Going back to Happily Inc is always a treat. Renee and Jasper don't want to hope. They don't want to fall in love. Sometimes, life has other ideas. I love the drive Renee has with her wedding planner business and the devotion Jasper puts into writing his books. Their characters are both relatable and believable. I cheered for their relationship until the very last page.

Apologies for the late response on this title, and apologies for clogging up an inbox on old titles.

While I am aware it's obvious, I have chosen not to read/review this title.

As always, I appreciate access to titles and look forward to the next one...which I have likely already read based on how long ago this title was published.

Thanks, again.

I was so happy to revisit the characters surrounding Happily, Inc. This series by Susan Mallery has everything you need in an escape: small town, love, wedding planning company, second chances and great friends. Each book in the series is standalone, the relationships the reader has with all the characters just deepens with each book.

Those who enjoy women’s fiction may want to take a look at this series of six books, of which this is number five. I had not paid attention when requesting this book so did not know its place in the series. Nonetheless, I felt fully able to read this book without any issues. It tells a story of a wedding planner and a thriller writer who are attracted to one another. Each has issues that impact their willingness to make a commitment. Will they have a happy ending and what will happen as they try to get there?

This book was not my favorite by this author. That said, I will continue to keep an eye out for future titles by her.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Jasper!!! And Renee!!! I honestly expected a Jasper/Wynn combo but this was so perfect, I loved it! This little wedding town is so adorable, and the added twist of Verity was a little weird, but really worked for the story.

This was my first read of Mallery's and I enjoyed it very much. I did not realize it was the fifth book in a series, but I thought it stood alone just fine. I enjoyed the buildup of Renee and Jasper and how they came together with their relationship, each having to work through their issues. I thought they each could have gotten there a little faster for my liking, but over this was a good one to fit in amongst heavier reads and I will be reading more of Mallery's books in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQN for the digital copy to review.

This was a cute small town romance. I think I would’ve enjoyed this one more had I read the other books in the series first. Whoops. But I still enjoyed it and was surprised at the steaminess of it. I’ll definitely be reading more of her books in the future

So admittedly, I haven’t read the other books in the series that came before this and while it didn’t prevent me from following the book, it does mean that I might be missing something that other readers might enjoy. I found Renee and Jasper’s relationship predictable and boring. Like every time a couple goes into a friends with benefits one of them falls for the other if not both (in a romance with an HEA you predict both). The only problem was that I felt no chemistry between the two of them. They weren’t exciting characters so I wasn’t excited to read about them or their relationship. Regardless of all that, the ending was super rushed and I felt like there was little thought out into it.

When I first saw the books on this tour, I had not heard of any of them or the authors! So I decided to leave it there and go into it blindly.

From other reviews that I read on Goodreads, after I finished the book seemed like it was the best idea. Come to find out that this one is actually the fifth book in the series. From what I can tell is that each book is a stand-alone, the characters and the world itself overlapping, but each of their stories being different.

This particular book follows Jasper Dembenski, a military veteran turned thriller writer returning from his book tour, and a local wedding planner named Renee. At first they agree to start a fling, something for them that will not go anywhere. Until they become more important to one another than they are willing to admit.

Renee and Jasper’s story reads a lot like a redemption story. When we are first introduced to two of them, both think they are unworthy and not capable of love. What originally started as a no strings fling, turns into something that teaches two seemingly broken people that there is something out there for everyone.

I have always been a fan of Ms. Mallery and this book did not disappoint. I loved Reese and Jasper. Well done!

this was a good read, it wasn't what I usually read but I still enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and I think the author writes well.

Jacob is a little odd in a charmingly weird way and that makes him a perfect fit to the Happily Inc. Series. He writes crime murder mysteries that make you sleep with the lights on. Handsome with a big heart. There is one thing he is clueless about…women.

Renee came to Happily Inc never thinking she would be a huge part of Out of the Box Weddings and this town, but now Renee could never see herself anywhere else. Renee’s life is about to get very interesting when a big secret gets revealed. The question is what will she do when her mind catches up with her heart? We get to know Renee and Jasper from earlier books in the Happily Inc. Series, but now we get to see if their story has a HEA or do they go their separate ways.

Jasper and Renee both come into this with secrets and issues that keep them on the not good for a relationship list. I enjoyed these two immensely. They both have grown so much since they were introduced. Jasper learns that people aren’t all that bad, and for some reason they find him easy to talk too. *Grins* Renee learns that she doesn’t have to be alone. Susan Mallory knocked it out of the park with these two characters. I enjoyed how she really gave them both strength to look inside themselves, to discover they have a lot to offer because we all know the matters of the heart aren’t always easy.

Oh my gosh I adore every character in this series and love catching up with all their news. My favorite scene is always the girls gathering. Makes me all warm inside, nothing like the power of “Girlfriends” to make you smile. Jasper is so sweet with his interactions with the guys. I can actually see him scratching his head trying too figure out why they come to him to talk. The one man who has NO clue about women. 😂Verity Renee’s mom proves to be interesting, but that’s all I am saying. Read Meant to be Yours to find out. The four legged friends Koda, Fred and Lucille are adorable.

Meant to be Yours is a wonderful addition to the Series Happily Inc The character development is warm and fun. The plot is intense as dealing with the matters of the heart. Jasper discovers healing starts with a four legged friend. Renee learns that no matter what a good friend base means everything. Ms. Mallory are we going to see any more books in the Happily Inc.Series? I feel Wynn really needs a chance at love, but whoever that will be needs to be strong and push her boundaries a little.

This 5th book in the Happily Inc. series is about the romance between wedding planner Renee and famous crime thriller novelist Jasper. They’re both damaged, Jasper w/ PTSD and Renee from a string of men who have betrayed and abandoned her. They agree to a friends with benefits relationship, but as so often happens, feelings start to get in the way. When Jasper goes behind her back to convince a young couple to allow him to observe their wedding planning, Renee is furious. However, a heartfelt apology is all it takes for her to cave, and being around each other so much leads to the inevitable. Will they both be able to let go of the past to have a future together?

A minor criticism is the implausible storyline of Renee’s mother being an animal psychic. If you can suspend disbelief, her interactions with the four-legged creatures provide some drama that moves the story along. Susan Mallery is always a great bet for heartwarming romances with a little steam and tension. It’s always fun to revisit with characters from earlier in the series and see them building families. This one wasn’t as good as the earlier books that feature the enigmatic, handsome, and artistic Mitchell brothers, but it was still a pleasant way to spend a day.

This is a great addition to the Happily Inc series. The characters Renee and Jasper were made for each other, and it was a lot of fun to see how long it took them to get there!

This may very well be a case of "it's not the book, it's me." I just didn't vibe with the characters (they seemed very one note/surface to me), didn't feel any chemistry between Renee and Jasper, and the whole secret thing with Renee's mother just didn't fit the story at all for me. Maybe it's because this is the fifth book in the series and there is indeed some magical realism infused into the series that makes this detail fit but I'm not aware of it. But, I don't know if I care enough about the world and characters that are featured here to invest time in starting at the beginning of the series...

I really did not find myself liking this book all that much as I did not know that this was a romantic novel. It was not my cup of tea.

Another delightful read by Susan Mallery! Though I haven't read any of the other Happily, Inc series (maybe one or two?) this one made sense on its own and was great comfort read. It wasn't my favorite Susan Mallery (I love the Mischief Bay ones the best) but it was definitely a solid read.

Cute and light read. Not my favorite book from Susan Mallery but I did find it enjoyable. A great summer read.

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions are 100% my own.
