This book was REALLY. good. I sat here reading all the affirmations and reading the small stories and related to almost every single one. Some of them I say to my husband and some of them I really, really need to work on doing more.

I am grateful for the chance to read this book and apply it to my every day life with my husband who I've been married to for almost 10 years. It's been rocky sometimes and I honestly think that if I said more of these things to him, maybe it would help.

This book is encouraging, uplifting, gives 100 ideas on how to encourage your husband I will definitely be buying it and telling my friends about it.

While I don't generally disagree with being nice and respectful to your spouse, this book somehow feels like it's a manual for a 1960s housewife. Examples of some advice included:

- tell your husband he is handsome
- thank him for fixing things around the house
- tell him you are there to listen if he needs it
- tell him he is your hero

In theory, there isn't really much wrong with making your husband feel loved but, please, what century are we in?

I loved how this book sets out ways you can use the affirmations! Although I'm not married, I am in a relationship that I hope will lead to a marriage. It's an informative read that reminds us to not take our partner for granted when life gets in the way.

This book would be great for any wife in any stage of marriage. Sometimes in our busy lives, we forget to say those things that we should, and I love having this book as a reminder to look at the wonderful things my hubby does for me, and to actually tell how much he’s appreciated. The author is on target with this book. I may be giving some of these as gifts. too.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

100 Words of Affirmation Your Husband Needs to Hear
By Lisa Jacobson
First off let’s level and start with marriage is hard. Each stage of marriage brings about different challenges and as we grow in life the goal is to grow together in marriage. That is not always a given or an easy feat. I work entirely different than my husband and as life’s little bumps enter our life our instincts pull us different directions. It is important to acknowledge this and be intentional about stepping out of our shoes and into our spouses. I struggle with this and I was greatly encouraged by this book and how it brought simple thoughts to light. I need to show my husband love in my actions and words. This is not to puff him up but to encourage him, to love him. Lisa gives simple yet impacting words for wives to give to our husbands. It doesn’t have to be complicated or long-winded but simple genuine words of truth. Whether you are feeling the truth of the sentiments or not they can still be said and maybe needed to be said to restore or heal your relationship. I don’t always realize how my words affect my marriage but when I take the time to slow down and hear my words, I see how they can set the stage for my relationship. Our words can go a long way in making our marriage better or worse. Lisa encourages us to build each other up with words of love.
I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion shared here.

In 100 Words of Affirmation Your Husband Needs to Hear, author Lisa Jacobson gives practically advice to women seeking to show their husbands love and respect. The 100 words are actually 100 phrases, like “Saying yes to marrying you is the best decision I ever made,” “You are the best man I know,” and “You are a big success in my book.” Jacobson shares from personal experience and the experiences of others, showing how these simple phrases and others like them can literally turn marriages around. While most of us probably believe these things about our husbands, we more than often fail to verbalize these very things that our husbands long to hear. Jacobson helps wives realize the difference their words of affirmation make and how they sink down deep into our husbands’ hearts. Jacobson certainly helps wives be more intentional when it comes to affirming their man. It’s a highly practical book packed with everyday wisdom.

Note: I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for this honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

100 WORDS OF AFFIRMATION YOUR HUSBAND NEEDS TO HEAR is written a down-home and friendly fashion. Each entry is a short headline followed by a paragraph or short personal story to illustrate the concept. Many are bible-based, timeworn, and homespun pearls of wisdom.

Mostly they are reminders to turn on the sweetness and honey for your honey and be a good girl. There’s a reason you chose him and you want to remind him every day.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via NetGalley, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Unfortunately after being married, maybe even after a few years or maybe after a many few years, partners start to take their significant other for granted. More than likely not even meaning too, but life gets crazy and then add in the distraction of trying to raise decent little human beings you just try and survive. This book is such a great little read and made me open my eyes to all the little things that I’m so thankful my husband does and that I need to verbalize my appreciation.

This is a good, small book full of ideas of words to affirm your husband. They seem simple but we often forget that our words encourage!

What a great, practical and helpful book! I previously reviewed the set of these books for the wife (even though I’m a wife) and I’ve been so eager to get my hands on the ones for loving your husband! These lived up to the same level as the other books and are ones I would easily recommend to any married couple no matter the season of life!

Absolutely loved this read, such good advice as it is sometimes so easy to take for granted the small things our spouses do for us without us even asking. Thank you for your words. This will be a read I go back to time and time again!

This is a really nice quick book to read that would be amazing as a affirmation of the day calendar . Each word of affirmation is one page and it gives you some reasoning of why this is great to do. I think this book opened my eyes to things I was doing right and also not doing.

This book is full of great reminders of the things husbands need to hear from their wives. It really helped me to keep them at the top of my mind and say them more to my husband. I committed to try and say at least one per day to him. There was one time I thought he was close to tears after I said some of these affirmations tweaked to our particular lives and situations. It was a blessing to me and my husband.

I loved this book, it’s one that I’ll keep going back to. Easy to read, with short chapters so you can pick up whenever you have some free time. It’s really down to earth and doesn’t expect you to be the “perfect” wife. It’s a nice read, honest and filled with all the things that you’ve thought about your husband at some time but don’t always tell him. With busy lives it’s easy to forget about the things you appreciate. Lovely book. Thank you to NetGalley for my copy. I will look out for more by Lisa Jacobson

I love this book, it’s simple and practical. A new perspectiv for the other gender. We can easily send the wrong message just because we don’t know what our better half expects from us. This book brings a light on the things your spouse needs to hear.
