I loved the romance but it felt like it was so drawn out to get to the actual romance and Charlotte hides for a good portion which I don’t get. I liked Mitch his POV was what i loved most. I just didn’t get why they had to wait for as long as they did.
The romantic suspense aspect of the book was what kept me intrigued but still it was just alright.

3 1/2 Stars.

Well, that was an enjoyable read. It was a bit heavier than I was expecting...but overall it worked.

At the very beginning I thought, cool, cool, this is the steam I need with this book. But to be honest. It wasn't as steamy as I felt it should be. That didn't take away from the story mind you...just a bit different than I was expecting.

The story itself was well done. I loved the characters. I am all about sweet and salty characters and that is exactly what Lori Foster brought.

All Fired Up is actually the third installment of the series and I wish I had read the other two. I think I would have had stronger feelings for the conclusion....but none the less. A quick read that brought me some fantastic characters.

I would absolutely read more from Lori.

I read this book as a stand alone (and peeked at the blurbs of the first 2). But there was plenty of backstory to fill in what was in the first 2 books.

Mitch had a terrible childhood, neglected by his mother and abused by her boyfriend, Newman. His mother was a drug addict and his father had another family. However, although Elliot Crews, was an absentee father from both families, but came around to check on all his boys. But Mitch's mother had an abusive boyfriend, Newman, who feed her habit and even though she never gave Mitch much attention, she also refused to let Elliot take him away. He did tell Mitch all about his half brothers, Brodie and Jack and his wife, Rosalyn, hoping some day when he was older that he would seek them out. Although eventually, Mitch left and was living on the streets, Newman forced him to drive for one of his drug deals, and when he was caught and refused to name names, was sentenced to 5 years in prison. He left prison, with PTSA, but also with the skills to keep himself alive and not to trust anyone. His mother died while he was in prison and left him her house, a house where Nelson had stashed his drugs in the walls. What Mitch found in the house, before he sold it to the city for a road project, was a starved mother dog chained in the basement, one dead pup and one barely alive. He took the living pup, named him Brute and traveled around until he built up the courage to find his half brothers in Red Oak Ohio. But the first person that he lays eyes on when he hits town is Charlotte, who was raised by Ros and the boys after her mother died, and she is the first thing that he as ever wanted in his entire life. Charlotte is equally drawn to him. He doesn't know what to do with his new family, who quickly embrace him, but soon has second thoughts of coming when he learns that Newman is after him and he doesn't want his family to be collateral damage. But his new family is not about to let him go and teach him what family means.

Great character development, easy banter between them all and a compelling story line, which keeps moving forward. Enough back story provided for those of us reading it as a stand alone. I rad an ARC from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Lori Foster’s series Road to Love comes to the end, but not without the high intensity that Ms. Foster is known for. I will forever remember the Crews family.

Mitch’s childhood hasn’t been a bed of roses, far from it. There was one bright time that was when his dad visited. Now he was where he needed to be, but the question is will he be there in the end? Mitch is a great addition to the Road to Love Series As his story unravels he is my Champion in a lot of ways, but the biggest way is that even when his life looked bleak, you really felt his love and trust for his family.

Charlotte now here is an interesting heroine she has the biggest heart, hard worker, loyalty in spades but what amazed me was her strength. From the being she let Brodie and Jack that she would not be put in a corner. Being the honorary daughter in the Crews family was a true blessing in Charlotte eyes. I adored Charlotte from the First book in the “Road to Love Series” she might not be a Crews, but she sure does fight right in with the family.

Sparks fly between Mitch and Charlotte from their first chance meeting, but things only get hotter and more intense from there on. Mitch is loyal, and once your a part of his life he has your back. Charlotte is spunky and loves the Crews as her own family.

Supporting characters are from the first books in the Road to Love Series Brody, Jack, Ros, Elliott, Mary and Roni I enjoyed catching up with them in All Fired Up. There are a few new characters that made my not so nice list. Newman is down right wicked. All Fired Up is a nice intense ending for The Road to Love Series The Crews family comes full circle, with Elliott finally deciding that family is where he wants to be. Lori Foster thank you for yet another fabulous series that was full of Heart, Family, Hope and Love.

The author has a real knack for creating families in her stories. Families that make you wish that they were real. In this story, Mitch comes to meet his brothers who never knew he existed. At the same time he meets Charlotte, who lives with them since her parents died.

Charlotte and Mitch are sweet together, and although they are a little too good to be true, this is a sweet book full if likable characters. There is never a doubt that the ending will be HEA, and that’s ok. That’s why we read these stories.

This book is gripping...with finding a new family, love of animals, finding new love and fighting off the bad guys Lori Foster gives you something that will leave you mesmerized all the way through.
Mitch Crewes didn't know exactly what to expect when he got to town but petite Charlotte Parrish wasn't it.
Charlotte was mesmerized by the man that she met when her car broke down but little did she realize at the time he was a brother to her two bosses Jack and Brodie.
You will not want to put this down for a second.
Remember if you want a pet a rescue is always the best.

As always Lori Foster has written another page turner. This book has plenty of action as well as some steam. Engaging characters and story line keep a fast page turning flow. I liked both Charlotte and Mitch and felt they worked well as a couple. I am looking forward to the next book.

Lori Foster always delivers likable characters, snappy dialogue and sexy fun! I've been waiting for Charlotte's story and I am so happy she ended up with a guy like Mitch. The tie in of Elliot being back in town was nice too. What's not to love?

Okay, so here’s the thing, I don’t know if it’s me or what but every time I pick up a Lori Foster book lately I feel like it’s soooooooooo long and with no reason to be. If you’re going to drag a romance story, it should probably drag in the romance department *shrug* This one did not. So again I find myself not exactly dissatisfied with the story, but certainly not excited either. Maybe I’m changing, I don’t know, but facts:

The suspense portion of this book was eye-rolling at best..
The family plot point was exciting and heartwarming
The inner monologues were excessive. STOP THINKING AND JUST DO. I like my stories to be interactive, not introspective. *shrug*
The romance journey was lacking. Severely.

I’m not giving up on reading Lori Foster, but I think maybe I need a break …

First book I read from this writer and I confess I didn't expect to be so tense. I thought it was more of a cute romance, although the romance between the protagonists is very beautiful and the way everyone welcomes Mitch into the family is exciting, I didn't expect the story to bring strong moments that left me a little shaken.

This was such a sweet, steamy, and suspenseful story. This is the third book in the series and works well as a standalone, however I wish I had read the previous books prior. Family plays such an important part in this book and I would have really appreciated really understanding and knowing the brothers in this book a little better. The book kicks off with Charlotte having car trouble and Mitch helping a girl out. There is a connection between the two when they meet, but it is complicated. Charlotte has been living with a family that treats her like their own, and Mitch has come to town looking to meet his half brothers technically making him part of this family. A tricky relationship to navigate. Also Midge has a bit of a past that seems to be catching up with him. A definite slow build will they? Won’t they?

I have to say the family in this story was fantastic my favorite part of the book. Loved this family, the mom was amazing and I loved how much all of these brothers cared for one another. They accepted Mitch so willingly and protected Charlotte so fiercely. Although occasionally they frustrated me with how much they were protecting Charlotte from Midge, but I understood. My only tiny complaint is the suspense in the story didn’t necessarily add much to the book. I would’ve probably liked more family time and more time with Charlotte and Midge together. All in all a sweet romance that made me smile.

This book in emojis. 🚨 🔥 ❤️

All Fired Up-I love Charlotte and Mitch in this story, Mitch is such a mystery and becomes such a great find for Charlotte. I love how Brody and Jack are with Charlotte and are true big brothers in every sense! I love these characters and how their stories are intertwined and how much they end up finding a commonality with Brody, Jack and Mitch and their own unique differences. They are great brothers and great characters in this book! Lori Foster brings out each unique character again and can’t stop reading until the story is done and always wanting

Short Synopsis:
Mitch Crews has left his ugly past behind and is ready to set down roots. Growing up, he heard stories from his father about his first wife and their children, Mitch’s brothers. Fresh out of prison, he wants nothing more than to meet them at least once before moving on with his life. He never expected them to be so accepting, or for their mother to love him like her own. Mitch also never expected to meet Charlotte Parrish, a young woman who had been taken in by the family years ago. Charlotte is more than he could ever have asked for. A gentle touch can ease his temper, and yet she sets him ablaze with something that goes deeper than lust.

While Charlotte helps ease Mitch into his new family, there is danger lurking. An old enemy from Mitch’s past is out for his blood, and will use anyone and anything to make him pay. Can Mitch keep his new family safe?

My Thoughts:
I loved this! From the very beginning I fell in love with Mitch. He may be an ex-con, but his character shows that he is above that title. A gentleman at heart, he is all alpha without being overbearing. What I especially liked was that I got to see Mitch and Charlotte grow as individuals and then as a couple without their relationship being started and held together by sex. From their first meeting, I felt the connecting between these two, but I really enjoyed seeing Mitch get to know his family, and set down his roots before really diving into a relationship with Charlotte.

The plot itself was amazing, with the growth of the characters, but also that element of danger. It was a perfect drive from start to finish, and I am actually sad that I’ve finished it.

Would I Recommend:
This is the third installment in Lori Foster’s Road to Love Series. I have not read the first two books, however I did not feel that reading this out of order hurt my enjoyment at all. I loved this book, and I am definitely going to pick up a physical copy to add to my shelves. This is a must-read!

M/F Romance

This is the third book in this series, however, I have not read any of the previous books. I never felt that I was missing any of the dynamic between the family members.

Charlotte loves her life. But with a car that isn't cooperating and a couple of drunks, it is a recipe for disaster. Charlotte finds herself being rescued by a very handsome man, Mitch. She is instantly attracted to him and not the least bit wary. Charlotte has been raised by a wonderful family, despite not being blood related. She loves them with everything she has, but sometimes having older brothers can be a pain.

Mitch had a terrible childhood. With a drug addicted mom and an abusive male role model, Mitch got the short end of the stick. When Mitch made the decision to try and help his mom, he paid a steep price. With that behind him, he finds the town that his half-brothers live in. Mitch wants to try and establish some kind of connection, but he's not sure what he wants for sure.

With Charlotte in trouble, Mitch doesn't hesitate. But once her family comes to her rescue too, he's second guessing helping a perfect stranger.

Foster creates characters that you can really relate to. Mitch and Charlotte have great chemistry and I really loved how Mitch's family embraced him so readily. When his past comes back, Mitch will have to contend with something he's never had before... a family. This was a fantastic story about acceptance, love, and what's truly important.

My Rating:

4.5

Favorite Quotes:

Howler’s good with other animals. Basically, he’s an affectionate grandma in a loose suit of fur. If he could bake biscuits, he would.

Good times or bad, family hangs on like a too-tight shirt. You don’t get to outgrow it, you can’t wash it when it’s dirty and it clings even worse when you sweat.

My Review:

This was only my second experience reading the prolific Lori Foster, but I plan to make perusing her engaging stories a frequent habit. I enjoyed her curiously endearing yet flawed characters as much as her compelling storylines with a heinous villain everyone had reason to revile and despise due to his repeated and unthinkable cruelty toward women, children, and animals. The overall emotional tone held a steady thrum of tension and sense of impending peril due to the lurking dangers that were constantly and incrementally building; yet there were also liberal sprinkles of levity, a blossoming romance, curiously tantalizing backstories, steamy sensuality, and captivating family drama interspersed throughout. I had not read the previous books in the series but I adored this extraordinary family and know I would enjoy going back to fully feast on their storylines as well.

All Fired Up by Lori Foster is the third book in the Road to Love series. I never read the previous books in the series; however, I had no difficulty following the story. It can be read as a stand-alone.

The hero of this story, Mitch Crews, had a hard life. Recently released from prison, he was determined to turn his life around, and in the process locate his half-brothers, Brodie and Jack. He had no idea what to expect when he found them, however their reaction to his revelation was more than he ever imagined. Their warm welcome and their desire to embrace as family blew him away. However, after years of neglect, he had a hard time accepting the warm embrace of a family. Then there was Charlotte who blew into his life like a whirlwind. She made him feel things he never thought possible, but he did not believe he was worthy to be with her because of his past. To make matters worse, trouble from his past followed, and he was determined to protect everyone single handily, but his newfound family had other ideas.

All Fired Up was a story of forgiveness, healing, love, acceptance and second chances. I enjoyed spending time Mitch and his new family. I loved how they accepted him, no questions asked.

Charlotte was a feisty character with a caring and compassionate heart. She did not judge Mitch based on his past. She accepted him for who he was and tirelessly tried proving to him that he was so much more than his past.

I liked that I got the chance to delve into Mitch and Charlotte’s past. I thought they made a great couple, and I wanted them to get their happily ever after. I loved how the romance developed, slow and genuine.

I enjoyed the interaction between the characters. Funny and emotional.

The build up to suspense angle wreaked havoc on my nerves. I kept wondering when the villains would strike, where they would strike, and who would be their first target.

Conclusion/Recommendation
Overall, I enjoyed this installment. I intend to read the previous books, as I am keen to learn more about Jack and Brodie.

My thanks to Harlequin for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.

A very solid 5 stars. A little family reunion can scare the best of us but realizing that family will always have your back is an amazing thing. There is just nothing like a big strong man with a great heart meeting a strong woman with one too. Always a great read with Lori Foster.

All Fired Up by Lori Foster, the third book in the Road to Love series (though it can easily be read as a standalone), is a story full of steamy romance, familial love, and nail-biting suspense.

Charlotte and Mitch first meet on the night Charlotte’s car breaks down and she’s accosted by drunkards leaving a local bar. Mitch, an ex-con in shining armor, comes to Charlotte’s rescue. The attraction is instant, and Charlotte is insanely intrigued by Mitch. When he turns out to be the long-lost half brother of her overprotective pseudo-brothers/bosses, things get really interesting. And adorable – Brodie and Jack are just so sweet with her.

I adored the dynamic between Charlotte and the Crews family. They took her in as one of their own after her mother died, and she never felt like she didn’t belong. I would honestly love to be a part of a family like the Crews (even with the bits of drama involved…they actually handled it all pretty well, considering). Roz, matriarch of the Crews crew (haha, had to!), was one of my favorite characters. Her heart was so open, and she was so caring and accepting. She took Mitch right in, no questions asked, no undeserved anger directed at him for the affair that had created him. My favorite aspect of the book, in fact, was the emphasis on the importance of family.

While Charlotte is intrigued by Mitch, Mitch is thrown by her. She accepts him just as he is, and after a pretty rough life up to that point, he just isn’t used to kind and decent people. He thinks he isn’t good enough for her. Though his willingness to do anything for his loved ones soon proves that theory wrong.

I loved watching Charlotte and not-so-bad-boy Mitch come together. Their love story was as beautiful as it was sizzling. Mitch’s dog, Brute, was the cutest thing on Earth. And when Mitch’s very dangerous past caught up with him – well, let’s just say the stress was real for a little bit there!

This is my first Lori Foster book, but it will definitely not be my last! All Fired Up was sweet, raw, suspenseful, funny, heartbreaking and heartwarming – an all-around amazing story that is, at its heart, all about love, belonging, and family. I definitely recommend picking up your own copy yesterday!

All Fired Up is the third book in the series and I completely enjoyed this book from start to finish. I really liked how all the characters interacted and grew as one family if not all by blood but by love and support of each other. I also liked all the animals having a special role in the family. Howler and Peanut always warm my heart. I think the pairing of Charlotte with Mitch was a great match both deserved the happiness they give each other, and they are both likable characters.

I received an ARC from Net Galley and this is my honest review.
