Incredibly delightful and such a whimsical premise for a story. I loved every minute of it. It’s the perfect book in my opinion. 5/5 stars

Every once in a while a story comes along which really makes you appreciate all you have. This is a a story about having it all and then rethinking about what comes after. At times an emotional read but thoroughly well written and thoughtful. I loved and understood all of the characters and would be extremely happy to live within such a wonderful and caring community.

Really wonderful christmas story. Full of charm, romance, great characters, and magic settings this book will get you in the mood to put your christmas tree up early, it did me anyway. Lovely story, i would really recommend it.

Christmas is a magical, beautiful, wonderful time of year.  

However due to this assumption from various media outlets. Become increasingly stressful for nearly everyone. 

We rush around grabbing millions of presents. Mostly things that people don’t really want or need. 

We get in mass amount of food and alcohol. That we do not consume in the one day that the shops are all closed 

We stress and put too much on ourselves to get this version of Christmas that people say we have to have just because that is what is done. 

We forget about what the season is all about. 

We forget that he planet is in dire straits and the last thing that it needs is us making millions amount of food waste, rubbish and plastic waste that we don’t and certainly the planet doesn’t needing adding to the problem. 

Instead why don’t we go back tl the way things were before. Let’s remember the reason for the season and take he pressure off ourselves, worry less, shop less, buy less, but a present that you know that they will absolutely adore, something that you can do together instead of something that will get broken, washed or thrown away. 

Let’s do what the characters in this book do and remember that Christmas is about falling in love, spending it with the ones that we love and spending quality time together celebrating the live that we have for one another and how lucky we all are to have each other in this incredibly difficult world. 

Let’s change what we are used to and like the characters in this book fall in love with this wonderful season once again.

This book is full of family and how people can overcome disappointment and sadness. Your heart will really feel for the main character Lucy and you will fall in love James - it's a great story! Will definitely be looking out for more books by Ellen Berry.

When Lucy discovered Rosemary Cottage was for sale, she envisioned moving into the house she loved as a child, starting a B and B with her husband and children and living happily ever after. Of course happily ever after only happens in fairy tales as Lucy discovers when she raising her children and running the B and B on her own a year later.Things are so difficult, so dire, she fears that after this winter, she and the children will have to leave Rosemary Cottage forever.
