Tissue alert! Sarah and Mia are sisters and also best friends. Both women couldn't be more different in personality, temperament, parenting and marriage/family status. Each of them has a daughter; Sarah has 7-year-old Izzy who never gives her a problem while Mia has 15-year-old Riley who can't seem to get along with her mother or do anything right in her mother's eyes. This is the story of the family dynamics between the two families who live fairly close by. There are numerous courses that this story takes but they are all weaved together very nicely in the end. There are so many family situations that come to light and are dealt with so well by the author. The more I read, the more I had to read. The characters were all well developed and pretty much likeable for the most part. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this beautifully written story that touched on so many different emotions.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Seven Letters Of Love’ by Sinead Moriarty in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Sarah is loving mum to Izzie, Adam’s adored wife and best friend and sister to Mia. When she’s is found lying unconscious Sarah is rushed to hospital where the dedicated staff state she has no brain function but Adam insists she be kept on machines to give her fourteen-week-old foetus the chance to be born alive. Whilst gathering items that may be needed in hospital Mia finds seven letters that Sarah has written to Izzie, one for each year of her life, and her diary which she reads aloud sitting at Sarah’s bedside. Izzie’s convinced that Sarah is going to wake up on her special Communion Day so how is Adam going to explain that her mum is not going to wake up again?

This is an amazing novel of love, despair and hope written with warmth and compassion, it’s incredibly moving, heart-breaking, distressing at times, yet a joy at others. I was so involved with the characters that I was in tears for a good part of the story and by the time I reached the end I felt emotionally drained. It’s a wonderful story that will stay in my thoughts for a long time and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

I have been a long term fan of Sinead Moriarty and wow this book did not disappoint. Moriarty is such a a skilled writer, when reading her books you really feel that you know the characters and become emotionally attached to them. This bo.ok deals with a very difficult subject matter from different view points and there were honestly times that tears were dropping on my book. I absolutely adored this book and can't wait to read from the author in the future.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for this ARC
