I honestly didn't know what was coming for so much of this book. Schiller creates a story that kept me turning pages oblivious to how the story would end. I found it really exceptional that Flynn starts out as the stereotypical spoiled, neglected rich kid and yet I still liked him so much. He may have more than his share of demons but the man who has a drinking problem and more ghosts than he deserves is also the man who does small kindnesses like cleaning up and taking care of Scarlett and Aunt Rose. His affection for them both isn't stunted by the lack of love in his life. Perhaps the love between him and his sister has been enough to overcome the literal absence of his deceased mother and figurative absence of his emotionally removed father.

Flynn's dreams are baffling. How can they be so lucid and yet impossible? It's fascinating to watch them unfold.

The premise of this story is unique and very clever. The characters are well-written and realistic. I quickly became invested in them all. I loved that the ending was almost everything Flynn, and I the reader, hoped for. I'll admit there were tears involved!

Well done.

An intriguing concept but the characters and plot pacing did not work for me.

An interesting mystery is introduced early on and we meet all the main players. However, the conflict/explanation seemed to kind of come out of left field. I wish there had been more time to explore it, too, but it felt rushed in the end.

I have been a big fan of MK Schiller since her first book. She has a way of grabbing the reader (almost from the first page) and giving us characters with such depth and connection, that we don't want to let them go. I also love that she writes true life issues and conflicts into her stories, without shoving it down her readers throats.

Lost years was a true love story. I will admit the dream sequences kind of threw me, but it didn't stop me from loving the book! I can't wait to read more from MK!

Wow!!! This book was amazing! The plot is one of the best I have read in awhile. First of all, I loved these characters and the plot had me guessing and staying up too late to finish it. I don't want to give away too much but this book is so different from what I thought it was going to be, but in a very good way. I was intrigued by a guy following his dreams to find "the girl". I was not disappointed and I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author. This book got to me and has stayed with me.

This book had an awesome plot/story line. It took me a little while to get into the story, which I think was due to the way the dream sequences fit into the story, but once I got about a third of the way into the story it was hard to put down. MK Schiller wrote a thought-provoking story and I really found myself working hard to figure out exactly what was happening, how it was happening, and how it (the story) could possibly get to a happy conclusion. Great job!!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed the book and would love to read more books by this author..

The blurb for this book really hooked. It sounded like something I’ve never read before and that’s exactly what I got. It’s really hard to put into words what this story is. It’s kind of like The Butterfly Effect, but with more romance. It’s really well written and engaging from the beginning. It’s best to go in blind and enjoy the ride. Just be prepared to have your emotions thrown all over the place.

Lost Years is a unique, very well written and thought out novel. I'm not sure how to categorize this story; a contemporary romance/mystery would describe it best.

Lost Years is told in the first person, from the POV of Jason. Throughout this story, I had so many questions, a variety of theories about Jason and his dreams. Jason and his dream girl are the missing parts of each other. For Jason and Scarlett, it was Insta love they were meant to be, but even as a reader I knew there was more to it than that.

I was constantly intrigued, and at times frustrated, about how everything fit together. I started to doubt the direction the story was taking, thankfully the "aha!" moment came and I was finally able to put the puzzle together. Now I have finished reading I am itching to go back and read the book again with my new-found knowledge!

I am a very open minded reader, and I think you have to be to enjoy Lost Years to its fullest. I'm so very excited to add this author to my instant one-click list.

Lost Years by MK Schiller a five-star read that will twist you up. I honestly don’t know how I came to the rating for this one as at times I worried I wouldn’t finish it. If you enjoy a story that takes a while to get going and can be a tad confusing but grips you in the end, then this is one for you. I was sure when I was at 25% that this would be a DNF, but I hate leaving a story undone and just kept on going, I was so confused at times that I had to go back and re-read parts of the story, but the more I read the more I couldn’t put it down to the point that when I was at 80% I came back from lunch, shut my office door and pretended that I was too busy for people to come see me as I needed to know what happened I was so gripped. Near the end of this story I had physical Goosebumps and was crying my eyes out, I didn’t expect this when I started this story. Jason Flynn, I didn’t like you much at first but by the end of this story you had won my heart and soul over. But as the blurb says this isn’t just his story, there are so many unique and charming characters in this story and each one deserves their own story, I can’t wait to hear more from this author.

The man is just full of romance, “they are mine to take off. I plan to eff every inch of you, Scarlett, but I want to savor you first.” Scarlett and Flynn just comliment each other:
She ran her fingers across the fresh stubble on my face. “You look like a effing underwear model.”
“I want in your underwear again.”
I liked this book, I loved Flynn.

Wow!!! I liked it. Was so different from what I’m used to reading. Kept me on the edge of my seat. I was trying to figure out what was a dream or the real thing. Love that epilogue.
