3 1/2 Stars!

Brody is a NFL player and he became a single dad when his cheating wife was killed in a car accident. His sister hires her friend Amelia to be Lily's nanny. Neither Brody or Amelia expect that the sparks will fly between.

This is a quick steamy read that is very predictable. Although enjoyed it, I was hoping for some unexpected twists and turns.

I received an early copy courtesy of Entangled Publishing through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Fun start to the book and it kept getting better. Lots of humor, laughter, joy, romance and some sizzling heat! A really enjoyable story.

4 stars. This is a new author to me and I will definitely be looking out for her in the future. This is a nice and easy, breezy romance with some added heat and a good storyline. Even though it's not original storyline, it is one I do enjoy and this one is well written and flows nicely and the characters were wonderful and developed nicely. Brody is swoony and a wonderful single dad, but his heart has been jaded. Hiring Amelia (Mia) as his little girl's nanny brings some much needed sunshine into his life although with her comes complication because of how she makes him feel.
I enjoyed Brody and Amelia's story and watching their feelings grow and their dynamic change. I loved their interactions with sweet Lily. Such a wonderful heartwarming ending!

This is quick read where the NFL players falls for his daughter’s nanny. Amelia and Brody have great chemistry, they just have to get over some obstacles. The last 2 chapters makes the book.

More about feeling and less football!

Amelia (Mia) Renshaw has been hired as the nanny for the daughter of quarterback Brody Evans by his sister because of her work with traumatized children and Lily Evans qualifies after her mother was killed in a car crash. Brody didn’t know he had a nanny so they were both surprised at breakfast.

When Mia and Brody are forced to act interact with each other, they find out they actually respect each other and love Lilly and want the best for her. Brody doesn’t want to be in the news like he was after his wife’s death and he knows that dating his nanny would cause a lot of gossip for both of them and he had enough of that. Brody wanted more from Mia but after the disaster of his first wife being unhappy he didn’t want to force her into making a choice about their relationship but Brody lets her know how he feels in a very public way in the book.

The Nanny Rules is more about the feelings between Mia and Brody and less about the football.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sweet ending!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I really enjoyed this book so much. Brody was trying so hard. Heartbroken but mainly angry, he was trying not to take advantage of the pretty young thing.
Amelia was super sweet and an amazing influence to his little girl.
While this book is very predictable in its story, the author did a great job I feel with her character development. The heat level could’ve been a bit better, however. Plus, once we got past all the misunderstandings, it took a very long time for them to truly make a call on their relationship.
It did offer a super sweet ending that really made the story. Overall, a fun enjoyable read of a typical contemporary love story.
The nanny rules is a boss employee sports romance. Amelia is nanny for a beautiful little girl who’s father is an NFL quarterback. He’s lost his wife, his chance at a super bowl and now this year is his chance to get back but coming home from training camp to find a strange woman in his kitchen. Brody can’t stop the attraction or the chemistry he feels when around her but he will have to battle a lot more than his attraction.
They both have nasty pasts that have left them scarred however both have handled those scars differently. It is a sweet book that I seriously enjoyed a lot.
This sports romance is touching and captivating. Brody is a single father who is trying to come to terms with the death of his wife. A wife who betrayed him and as a result has a hard time getting closure with what has happened. In the mean time being a quarterback he has to travel with his team. His sister hires her best friend for the job and Brody is upset. For one he finds himself drawn to Amelia and the more time he spends with her the stronger the bond adheres. Will Amelia be his second chance of finding love? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This book was just ok, I love a little forbidden romance so I was super excited for a chance to read this. Unfortunately fell flat for me, I wish there was alittle more build up until to there all of a sudden attraction to each other then within the first 30 seconds Amelia is ready to drop her pants . I couldnt stand the two of them, they were both so whiny between wanting to be together and then pushing her away back and forth back and forth, was so annoying. Then boom he does something at the end and just seemed so unrealistic and just drove me bonkers.
I will post full review on tour date.
Sorry this book was not for me.
I enjoy sport/romance, however this book was rushed in my opinion. It was predictable. 70% of the book was Brody and Amelia trying to contain their lust for each other.
It has potential and is well written, however it didn't flow in my opinion.
Don’t Mess With The Nanny!!
Brody is a star quarterback dealing with raising a daughter, the loss of his wife (along with her secrets) and trying to get his team to the Super Bowl. He needs a nanny to help with Lily, who is always first on his list, but he doesn’t expect Mia…she looks nothing like Mrs. Doubtfire especially when the first time he sees her she’s in her booty shorts.
Mia is not only the nanny but her background is in phycology and she is trying to help little Lily with her mom’s passing. Brody has given up on love since he was burned so badly by his wife but that doesn’t stop his mind and body from wanting Mia. Only thing is everyone knows that you don’t mess around with the nanny. The chemistry is sizzling. Will all three of them be able to make it out with their hearts in tack?
This was a new to me author that the description of the book intrigued me cause who doesn't love a single dad book but also a nanny romance. It was super cute! I loved Lily, so very cute. You start this book wondering what's going to happen is there a underlying reason to him being a single dad and what is it? I loved this book and will definitely look this author up again to read again.
The two most important things Brody Evans, quarterback for the Browns, values in his life are his daughter and his privacy, especially since his wife’s death (and her secret) was put on blast in the media. One day, he is surprised to find Amelia Renshaw, a beautiful and caring psychologist whom his sister has hired to be his daughter’s nanny, in his home. Brody isn’t sure if he’s more annoyed by her suddenly invading his life or his undeniable attraction to her.
Considering the angsty romance novels I’ve read over the years, this one jumps straight into the angst without much build up. If you’re looking for a smutty story with a broody (and sexy and athletic) hero and a smart albeit dramatic leading lady, this may be a good one for you.
It is a fairly rushed story, so those who tend to gobble up romances like I do could likely finish this on a single day trip to the beach (or hanging by the pool like I did).
I love me some football and would have appreciated a little more action or NFL talk throughout.
Broody Brody is hot and cold, but a good father to his little Lily pad (that is a pretty cute nickname). Mia is a nice lady and I feel like that’s all I can really say? Not much about her stands out to me. When her drug-addicted brother Mason comes into the picture, she lies about him being her brother to Brody, allowing Brody to believe Mason is her ex and I still don’t really understand why.
This is one of those “plant the seeds of doubt” stories where the characters are so deep in their own emotional turmoil that any comment or stray negative thought can lead them to doubt themselves or their feelings. This is what essentially drives the story forward which makes it not so enjoyable. Pryce tried to throw in some curveballs (I thought this was a football story, not baseball!) to create obstacles for the pair, but everything is resolved too easily and neatly in my opinion.
Nothing special, but if you want something steamy that will help you reach your reading goal a little faster, it’s not a total waste of time.
This emotional read had me from the first page. I loved the story of a man who loses his wife and discovers a tragic secret upon her death. Vowing to never love again he's convinced he doesn't need the one thing he's avoiding.
A nanny trying to pay her bills discovers that the job she longs for isn't the one that she's destined to have. Stuck dealing with poor decisions, a horrific childhood and a desire to make something of her life she discovers that love and friendship are priceless.
Promises. Obligations. New beginnings. This has it all. Melynda Price I can't wait to read your next release!
What a fun and sensuous love story! Without his knowledge, Brody Evans’ sister hires a nanny for his young daughter. He arrives home from an away football game and Amelia Renshaw is in his home. As a pro-athlete, he is at first wary of her…and she is hot! Amelia has a master’s degree in Child Psychology and knowing that this is a temporary job, is waiting for the right opening at a university or health clinic. In the meantime, she falls in love with Lily (who is adorable) and begins to know and have feelings for Brody. Brody is still dealing with the issues surrounding the death of his wife and his career demands that he travels. Amelia (or as Lily calls her Mia) is also dealing with a past harmful home situation and was determined to achieve her educational goals. Wonderful characters, humor, sizzling love…everything you want in a beautiful romance. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
What a fun, delicious fast smutty read. very predictable, but what a treat. very easy to read, one of the most common tropes out there today, it was just simple short and sexy.
I love sports romance more than anything, but after several tries, I'm just not able to get into this one. I think this writing style doesn't work for me. There's nothing drawing me in and holding my interest. I am looking for smart, witty banter - but am getting only antagonism and sexual attraction. Going to stop trying to force myself on this one and put it down for good.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review!
I really enjoyed this, which surprised me a little. I don't even know why I was skeptical, but it was a fun read, with just enough cheese!
I am a huge fan of romance novels. I have read A LOT.
The Nanny Rules, however, just didn’t do it for me.
Here’s what I liked: I really like Amelia. She is a strong women who became successful against all odds. Although she wasn’t open with Brody as she should have been and made mistakes, she’s the type of character to admit them and move on. She was relatable and likable.
I also really loved Lily. Lily stole the show for me.
It was a fast, smutty read that I read in less than a day which is always a bonus to me. And the ending was a classic, cheesy romantic finish. I love that.
Here’s what I didn’t love: The plot was predictable. There was no real entertainment or drama.
Brady was a jerk and didn’t have many redeeming characteristics. He doesn’t deserve Amelia.
I felt like Brady and Amelia’s inter dilemmas and open fights were the same...like we kept having the same fight or discussion over and over again...I’m not even 100% sure their issues were resolved.....
