This was a great little heartwarming romance story. It would make a great hallmark movie perfect for the Christmas season. The characters were likable, the story was cute, there was a good bit of humor and it just really kept you engaged and turning the pages. Very well done! |
As usual Nancy Naigle has captured my heart with her story. I would recommend anything she has written to anyone who will listen. Her stories grab hold of you and leave you wanting more and more. I always look forward to a new release. |
This book screamed “Hallmark Christmas movie” and that’s just what I love! I enjoyed the storyline of Liz buying an inn in an auction that needed some renovation, and following in the footsteps of her grandparents. A wonderful romance ensues and this heartwarming story was a perfect Christmas read! |
It is impossible to read this novel and not be ready to decorate your house, sing Christmas carols, and have hot cocoa! I love a good Christmas story and this is one of my favorites. I could read it year after year! |
I enjoyed this Christmas romance, that was also about community, friends, helping others and following your dreams. When Liz Westmoreland stumbles upon a listing auctioning off her grandparent's inn in Angel's Creek, she takes a risk and places a bid. She wins the auction and her dream of running the inn seems like it is about to come true. When she gets there she finds the property in significant disrepair, and is not sure if she will be able to make her dream come true after all. Matt Hardy grew up in Angel's Creek and is also bidding on the inn. He narrowly loses the auction, but is thrilled when he finds out that Lizzie, his childhood friend is the one who bought the inn and wants to make a go of it. Of course, being a Nancy Naigle Christmas story, you know there will be a happily ever after, but the path to it is not smooth. There is a little angst, due to a misunderstanding, a lot of bumps in the road to getting the inn back on it's feet and a lot of family, friends and community members that pitch in to restore Angel's Rest to it's past glory. I loved this story, it is what the Christmas Spirit is all about. I don't know if this one has been made into a Hallmark movie yet, but it needs to be done if it hasn't. I definitely recommend this one. |
If you love a good Christmas romance this is for you. One of Lizzie's fondest memories is time's spent with her grandparents at their inn. Recently, it has come up for auction. Not thinking she bids on it and wins. Matt, is worried about who bought it till he sees Lizzie bought it.. Christmas, rehabbing an old house, fun enduring town folk leed to a great read. |
This was the sweetest book! It should be made into a Hallmark movie! I loved all of the characters and it is such a tribute to small town living! It is a "feel good" book and I am so glad to have been able to read it! Thank you, Net galley and the publisher! |
Christmas Angles is a great holiday read. The description of the location was amazing I could breath in the scent and almost taste the fresh air while reading it. I can not wait for Christmas time after reading this book made my heart warm. |
Every time I read one of Nancy Naigle's Christmas stories it's like watching it come to live on a screen in my head. Christmas Angels is beautifully written with amazing characters and a story that will touch your hear and get it pumping. |

Liz Westmoreland has always dreamed of owning her grandparents' inn someday. When she sees a similar one for an auction, she buys it without seeing its current condition. When she drives to Angel's Creek, she realizes that it need a lot of work to make it running. She hires Matt Hardy as a contractor and most of the book is about the renovation of the inn. It is a sweet story with all the town's people helping her bring back Angel's Rest. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC. |
A wonderful read with charming characters and an engaging plot!! I look forward to reading more by this author. |
Liz Westmoreland has great memories of her grandparents’ inn, so when she has the opportunity to buy it at auction, she cannot resist the trip down memory lane. However, upon visiting, she realizes it is not the same inn she remembers, and a whole lot of work will be needed to restore it. Luckily, Matt Hardy is available to help throughout the holiday season (and in the process, win her heart, thanks to a childhood crush). Nancy Naigle’s Christmas Angels is a sweet, Hallmark-y kind of Christmas story. It all happens a little easily, but I still had fun with Liz and Matt—and the town that circles around them. It is perfect to read under a cozy blanket and with a warm beverage in hand this time of year, so if you’re in need of a quick, cute read, this could it. |
The perfect holiday cozy read. This one is about family and small towns and following our dreams and of course some romance stirring.... perfect holiday read from USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle. Loved it |
I want to thank netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Gosh. This book hit me in the feels. The first thing I thought when I finished it was that it was perfect for a Hallmark movie. I mean it hit all the checkboxes. Small town? Check. Restoring an inn? Check. Handsome man with dog. Check and check. Wholesome romantic scenes? Check. I loved all of the characters in this story, even the side characters. I was pleased to see that side characters got a good amount of page time and had their own personalities. I was also pleased to see that our main guy Matt respected Liz' ideas and intelligence, and the slow burn romance between them. |
While Christmas Angels has a wonderful cover and sounds interesting it just isn't for me. If you have enjoyed it I would love to know if it is something that I should give another shot. |

I loved this Christmas romance story. It had wonderful characters and a great story. It was sweet and light hearted and uplifting. The perfect book to get your Christmas spirit going! |
Charming, Heartwarming Christmas Romance If you enjoy the Hallmark (and Hallmark-style) heartwarming Christmas specials, this book will remind you so much of those. While it is predictable, it's the cozy, joyful holiday kind of predictable; the author makes our H & h relatable ones that we can’t help but root for. Our heroine fulfills a lifelong dream of running an inn by actually buying her grandparents inn at auction. But she did it sight unseen, just relying on happy memories, so she wasn't prepared for its run-down condition. Luckily the hero, a neighbor, agrees to help. He'd had a crush on her when they were younger and she visited her grandparents at the inn. This is a delightful slow-burn romance. If you enjoy holiday romances that deliver the predictable but charming feels, this book will be right up your alley. |

Christmas Angels is the newest Christmas story from Nancy Naigle. I wanted to read this story as soon as it hit my kindle, but I needed to get a little closer to Christmas to be in the right frame of mind. I love Ms. Naigle has written Christmas stories over the past few years, and I always look forward to her newest sweet and emotional Christmas story each year. I loved Liz Westmoreland from the moment she appeared on the page. She is such a strong woman, who knows exactly what she wants out of life and has worked hard for years so she can finally live her dream of owning her grandparents' former inn Angel's Rest. However, after arriving, she quickly realizes there is way more work needed than she had anticipated. Luckily, Matt Hardy is back in Antler Creek and is the perfect person to help Liz with her dreams. I have to say I absolutely loved that Matt had a huge crush on Liz when they were kids and she would come to visit her grandparents. After learning about Matt's background with his most recent ex, I really worried about him giving Liz enough of a chance as she was also from the city, but I was so glad I was wrong about how Matt would act. I loved the fact that Matt and Liz totally were friends first, even though they both felt an attraction to each other. I also absolutely loved the townspeople of Antler Creek. Seriously made me miss my own small town hometown as I grew up in a town where neighbors helped each other all the time just to help out. I had all the happy sighs while reading Christmas Angels. Christmas Angels is another winner from Nancy Naigle. As with so many of her other Christmas stories, I absolutely feel like I'm living in a Hallmark Christmas movie, and I love every single minute of each story. I adore Nancy's voice in each new book and highly suggest her books to romance fans who love sweet and emotional stories. Rating: 5 Stars (B+) |
If ever there was a book that deserved the description “feel-good,” this is it. Also, highly satisfying. It’s a pretty predictable, Hallmark-movie-sequel plot, but it just made me feel so warm and fuzzy. First of all, this idyllic little town where Liz buys her grandparents’ old lodge. It’s cute and EVERYONE there is as nice as can be. Whether it’s people who adore Liz’s grandparents and so love her by default or people who are just genuinely kind small-town folks, everyone treats her like she’s one of the family. Second, I am a to-do list person, so when Liz and Matt had their major planning session to fix up the lodge, and they each walk away with a solid to-do list, and then Liz especially just starts cranking out tasks and marking stuff off her list right and left, I was in productivity heaven. Like I said, the plot and romance were super predictable, but it made me happy, so I didn’t care. There were also lessons learned about the spirit of Christmas and the joy of serving others. This was probably a 3 1/2, but I bumped it up to a 4 for the warm happiness it brought to my soul. |
