If I'm being honest, I was pretty certain that I wouldn't end with any desire to read either Cowboy Christmas Redemption or Rancher's Wild Secret by Maisey Yates when I requested the sampler. But, I'm a huge fan of samplers in general simply because they offer an opportunity to check out books with no obligation to actually finish them if you decide it's really not for you.
In the case of both these romance novels, I will freely admit that reading the sampler didn't garner much interest for me. They weren't bad, exactly, but they're definitely not my kind of reads. I'm not into the cowboy stuff or the farm stories (though I've read a few that I enjoyed in the past) and romance simply isn't my genre.
If romance is your genre, however, and you enjoy farm settings you'll probably really like these.

I love Maisey Yates, and have read her books from the very beginning. I’m now going to download the full books after this sample!

loved these samplers they made me want to go out and buy the books, which i did.
Thank you netgalley and harlequin for allowing me to read them.

Great intro to Maisey Yates. I have read several of her books and have found them enjoyable reads. Her books contain romance, great families and fun. Very enjoyable books.

I love Maisey Yates. She writes really great, fun romances. I loved this sampler, and I downloaded the books to read the full versions because I was so excited.

A nice glimpse of two of Yates' upcoming books.
Cowboy Christmas Redemption
Caleb Dalton fell in love with Ellie Bell the day he met her. Too bad she was always fated to marry his best friend, the eminently better man. But her husband died fighting fires and now Caleb is Ellie's rock and his family is helping her to raise the daughter her husband barely knew she was carrying. Without him, Ellie would have been lost. But now she's finally starting to come back to life, to feel as if she deserves something more. She's got a new job and she's ready to start dating. Or at least have sex.
Came out September 24th
Rancher's Wild Secret
Holden McCall finally has the last piece needed for his plans and it involves Emerson Maxfield. The beauty wants nothing more than to earn her father's love but Holden thinks she should be working toward something more...

I really enjoyed both samples. It was my first taste of Maisey Yates and it definitely made me want more! I really look forward to continuing with Cowboy Christmas Redemption! I’m going to try to binge through the whole series so I can read this newest one around the holidays this year. It already had me hooked on the characters. With Rancher’s Wild Secret I wasn’t quite as attached yet, but I definitely want to find out what’s going to happen next, especially being a new series. I don’t normally like major secrets in books but I don’t mind this one so much. Can’t wait to read more of both of these books!

I loved it and would be very interested in reading the whole book. Not sure I’d want to read a sampler again. I prefer when the author provides the whole book

Be prepared! The ‘Tis the Season sampler by Maisey Yates will reel you in and ensure that if you haven’t read any previous books by this author, you will definitely be sourcing more in the future. Two wonderful stories in one book, that will make the heart flutter and bring home the true spirit of the festive season with hope and happiness. I’m sure readers will be smitten with these engaging stories as much as I was.

Remind me not to ask for samplers again--both books teased the heck out of me, and I already have the Netgalley ARC for Cowboy Christmas Redemption and now I can't wait to read the complete novel. Alas, I'm behind schedule on ARCs, (3 surgeries for me, a stroke and cancer for my husband) and so now I am trying like mad to catch up. Rancher's Wild Secret also piqued my interest like crazy. I love Maisey (we've met in person and have become Facebook friends), and I love her books, so my overall 4-star rating for the sampler will most likely end up being 5-star reviews..

I did like this book. I would recommend his book.
Review given honestly and freely after receipt of a reader copy. This opinion is completely my own and was not influenced in any way. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher.

I found this to be distracting and a put off to reading her books. I love Maisy Yates, but I got into the story only to stop and want more. So I didn't continue to read the other samples as I have things I can read now without waiting.

Both stories included in the sampler seem interesting, but both excerpts were really too brief to write much more. To be honest, I won’t agree to review sampler’s in the future, as there really doesn’t seem to be much purpose to them.

This was a sample few chapters of a couple of the author's books. I would certainly purchase either of them and I enjoyed her writing style and they were well written. I wanted to know what happened to the characters, so I will definitely be checking her book list out.

I knew I shouldn't have picked up this sampler! I don't want to wait for these books to be released. Especially the first one. It started out just breaking my heart, but I see so much potential for a beautiful happy ending! The second, so far it's not my usual, but definitely intriguing. I've only read one book by this author before, so when I came across this, I thought I'd check out her other work.
