I really enjoy sports-related stories so this book had a lot going for it to start with, but I really liked the way the author developed the characters and set up the whole story. I love Amelia (Mia) and the way she relates with Lily, Brody's 4 year old daughter. Her background as a child's psychologist puts her in the perfect position to help Lily cope with and bounce back from losing her mom and Brody to come to terms with what he dealt with in the past year. Both are hurting and in need of tender loving care. Amelia has a back story with her crazy family that makes her real and believable.

The heat between Mia and Brody is over the top, so if you don't like your story a little spicy then it might not be the right book for you, although I didn't feel that it was all about sex scenes. I liked the struggle that they (Mia and Brody) were put through to try to keep their hands off of each other and Lily was such a cute little gal who already knew how to manipulate people for her own gain.and she really, really, really wants a new mommy. It was fun to have a hands-on dad in the story and I thought the interaction between the 3 main characters was essential to building a believable story line.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest opinion and I am glad to have found a new author to follow.

Sports, Romance, Sexy Heat, Great Book For A Beach Read As It Is A Pretty Light Book.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

By skipping around, I did finish this one. I felt it started off too sudden. We should have had a small introduction before BAM they meet. I also felt this one was a bit too predictable. It had nothing original.
I did enjoy how it ended though. And the little girl was very sweet.

The Nanny Rules was my first book by author Melynda Price. I was super excited to read it based on the sports genre and also the synopsis.
However, I just could not get into it. I will try other books by this author, but unfortunately this one didn't work for me.

This book was ok. It was a little too quick of a read for me, a little longer than a novella, but too short for a full-length novel. I liked the characters and Lily was so sweet but the book opened as if the reader had already known what was going on with the characters. Or at least that's how it felt to me. It seemed like the beginning was missing two or three chapters.

Predictable ⭐️

The Nanny Rules is a fast smutty read, only for those of you who normally enjoy an easy-romance.
It’s one of the most common tropes out there, so you’ll see where the story goes before reading it. I felt like I could have written it myself, just because there was no element of surprise and every action or dialogue was predictable.

If you refrain for judging the characters and the plot, you will definitely enjoy it. Take it as a guilty pleasure and leave it at that. I don’t think there’s a way of writing a masterpiece on this subject, so don’t set your expectations too high.

All in all, I enjoyed it. :) It wasn’t a waste of time reading it and to tell you the truth, I felt the heat of their sex scenes. ☺️

Feel like I have read this story before but cannot remember the name of author or the work. Well anyway we have a grieving man with a daughter Lily. When Amelia arrives as Lily's nanny; Brody has trouble forming a relationship with Mia even though his daughter tells him to go for it. Characters and story with a Hallmark appeal. A copy of this book was provided by Entangled via NetGally with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

Romances about nannies are a dime a dozen and I have read some really great ones and some really not great ones. Melynda Price is a new to me author so I went into this book with no real expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Brody is an NFL player who lost his wife a year ago and has no intention of hiring a nanny at all, muchless one he to whom he is instantly attracted. Amelia is trying to live her past behind her while figuring out the next step towards her future in child psychology. They both care deeply for Brody's daughter Lily and have great chemistry with each other. They just need to decide if that is enough of a foundation on which to try to build a relationship. There is no over the top drama in this book which some people may find boring but I found refreshing. I would definitely read another book by this author.

I enjoyed this book. I'm a sucker for sports romances and this was just enough for me. I didn't see too much character development but nonetheless, it was a quick, fun read.

Thank you NetGalley, Melynda Price and Entangled Publishing for and Arc of the nanny rules. I have seen and read a lot of books with the don't fall for the nanny trope but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised by this book. I love a good sports romance too so it was fun that he was in the NFL.
Brody is an NFL player and single father to Lily. When his sister goes behind his back and hires Amelia to be the nanny. What he doesn't expect is to be so attracted to her but lily loves her so he has to keep his hands off... or does he?
I really enjoyed this book because the chemistry between Brody and Amelia was on fire. I thought the story was well written and enjoyed their progression as the story continued. This was my first book by Melynda Price and I can't wait to check out more.

This one didn’t do anything for me. It wasn’t bad it was just one note. Nothing too exciting, no big drama. If it wasn’t for Lilly the story would have been really boring.

This is Amelia and Brody‘s book, Brody is a single father to a beautiful little daughter named Lily. And he’s an NFL football player. But when his meddling sister hires a nanny without his knowledge he’s not thrilled when he comes home to find some strange woman has taken over his house! But my daughter loves Amelia so he’ll do anything to keep the nanny! Amelia is running from her life! She has so many screwed up problems that she just needed to get away and she took a great job as a nanny for a beautiful little girl! I was pleasantly surprised at this book, it was a really good decent read! It was definitely steamy, it had a little bit of angst to it, and just an all-around good book! I definitely recommend reading this one don’t miss out! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I received an advanced reader's copy of The Nanny Rules by Melynda Price from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first novel that I had read by Melynda Price so I really had no expectations, but after reading, she is an author I would look for in the future.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel and I found it to be well written. The primary characters' romantic start was explosive from the beginning (she was a surprise nanny and he wasn't keen on a stranger - an attractive stranger, at that - being around his child) and just got warmer from there. I enjoyed the well crafted characters and the pacing of the novel. The plot moved along steadily and the plot surprises kept me engrossed from start to finish.

All in all, a good read!

Cute book. Very fast read. Not real deep into a plot but then again it’s not here for that. Good flow to the story.

I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. Brody gets the shock of his life when he finds a scantily dressed Amelia in his kitchen caring for his daughter. Having survived a betrayal before by women he’s in no mood to deal with the beautiful nanny but Amelia’s love and care for his daughter wins her over. While their relationship was quite fast and they both had personal struggles acting as road blocks their relationship could not be denied. This was a nice quick read but seemed a little too quick at some times. The characters were nice and little Lily was adorable. 4 stars

This was an enjoyable and well writtend romance between a widower and his nanny. MIa takes care of Brody's daughter while he is at work. He is an nfl player and so she is only working there during the football season. He lost his wife almost a year before in a car accident. Mia is a phychologist graduate who is hired to take care of his daughter and the three form a family.

This isnt really a forbidden romance even though its a nanny/boss type of relationship. Its more about Brody being afraid to love again because his wife destroyed his heart and him feeling that Mia deserves something better than him.

It was a fun romance with some hot scenes and some fun jealousy thrown into the story.

Loved this book. I'm a sucker for forbidden nanny/parent romances.
This one didn't disappoint. Brody and Mia both have bad pasts and come together and form a relationship. I also love Brody as a dad. This was a first read of this author for me and I loved it. Their chemistry is off the charts! Hope to read more from this author.

Who wouldn’t want to be a nanny to a very handsome single dad? Oh, did I mention, he is also a NFL quarterback. Sign me up. Unfortunately, Amelia will have her hands full with helping both, Brody and his daughter Lily, heal from a devastating loss. As the two heal, Brody’s walls come down and opens to a possible future with Amelia, but she is running from a past. A past that resurfaces and both need to learn to trust. Loved reading this book, it was an amazing read of healing and finding that second love.

Brody just has no boundaries, "...and I don’t even try to hide the grin on my face as I hold up her fire-engine– red panties, letting them dangle off my finger. “I think you forgot something.” Brody's coach knows how to strong arm him, “Bring her to the charity auction. Better yet, dinner. My place. "tomorrow night. I’ll have Mary make something special.” Before I can respond, Coach comes around the desk and offers me his hand. When I take it, he yanks me into a back-slapping hug. “It’s settled, then. I’m looking forward to meeting her.” I liked this book, I liked Brody.
