join them to Spain and get tickets for a budget flight , which they find out why lol. But decide to spend more of the money on the hotel. The bedrooms are not what they expected so that starts off not well. Then they meet up with Ollie who is there on his non honeymoon since his fiance broke up with him 3 weeks before the wedding. Abby doesn't seem to be happy to be there with her husband pr their child and so that makes things difficult and they meet a group of women, on the plane, for a girls week bachlorette party. So Katy, Abby and Daniel get sucked into partying with them. This book had me shaking my head at some of them and laughing at other things. I had not read any of the other books by this author and may have to read a few.

Oh boy! Books by Tracy Bloom are what I look forward to so I was extremely excited to read this latest book and my goodness it was absolutely fantastic! I just love these reoccurring characters along with the few new ones, they really make this book fun and the hilarious moments they have are brilliant, I laughed so many times. When reading this book I just wished I was on holiday and it has really made me want to book one so I would definitely say this is the perfect summer read. I didn’t want this book to end! It is that good! But I must say this is Tracy’s best book to date.

Three couples, that we've already got to know very well and love so much - Katy and Ben, Braindead and Abby, Daniel and Gabriel - are off on their first holiday together as families. With five children between them. Abroad. To Spain. To a family friendly hotel, which means that it's full with such travellers as our characters. What can go wrong, right? It's for sure going to be a relaxing, peaceful holiday, right? Or not?

I've read somewhere that parents actually don't have holidays at all - they simply look after their children in a different place, and well, this book shows that it is true. The way all the characters tried so much to get as much as possible out of their holidays, how they tried to adjust and not go crazy was so brilliantly portrayed and made the book even more brilliant to read.

It is already the fifth book in the series and well, as much as I think it could be read as a stand - alone, I wouldn't recommend it. I've seen some reviewers mentioning the fact that the characters were not developed enough - well, I got to know them inside out in the previous four books, it felt like being with old friends together again, and the author really didn't have to flesh them all out again - if you've been with Katy and the gang through thick and thin you really know them and what make them tick now. So better read the previous books as well, me thinks.

It was hilarious and funny and full of "OMG" moments read, unbelievably relatable, even though my daughter is a very easy - care child, but being so much around other children once you've seen this you've seen this all (and can't unseen or forget it). The attempts of really enjoying the holiday by taking part in all the planned activities, that usually turned out to be attractive and thrilling only in the flyer, trying to spend some time together as couples and keep everybody happy on top of that were brilliantly described. And rang a bell - it's a situation that probably all of us know very well, no matter if we're parents or not yet. Keep everybody happy, ha!

The characters are like old friends but the one that I liked most this time must have been Daniel, so out of place on a budget airline and in a normal hotel room, not in a suite, behaving like prima donna, and I simply loved him! He was so funny and he seemed so shallow but deep inside he was so insightful and full of love to his daughter and husband, and well, his battles also rang a bell, don't you think? This of wanting to be a stay at home father but realising that it's better other way round.
We've got more of Gabriel this time and I can't say how much he impressed me, first with his patience and second, with using his Spanish to solve some problems - the way he did this was simply first class brilliant!
I couldn't put my finger on Abby, I was guessing there was much more to her behaviour than meets the eye and I think I'd like the author to dig deeper into her problems and issues a little bit more - especially as I was in her shoes, so I really could relate to her and her feelings. Braindead... Well, I must admit that he annoyed me a little this time, he took to fatherhood too seriously and I had a feeling that Abby being so absent simply worked for him.
There are some new characters introduced to us as well, and they were a great addiction, especially Ollie. Oh boy, the poor Ollie, who's on his honeymoon, staying in the honeymoon suite at the same hotel that our characters but without the bride, who has called - off the wedding. The honeymoon suite is a character of its own, be prepared!

Intertwined with all the humour and light heartedness, and I really liked how it was done, were the problems and troubles that come with family and becoming a parent. They're written with a pinch of salt but they're there, highlighted, all the expectations versus reality, and how well the fact that the arrival of the children impacted the relationships of their parents was captured.

"No One Ever Has Sex on Holiday" was a quick, light and entertaining read, full of quirky, sharp dialogues and hilarious one - liners. It was full of many laugh out loud moments, but also some poignant and heart - warming ones, and Tracy Bloom knows how to handle and balance them. However, the main point of this book is to entertain you, and it fulfils this intention completely, offering you a relaxing, light and uplifting read. Highly recommended, a perfect summer read!

I usually have so much fun with Tracy Bloom’s books and this one was no different. Her books this year have been so well timed with my own life situations. The previous title No-One Ever Has Sex at a Wedding was so relatable. I read it right after my wedding and it was perfect! No-one Ever Has Sex on a Holiday is another great read that made me think about parenthood.

The gang is back and this time, they all have kids. Daniel and Gabrielle have baby Sylvie. Craig ‘Braindead’ and Abby have baby Logan and of course, Kate and Ben have Jack and Maddy. Two of these kids are toddlers. This is an important detail because taking your kids on holiday is tricky but toddlers is another whole different ballgame. Nothing about babies screams ‘time to relax’.

This story is hilarious. The couples decided to take a budget trip to Spain and it was an absolute mess that had me clutching my sides in laughter. I didn’t even know that there are flights without allocated seats. I have had to scramble into buses but can’t imagine trying to do the same in a plane. The flight was too funny, the budget hotel an absolute nightmare and everything else seemed to go downhill.

Bloom has a way with words. She painted pictures of the holiday that made me feel like I had traveled with the characters. I still have images of baby Logan pouring buckets of water over a stranger’s feet and people jumping overboard a cruise ship like they were on the titanic.

Although this book made me laugh out loud, it also gave me plenty of moments to reflect about marriage and parenthood. It made me think about the changes that come with having babies, not just the physical ones but also the kind that affect relationships. Lately, I have been thinking about the interrupted/no sleep periods of motherhood. This book reminded me that there are other challenges that might come along but nothing that can’t be handled.

Tracy Bloom has done it again! She has given life to characters and situations that are relatable. They will make you reflect on different issues. You might find yourself nodding your head, holding your sides laughing or simply smiling. It is that kind of book that takes you on a roller-coaster ride.

I enjoyed every minute that I spent reading No-one Ever Has Sex on Holiday by Tracy Bloom.

Laugh out loud funny.

Katy has organised a package holiday to Spain for her and Ben and the kids, her best friend Daniel from work and his husband Gabriel with their daughter Silvie and Bens best friend Braindead and his wife Abby with their son Logan..what could possibly go wrong?

Katy, Daniel and Abby get speaking to a hen do on the plane and find themselves with an invite to a night out to celebrate Cassie’s forthcoming wedding.

Ollie is staying in the same hotel on his honeymoon after being ditched at the wedding and Ben and Braindead take him under their wing.

The characters are all fun and easy to relate to. The situations they find themselves in whilst all quite crazy could easily really happen.

A perfect holiday read.

Relatable and hilarious! This lives up to the previous books in the series. I love these characters. Some of the situations have you thinking been there, done that. A fast paced, fun read.

Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for a copy of No-one Ever Has Sex on Holiday by Tracy Bloom. Available July 29, this book was hilarious and completely relatable.

About to embark on a family vacation myself, this book was hilariously close to home! All the discussion of travelling with kids and where to eat and how to sleep was spot on and all too real. It is so nice to feel seen and that you aren't the only one who dreads vacationing with children!

Highly recommended if you want a book with heart, humour, and endearing characters.

I found this to be an enthralling, laugh out loud read and great story and it wasn't until I'd finished this book that I discovered it is the fifth in a series so I can honestly say that it works well as a standalone. Three couples - Katy and Ben, Braindead and Abby, Daniel and Gabriel - are off on their first holiday abroad with, between them, their five children. They're off on a 'cheap but cheerful' package holiday to a Spanish resort which has more than its fair share of similar families with children. A recipe for a relaxing holiday this certainly isn't!

On the flight out to Spain the group are joined by Cassie and her hen party ladies and, with the duty free vodka flowing and under the guidance of party organiser and whistle blowing Ruth, so the fun begins! As the holiday commences, differing expectations, relationships, worries and problems are highlighted in this new situation. Most of the problems encountered aren't from the children but from the adults and how they are reacting to being parents. The arrival of the children has impacted on the relationship between their parents in different ways and these are realistically portrayed through this story, with the tension, angst, acting out and expectations resulting in sometimes moving and other times laugh out loud incidents.

The hen party ladies also contribute to the events and bride-to-be Cassie proves to be a lady in a dilemma. There's also Ollie, a man who is on holiday staying in the honeymoon suite at their hotel, but he's there on his own because his long term girlfriend and wife-to-be called off their wedding. As the friends try to keep Abby safe whilst she parties with the hen ladies, Kate endeavours to keep everyone organised and Gabriel proves to be a godsend as he is Spanish and can translate and mediate where necessary - and that's quite often! I'm hoping there's another romance for Ollie planned for the next book in this series - he certainly deserves it after everything he goes through in this one!

There are just so many funny incidents throughout the story and I definitely liked the ending. It is a real page turner that I didn't want to put down until I'd finished it. I now need to find time to go back and read some of the earlier books in this series but, in the meantime, I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending this fantastic story and hope you get to enjoy it as much as I did!

I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it and thoroughly enjoying doing so.

I could not stop laughing as I was reading this book. So funny! So many great lines. I had to purchase all the "holiday" books after this. Great read!

Many thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for ARC. All opinions are my own.

No-one Ever Has Sex on Holiday by Tracy Bloom was fun from start to finish and I breezed through this one pretty quickly. I am a seasonal reader so this was the perfect summery read during these hot July days. This book is part of a series by Tracy Bloom and my second time reading this author. I read No-one Ever Has Sex on Christmas Day and enjoyed it as well. Both work fine as stand alone reads.

The series centers mainly on Katy and her husband Ben. These two have had issues in their marriage before, mostly Katy’s infidelity but they’ve managed to work through their problems and are now balancing work and parenting and married life like so many people are. Also in the mix are their set of friends and in this installment they all go on vacation to Spain together with their young children. The friends who join them are Braindead <-I hate this nickname, and his wife Abby with their son and Daniel and his husband Gabriel come along with their daughter. On the plane over the group meets women who are on a “hen do” a.k.a. a bachelorette party/vacation and they quickly make friends and exchange numbers with these ladies for possible drinking and hanging out later on.

Once at the resort the group struggles with trying to do activities together while keeping everyone happy and also somehow trying to spend couple time together. I’ve vacationed with a group before and it is always a mission trying to stay together and just trying to keep track of anything. Going to dinner as a group plus with young kids is a feat in itself. That can all be very draining so as far as the planning of activities and stress and drama that can arise from going on vacation with a group this story was pretty spot on.

Daniel was my absolute favorite in this one. He is hilarious and I found his character to be insightful as well. He struggles with the guilt of not wanting to be a stay at home dad but he’s happy he’s kept his career and that his husband stays home with their daughter. He ponders at one point on how and when he and Gabriel fell into these traditional roles in their marriage. I wish he had his own book.

As usual in this series, no one has sex in this book. There is just no time and way too much drama going on. The story moves pretty quickly, I laughed plenty and was highly entertained. I always enjoy the writing in these and the turns of phrase from across the pond as well. Cute cover too.

Katy and Ben are married and have two young children. They plan a holiday at a resort in Spain with friends ... Daniel and Gabriel and their young daughter, and Braindead and Ally and their young son.

On the plane from England, Katy, Ally and Daniel meet Ruth who is part of Cassie's bachelorette party. They get invited to some of their partying, which doesn't make some of the people in their group happy since it's supposed to be a family vacation. As Katy gets to know Cassie, she realizes that Cassie doesn't actually want to get married and tries to guide her to make the right decision. The families also meet Ollie, who is on his brideless honeymoon because she dumped him shortly before the ceremony, and they pull them into their circle to help him move on. The three couples had been looking forward to relaxing and recharging and enjoying their spouse's company ... and of course, nothing goes as planned.

This was the fifth book I read by this author and I liked it. Though it is the fifth in the No-One Has Sex series (and the third one I've read), you don't have to read the others to know what's going on. I liked the writing style ... it was a quick light read. It is written in third person perspective with the focus on wherever the action is. The language at times is for mature readers. It's written by an English author with English characters and I didn't, as a Canadian, get some of the English references to people, TV shows, etc.

I look forward to other books in this series.

Katy and Ben + 2 kids plus her colleague Daniel, his husband and their daughter, and Ben's BFF and his wife and their sun, all on holiday for a week in Spain! Who doesn't love a family holiday? Who doesn't already know that a family holiday requires a holiday from your holiday when you get back?

This was advertised as a hilarious summer read and I just didn't get that feeling. I didn't laugh once. I so desperately wanted it to be hilarious because I keep hearing it's amazing. Instead, I didn't really feel invested in any of the characters except maybe Daniel and Gabriel - the only level-headed people on this trip. The men emotionally abusing poor Ollie (you'll meet him at the resort), the typical British hen do attendees (you'll meet them on the plane), a wife and mum who doesn't care about her husband or son because she doesn't get to party anymore, Katy and Ben who parent all the adults and forget to parent their children, and a guy who in his mid-20s, married and a father who still lets his friends and even his wife call him Braindead?! Like, what?! Who were we supposed to finding hilarious? There weren't mishaps, just lots of endless moaning.

I see this is a bit of a series in terms of titles. Bloom has a few other books about No-one Ever Has Sex.... titles. This was my first book by Bloom; I don't know if the others give off the same vibe or if they actually are genuinely hilarious.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

If Katy, Ben and four of their closest friends think a week in Spain is going to be sun, sex and sangria – they can think again!

The 3 families believe they are well prepared for the trials of a summer holiday, but it turns out the kids aren’t the ones playing up.

When the group meet jilted Ollie and unsure bride-to-be Cassie, their dreams for a relaxing on a sun lounger interspersed with some good old-fashioned family time couldn’t be further from reality!

I seem destined to only read every other instalment of this series, number 4 having passed me by, which is a real shame because they are so great! However, due to the easiness of the storylines it isn’t hard to catch up and I never really felt liked I’d missed any huge details, just lots of giggles I’m sure.

In this book we see Katy and Ben join their friends for the first family holiday abroad, kidding themselves from the beginning that they are going to get any R&R. What ensues is far from relaxing, a budget airline flight seated amongst a rowdy hen party, a battle in the restaurant each day and most definitely no sex in the evenings.

All put together this makes for a laugh out loud read. What I love about Bloom, is you know what you’re getting. When I pick up a book by this author, I know I’m going to have a giggle and enjoy wasting a few hours turning the pages to devour the book in one sitting!

Even though this is for the most part a very comical read, it does touch on some more serious issues. Bloom doesn’t go into great depth with this but it’s obvious to the reader there is some suffering with mental health for one of the characters. What I found interesting was that the other characters weren’t alarmed by the behaviour, I think this makes it clear that mental health is so easy to miss.

Thank you to Bookouture for my copy of this book via Netgalley and for letting me take part in this tour. I LOVE this series. I have been following Katy and the gang for a few years now and I was so excited to be back in their world.

The first few chapters catch us up on each of the three couples since the end of the fourth book No-one ever has sex at a Wedding. In this latest chapter, Katy and her friends are going on a package holiday to Spain. I was very shocked when I read that Daniel was joining them as this would totally not be his scene. This, of course, causes much hilarity.

Abby was very irritating in this book. I think that Braindead had a lot more patience than I do. I think rather than being indulged Abby needed sitting down and finding out what was really wrong. I think she was having some real issues that he wasn't picking up on. While Braindead is extremely clever he has been known to miss the things right under his nose.

As usual with these books, there were many laugh out loud moments along with some real heartwarming moments. Katy has a big heart and is always trying to help others which is exactly what happens here.

It was great to introduce two new characters Cassie and Ollie and I hope if this series continues that these two will make an appearance again. They were really fun.

It was a pleasure to return to Katy and the gang. This is an easy book to read, I raced through it in just a few hours. Sadly I was on a very windy, cloudy seafront in England and not a warm, sunny beach in Spain!

I received this book free in exchange for a fair review. This story was thoroughly enjoyable and lighthearted. It made me laugh and I felt it would also be relatable for many readers. Not having kids or gone on a first family holiday with small children I can only imagine that this is what it is like for most families going on holiday as a group for the first time. The descriptions of budget airlines and the types of characters on the plane were very funny and was definitely relatable.

I found the story easy to read and had finished it within a couple of days but could easily have been done in 1 day had I not rudely had plans! Although it amused me I didn’t laugh as much as I have at the other books I have read by Tracy, but I think this is down to not having a physical connection to relate to. This didn’t take away from the story or enjoyment of it however as I could picture these groups and people that I have seen when I have been away on holidays.

The reality of being a parent and especially a new one felt like it was written very well and reflected what I think is a reality for some new parents through the relationship of Abby and Braindead. I related to Abby in that I go on holiday to enjoy myself wanting to go out and party and just lay by the pool through the day. I love my holidays and can be quite selfish with my time and what I want to do when I am away and I got this impression of Abby. However as the story progresses it highlights the struggles she is dealing with as a new mum as well as parts of the other characters struggles with a family holiday. I loved how it was written and the character Daniel was one of my favourites as I could imagine just the type of person he is and the way his character came across was great and made me smile and chuckle quite a few times.

I also loved Cassie and felt her embarrassment and struggle with Ruth who had arranged and was in charge of the hen do. The essence of the hen and stag parties abroad now was captured perfectly I think and had me transported into the book like I was there it gave such vivid picture of exactly what was happening.

I kept trying to work out what I thought would happen and it didn’t go in these directions which was great because it wasn’t predictable and kept me hooked. It was such an easy, fun read I would highly recommend it.
