I read Teresa Driscoll's last book, I Am Watching You and I absolutely was captivated by it so I knew that I had to read I Will Make You Pay. Teresa has a way of grabbing the reader in the first several pages and never letting them go. Once I get started in one of her books I have to keep reading until I finish.
Wednesdays have turned into nightmares for Alice. She has become the victim of a stalker who only plans his attacks for Wednesday. As you read the story flips from Alice, her private investigator that she has hired, and an unknown male. These three guide you through the hunt as to who is ding this to Alice. You may think you have it figured out but I feel certain you will not guess what is coming. This one will throw you for several loops so hold on tight! This was a great and quick read that I would highly recommend.

Journalist Alice Henderson has a stalker. And she is scared. No wonder, he is making some serious threats - but only on a Wednesday. We get flashbacks to the life of a young boy in a high rise flat living with his grandmother. What happens to the young boy on a Wednesday night while his gran is at work? And what is the connection to Alice in the present day? Who is he? How does he fit with the story? I alternated between thinking he was one of two men in the story, I worked out why Alice was targeted, but not by whom! Alice is clearly a trusting, naive person when we learn all that has gone on in her past, and very loving as we see her relationship with her mother and sister. Private Investigator Matthew Hill, is clearly missing life in the Police Force and has a great working relationship with former DI colleague Melanie who is racing to solve the crime before her maternity leave. His stories of life with a 2 year old adds reality and light relief.

Received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
It’s an entertaining book told from multiple POV and jumps between past and present.
Kept my attention at least

I loved this book. A fairly quick read, it had a number of unexpected twists that kept me reading long past my bedtime. And a great final twist at the end that definitely caught me off-guard. Well done Ms. Driscoll, well done.

I love a good thriller and this was that for sure. Phone calls that lead to fear that lead to danger. No one seems to be able to help or even find the culprit.
I enjoyed this book so much and look forward to many more by this author. It kept me turning the pages and guessing. Great characters and the plot was unbelievable. It’s told so well and is just an all around good book from start to finish.
Another great thriller.
Thank you #NetGalley for this book. This is my own honest review.
A give it 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good thriller.

The publisher provided me with the opportunity to read this in exchange for providing feedback. (via NetGalley)
This author writes well and it was an engaging read. I had suspicions on who may be the stalker Be towards the end but I still enjoyed the read

I loved this book, when I first started reading I thought it would be easy to guess "who dun it" but it took me right to the end for the shocking revel. This book was very well written the chapters were of a good size and it was easy to follow the characters. The size of the book was just right each chapter told part of the story. I will definitely be picking up another book from this author. Thank you netgalley.

This was a crazy great psychological thriller. Excellent character development with so many dark twists and turns. The suspense built perfectly through the book. Really had me hooked from the first intense chapter.
Very well done. Highly recommend.
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of this interesting suspense/thriller. Alice, a newspaper reporter, soon dreads Wednesdays after realizing someone is out to get her, or at least threaten her on a weekly basis. This well-written novel gives you just enough possible male suspects to keep you guessing right up until the last few chapters, along with giving the reader several chapters from the suspect's early years and what makes him tick (and why he hates Wednesdays.)
Enjoyable read!

This story is told from three points of view. Alice, the journalist who is being stalked, Matthew a private investigator employed by Alice's boyfriend to find the stalker and an unknown person "Him" who we assume is the stalker. I thought this was an enjoyable and easy read and didn't guess who "Him" was till near the end of the book. However, looking back there were a few clues early on in the story which I didn't pick up at the time!

This book was just OK it was slow going for me while it did keep my interest there was some thing's I felt could have been left out and made it shorter

Every Wednesday, Alice (a newspaper reporter) receives a threatening phone call from an unknown person. Eventually, bad things start to happen to her, but only on Wednesdays. Her boyfriend hires a private investigator to help the police figure out who is harassing her. Who is this awful person and why do they only act on Wednesdays?
For me, this book was just ok. I’ve read other books by this author and loved them. I did not see the ending coming and it wasn’t easily predictable. It was a good story but I just didn’t care that much about the characters. I didn’t feel like I needed to get back to this book to keep reading. I think other people might really like it, but it was just ok for me.
Thank you #netgalley for an advanced copy of this book.

what an enjoyable thrilling story. didn't figure out what was really going on so i had to keep on reading and reading!
in the end i was blown away!
this is what a real psychological thriller is all about for me!
thank you #netgalley and #teresa driscoll for this arc

This was really enjoyable. It's one of those books where you are reading what's going on, but for some reason you think there might be something else lurking in the background, something that maybe you aren't being told. I really love that feeling. And I like having that feeling whether it comes true or not. Do author's somehow do that on purpose? This was also a very fast read which really helped keep up the thriller vibe. It was also interesting to read the author lived through a similar experience (on a much smaller scale) which told me the emotions and reactions were probably pretty spot on.

Every Wednesday, like clockwork, terror. It seems like an ordinary Wednesday until the phone rings with a threat. Journalist Alice Henderson hangs up and is ready to dismiss it as a hoax clearly spooked but the following Wednesday the stalker makes another move.
As the weeks pass, always a Wednesday ? Alice and her family are in the sights of a stalker she's being targeted - BUT WHY?
Her boyfriend Tom hires a private investigator ex Police officer Matthew Hill to watch over Alice and he discovers a big secret from her past. Is this the reason why she is being stalked? Told by two narratives, Alice and the mystery Stalker this is a fast paced, thriller that you will leave you shocked at the end.
Matthew and DI Melanie Sanders work together the pressure escalating have they arrested the right person? or is the Stalker getting closer? This was my first Teresa Driscoll book, it wont be my last. Aparantely reoccurring characters are included from previous novels but I didn't feel this and it can be read as a standalone.
My favourite kind of book, psychological thriller, fast pace and great believable characters.

I couldn't put this down until I had finished it. Very easy to read and lots of plot twists and turns.
Alice is a journalist and somebody is after her. Her stalker strikes only on Wednesdays. Even after hiring a private investigator they are no nearer to capturing the criminal who is hounding her. The police can only help so much. Is time running out for Alice?.
A really enjoyable read. My first Teresa Driscoll book. I would definitely recommend this to my teens.

Alice works for a local newspaper as a journalist, a rather humdrum job, until Wednesday when she get a threatening phone call. It unnerves her, but it is not until the following Wednesday when a package arrives and then Alice really feels threatened. She begins to worry what will happen the following Wednesday as she realizes that whomever is doing this, is targeting her and as he seems to know her every move, that he must also be stalking her, so her boyfriend hires a private investigator to watch after Alice.
The story flows nicely and the characters are well described. There are 3 main characters and the story unfolds as we learn each of their backstories.

I really liked this book, it kept me interested from the very first page. The different stories (Him, Alice's backstory, her mother, etc) all gave it a really nice touch and added a lot to the overall story. After reading this i would love to check out the authors other work!

Another fantastic read. This author gets me hooked everytime. I was totally sucked in by the story. Literally couldn't put it down. Absorbed by the characters and felt very emotional in places. Loved it.

Alice is a journalist. When a crank call comes through to the newspaper office she is a bit shaken up but not unduly shaken. However the next Wednesday there is another call. An altered voice threatens "I will use cheese wire on you"- this does shake her up & she also realises that other odd things have happened lately- also on a Wednesday. Her boyfriend, Tom, engages Matthew Hill an ex-policeman now a PI to protect her. Things escalate & Alice becomes more fearful- who is out to get her & why?
The story is told from Alice's point of view & of an abused child who hated Wednesdays. It took me a long while to connect with Alice so that is maybe why I wasn't so invested in her story for quite a lot of the book,( I did love Matthew Hill- such a kind person!) The ending was a bit predictable but overall it was a good read. Thanks to Netgalley & the publishers for letting me read & review this book
