Ms. Ryan weaves a tale about romance, pain, evil, angst, salvation, love and family.
Mackenzie Monroe once found three angry orphans intent on robbing him in his home shortly after losing his wife and son in an accident. That night proved to be the salvation for the boys and for Mac.
The boys grew up. Ben and Sam's stories are written in previous books in this series. If you haven't read them yet, I can highly recommend them as wonderfully engrossing family as well as love stories.
Finn Monroe is a lawyer as well as a rancher, modeling his career after Zachariah, a lawyer his father Mac had adopted into his family.
Jessica Blair comes to Finn desperate for help to find her aunt, since her case did not fit the parameters necessary for police intervention. He took her case skeptically, but as events unfolded, he came to believe her fully and moved to protect her.
This story has a truly evil villain, some less than stellar characters, and a bunch of honest, good christian people who came to Finn's ans Jessica's aid. The Monroe family is one that makes one heart glad and one that I would love to have for a neighbor.
Ms. Ryan's characters and scenes are so well defined that it played like a movie in my mind as I read it. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves cowboys, intrigue, romance or good family values.
I requested a NetGalley ARC as soon as I saw it was available and loved it. I hope it's not the last one in the series, I'd like to happy endings for all the men in this family.

***Born to Be A Cowboy centers around a missing person investigation, a slick conman, a strong ranching family and, of course, a budding romance. The hero is a lawyer who has three brothers and two sisters-in-law. The heroine only has her missing aunt. While the story is a clever one, parts of it frustrated this reader, as supposedly smart characters acted in dumb ways. One example of this is unprotected sex... a totally unacceptable act in today’s climate. Emotions often overcame reason, but to detail would give spoilers. Things I liked were the strong family bonds even though the three siblings were adopted and the ranching community setting. The mystery/thriller elements were written in a way that kept this reader engaged in finishing the book. Overall this is an enjoyable read, just often one that made this reader shake her head and walk away from the story for a little while. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley.

BORN TO BE A COWBOY by R. C. Ryan is a five 🌟 read so sure! I loved the stories of the three young boys finding their home with Mac. This book told the story of Finn and Jessie. Told with some twists and turns the suspense made the story one very hard to put down!

This is the third installment in a series about three young runaway boys, adopted and raised by a rancher. You don't have to read the other two first but it sure helps as each story involves all the characters so you get the complete back story.

This story has it all...danger, intrigue, intensity and finally, love. Each and every character has good points and high moral standards. Each one is successful in their own right. This one really points out the importance of family and how they stick together.

Best of all.... storylines that were carried from one book to the next we're all wrapped up and nothing left to the imagination. Each of the men and women got their HEAs 👍.

This book was gifted to me by the author and NetGalley in return for an honest review.
