This book was so fun! This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention. It was so well written and the characters were fantastic.

Christina Hovland is quickly becoming one of my favorite romance others and I'm not mad about it!
After reading four of her books I can safely say she can do no wrong!
After Brek and Jase, it was finally Eli's turn to get a book and I loved him sooo much!

What happens in Vegas does not always seem to stay there. One part left at the altar, add to one part best friend's mega hot brother, and another part drunken hijinx and you apparently get a great love story.

This was my first book that I have read by Christina Hovland and in this series. I will be reading the other books in the series for sure. Eli and Marlee were a perfect match. Their denial and resistance in the beginning and god that chemistry. I enjoyed that Hovland touched on many tropes, but she did it in a way that I did not mind. Their romance grew in a natural way that did not feel forced or rushed. Not to mention those amazingly steamy scenes.

I will be reading books by Hovland in the future for sure.

I liked Eli and Marlee's story. Cute and sweet moments. Not as good as the first book in the series, but still some really funny moments. Especially when it came to Babushka.

I'm looking forward to more from this author and this series.

This is a fantastic romantic comedy!
Whilst the story is predictable, I enjoyed the crazy antics throughout the story.
This is the first Christina Holland book I have read.
I was happy to find great chemistry between the characters.
Will definitely be picking up her other books!!

Take It Off The Menu is a cute, fun & somewhat steamy read.
Highly recommend for romcom lovers and people looking for an easy, fun read.

This is book three of the Mile High Matched Series. I haven't read the first two but They are going on my TBR pile. Christina Hovland is a welcome find in the ever expanding Contemporary Romance genre. This was a rollicking ride from page one and when I got to the part with Babushka, it was even better. Yes, there is a stretch where Marlee is TSTL but she over comes and grows up. Eli is a commitment phobe but with good reasons. He also grows up. You won't be able to put this book down. Fun Read!!

I have been eagerly waiting for this book after discovering the author about four months ago. Take It Off the Menu is not what I built it up to be in mind (which meant I wanted it to be as good as book 2), but it's still a fun story.

In short, Marlee gets dumped right before her wedding. She goes to Vegas with a sort-of friend and they end up married. The judge won't let them annul the wedding. The fun and crazy plot line goes from there. I love friends-to-lovers stories and this is a good one.

Marlee Medford is ready to walk down the aisle, however, there’s been a minor glitch, the groom has called it off! Two days before! Yes the spark was gone from their relationship, but she really hoped it would reignite after their wedding. Sad thing is that she’s not feeling that upset about it. Now Marlee needs to regroup and a trip to Vegas with her besties, including Eli Howard, her best friend’s brother, is in the plans. He’s an up and coming chef, who was going to cater the wedding, and they all feel they need a guy to protect them in Vegas.

Eli is not that upset about the cancelled wedding. He has known Marlee since childhood and is very protective of her. Eli also wants to make sure these ladies are well taken care off, and who better to do it but him.

After a night of too many shots and partying all night, Eli wakes up in his hotel room with Marlee next to him. However, that’s not all, he’s now married to her. Taking a trip to the courthouse, the judge decides that their story of too much drinking, is not valid enough for an annulment.
Now they need to return home and figure out how to get out of this mess. The thing is, Eli is not upset about them being married. What to do?
Since her ex-fiancé won’t move out of their apartment, Marlee moves in with Eli. What starts out as friends all of a sudden turns into so much more.

This story was not only fun to read, but oh so sexy!

I love Christina Hovland books!

I really enjoyed this accidentally married, best friend brother's romance.

Eli was so sweet. Marlee was a lovable clueless rich girl and I just loved their chemistry.

Marlee's parents and ex-finance were the worst. The little dog, Lothario, was hilarious.

I can't wait for more of this series.

Hovland can charm the heart right out of your chest. Take It Off the Menu keeps hearts racing and laughs flowing with a tempting group of over the top characters. Eli and Marlee are clueless friends who could be perfect lovers. If they can get over their phobia of finding happily ever after. Enticingly, ridiculous and abundantly, entertaining breeds a fabulous handful of fun.

This was a fun and enjoyable read. The romance was cute and I liked learning more and more about the characters as the story progressed. I will say, it was a pretty forgettable story (character names are already falling out of my head) but it's an easy and quick romance read.

Take It Off the Menu is the third book in the Mile High Matched series by Christina Hovland. I have not read the previous books, but this book read well as a stand alone.

Marlee Medford just got dumped. Yes, things have become ho-hum in her longtime relationship, but she was two days away from walking down the aisle with the man she thought was her forever when he called it off. Marlee needs to regain control of her life, and a weekend away with her friends is a solid first step. One of Denver’s best up-and-coming chefs, perpetual bachelor Eli Howard, isn’t into serious relationships—especially the kind that ends in marriage. Feeling oddly protective of the jilted bride—his little sister’s best friend—his weekend plans now involve a trip to Sin City with her group of friends. But it looks like he had a bit too much fun in Vegas when he wakes up married, wedding night included. Marlee’s attempts at getting her life back together are failing miserably. Her ex-fiancé is taking the house, her chihuahua is intent on a love affair with Eli’s sneakers, and she’s now accidentally hitched to the guy who can't even say the word marriage. With their quickie annulment denied, Eli and Marlee just have to hang tight until the divorce goes through. It’s just a little divorce amongst friends, what’s the worst that could happen?

Take It Off the Menu is a contemporary romance with a lot going on. There is the best friend's brother aspect, the afraid of commitment element, and the interfering parents and sucky ex bit. However, the book managed to balance all of these elements with humor. I loved the regular intervals of a horny chihuahua and the wonderful circle of friends that both Eli and Marlee have helping them through every hurdle. Marlee is a sweetheart with a soft heart that often falls into doing whatever other expect from her- I would have liked to see a bit more backbone from her, but I think that if she had stood up for herself more she would not have ended up in the situation that brought this all about. Eli is a sweet and strong guy- he is always there to help everyone else but has trouble accepting help from anyone else. That is something I could relate to- and I was glad to see that he had to come to terms with that as well as his commitment issues. There were times when I thought there was much more to his commitment issue than readers were told- but that might have just been me. The secondary characters, and dog, stole the show for me. I loved the extended circle of friends and family even more than the rest. I think I want a story just about Babushka! As a whole I really enjoyed the read.

Take It Off the Menu is a romance that has a good balance of heart and humor. I enjoyed the read and will be reading more from the author.

This is a fun, sexy romance. Marlee is a jilted bride with a stellar group of best friends, including Eli, the older brother of her BFF Sadie. What is the best way to get over being dumped less than 48 hours before your wedding? Head to Vegas of course! A night of dares and too much alcohol ends in some unexpected wedding bells. Will Marlee and Eli find wedded bliss or call it quits before giving it a chance? Cute with some hot, sexy moments.

Take It Off the Menu by Christina Hovland is the third book in the Mile High Matched series, but it reads as a standalone book. I actually didn’t even realize this book was part of a series until I’d finished!

This was a really sweet, fun book. My first thoughts were that this book wasn’t anything that I hadn’t already read before. Cute, light, fun to read, but nothing epic. However, as I got farther and farther into the book, I started to become more and more invested in what was happening to these characters…to the point of laugh out loud moments, audible gasping moments, and tears pouring down my face moments.

Marlee Medford was having a bad week. Her crappy fiancée called off their wedding two days before show time, kicked her out of her own home, and left her to deal with the aftermath of a cancelled wedding while he went on their honeymoon. So, what better reason to plan a girls trip to Vegas with your 3 best friends plus a chaperone who is your bestie’s sexy (but terrified of commitment) big brother who also just so happened to be the caterer for your non-existent wedding. Makes sense! And, why not pour salt in Marlee’s already open wound when she woke up realizing she’d drunkenly married said bestie’s sexy, chef, commitmentphobe brother, Eli Howard.

I really loved Marlee. She described herself a few times as a “spoiled rich girl” coming from old family money. But, I never got that vibe from her. She was kind, charismatic, and impossible to fall in love with…as Eli quickly realized.

Eli was a tougher nut to crack. At first, I was really frustrated with him. His reasons for being afraid of love and commitment were pretty lame in my opinion. And, it just took so long for him to come around. But once he finally did…swoon. A strong, sexy, kind, caring, humble man that can cook (and bake) with big ambitions and loads of determination…“Yes, chef” indeed.

No fake marriage can go off without a hitch, of course. Twist, here. OMG…uh oh, there. It was really fun to watch Marlee and Eli navigate their new normal while finding themselves and recognizing their true hopes and dreams in the process. Then, throw in some amazing friends and a crazy Russian Babushka (plus her retirement home friends) into the mix, and the supporting cast really adds a special and hilarious element to this book.

It may not be a life changing story, but it certainly is a fun one. I enjoyed this easy read and getting to know these characters. I’m certainly curious about the other couples I met in this book, and I may just go back to read the first two books in this series.

Oh, and download the free bonus scene epilogue. It’ll give you all the feels with a peek at Marlee and Eli 15 years later.

Marlee Medford has found herself single once again. The problem is that she was to get married in two days. The groom has said that the spark is gone because of all of this wedding craziness. Now she has realized that she does not either but during the course of the day and the next, she sees her parents siding with him. Since they both worked at her father’s firm she now feels that she has lost her parents and fiancé amongst other friends. Her real friends. Her posse has her back and comes in and takes her to Las Vegas for a true getaway. The only male is the older brother Eli Howard who was going to carter the wedding but now has gone back to his old duties as getting his sister and friends out of trouble. Well, that would be good except he wakes up with Marlee in the morning and they are married. Having to wait a day for court and his sister needing to go back for a case they are to handle it themselves and let’s just say that when they are returning to Denver they are still married. That is just one of the funny scenes, when she tries to cook in their apartment not good or when she tries to help him at his business. She does find working next door at the florist fun and easy and something she is good at. She also comes up with a plan to get back at her ex who is still living in her house, working for her father, while her parents cut off her trust. She does not go back to them, as a matter of fact, she walks out on them and does not return their call telling them it was he who called off the wedding not her. There is so much more to this story that you just must read it. The characters are all good and this is a fun story.
