I finally read this book, and regret waiting so long. I loved this book so much. I love that even though it is ya, it keeps you guessing. Truly and perfect book for someone who loves true crime.

Don't sleep on YA thrillers! I think some people get turned off by the YA label, but these books are often more readable because they know they can't do slow burns. I appreciated that the action of this book kicked off right from the beginning, so it took no time at all for me to feel invested in the story and super curious about how it was going to play out. This was a bit darker than I expected because it was YA, but Jackson was able to achieve the perfect blend of humor and mystery/intrigue.

I'm definitely going to check out the other two books in this series. Pippa was a great main character with compelling motivations. Some of her behavior was a bit frustrating, but what teenager doesn't make dumb decisions? Can't wait to see what crime there is for her to solve in book 2!

I ended up reading this book MONTHS after I was approved for an ARC copy. I didn't have time in my life when I was approved and then I picked up A Good Girl's Guide to Murder because of a rec from a friend and thought that the cover looked familiar!!

This book and its small-town prejudice and girl on a mission for answers really struck close to home. As someone, like our main character Pippa, who grew up in a place where everyone knew everyone's business, I could relate. Additionally, I too was the student who wanted to do a project that bent the rubric and was slightly outside the assigned boundaries.

I loved the aspect that Andie - the victim of the murder Pippa is investigating - isn't a sweet, loving, she-lit-up-a-room-when-she-entered-it type was SO REFRESHING.

The twists and turns in this book had me on the edge of my seat until the very last page!

I can tell why this title is so popular with teens- it had me gripped from page one! Looking forward to catching the next book.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is probably one of the best young adult series I’ve read. It’s a YA mystery thriller but it has a twist I don’t recall seeing done before. Our heroine, Pippa, decides to do a podcast on a murder that happened in her community. She starts asking questions and investigating as part of the project, which leads to some really dangerous situations for Pippa. She ends up discovering all kinds of shady things about those in her community and uncovering evidence the police didn’t find. This book felt like something that could actually happen, and I think the podcast aspect was unique and fresh. I really liked the characters. I liked the truth of this book. Pippa’s actions of consequences and she sometimes sees the very really consequences of her involvement. I immediately read book 2 and I’m looking forward to reading book 3.

For my Senior Project, I learned how to water color black and white photographs. Pip investigated a murder of a popular student from her school that occurred 5 years ago. I think her’s was more exciting.

This was a wild ride, and Pip discovered more than the police in the case. This was a wild ride, and I can’t wait to read the next one!

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Wow this book was good! It took me awhile to make my way to it but once I did I was sucked in. The book really keeps you on your toes and you're suspicious of any and everyone. I loved the main character and figuring things out right alongside her. I don't want to spoil anything but there was a part towards the end that made me sad. The authors definitely not pulling punches. I would love to read more from her.

One of the best thrillers I've read! I devoured this book in one day and couldn't put it down! The writing makes you feel like you're right there with Pippa as she investigates a 5 year old murder for a class project. This was a roller coaster ride that I never wanted to end, with plot twists you wont see coming. I immediately bought the books in hardback so my co-worker could borrow them.

This was an amazing suspense/thriller for teens! With the success of tv shows and another book that has a similarity to it, this series will be a great success.

Lots of great topics to discuss in the book: underage drinking, drugs, rape, murder, and so much more!

I truly enjoyed this book and it's take on the modern armchair-investigator aspirations that so many of us harbor. I have recommended to friends and to my library for purchase.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder is a YA mystery that features a teenager named Pip, a high school senior who sets out to shed new light on a five year old murder case in her town. The investigation, which involves a missing girl named Andie Bell , intrigues Pip because the brother of the suspected killer has claimed from the beginning that he is innocent. Pip is unable to interview the brother, who presumably killed himself after killing Andie, so she interviews the brother instead. They end up working together in an attempt to clear his brother Sal's name. This is a great murder mystery.and a must read for Young Adult Fiction fans..

Pip is doing her Capstone Project on a five-year-old disappearance case that took place in her town. She isn't sure that the case was truly solved. She introduces herself to everyone that she thinks was involved in Andie Bell’s disappearance and ruffles lots of feathers as she continues her investigation. Pip and Ravi become friends as they work on solving the mystery. Ravi’s older brother was accused of killing Andie and then committing suicide afterward. The amateur sleuths dive into the case and unravel a complicated weave of problems. Soon, Pip is receiving threats to stay away from the case and it seems that every time she finds a piece of evidence to someone’s guilt, she inevitably discovers more to the story. An enjoyable and intricate mystery, 5 stars!

This book was absolutely fantastic. I've already added it to our library collection on preorder and will recommend it to students.

Andie Jackson was murdered. Everyone KNOWS that Sal Singe did it, but Pippa Fitz-Amobi thinks that there may have been a huge mistake. It’s senior year, and Andi must choose a topic for her senior project, and Andie’s murder is the perfect chance for her to explore further. As she digs deeper into the case, someone begins sending her chilling notes warning her to stop looking for answers. Now, Pippa must decide whether she wants to keep searching and risk the safety of herself and her family, or quit, leaving the truth hidden and a potential murderer on the loose.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is every mystery lover’s dream. A thrilling, intriguing plot, an unpredictable story, deep, relatable characters, and an ending that will leave readers craving book two. There are many twists and turns, but they don’t seem forced. It is a page turner from the first sentence until the last.

I don't read much YA but I was excited to read a YA thriller. YAY. Pippa is a high school student that is "a good girl" super smart and plays by the rules. She decides to leave behind her good girl status when she is researching a paper for her senior project. She is trying to portray how the media influences cases, but really Pippa is trying to solve a murder.

So many suspect oh goodness. I liked the book. My only issues were I know some dectives in adult novels who aren't doing this much investigating and she is in high school. Maybe cool it with the older guy thing.

Even as I read this title I knew I would be buying it. The list of students who I knew would love it grew. Mystery is big at our school and I knew this would fit right in. Not only does it keep you guessing it is relevant to what we know happens in the Justice System on an all too regular basis. Highly recommend and I have plans for this being a book club choice.

THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING. Holy cow. I was so invested in this story from the very beginning. I don't know why it took me SO LONG to read because once I dived in I couldn't stop until I finished it. I haven't been able to find a really solid YA mystery/thriller for a couple of years....UNTIL THIS BOOK. Read it. Please please read it. I loved the main character and I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series. Thank you Netgalley for giving me a copy of this for review.

I LOVED this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole thing. I loved the characters, especially the main character. She was so smart. This is one of those books that I had my mouth hanging open while reading.

Solid book, great for people who like thrillers that aren’t too intense.

There are some plots that seem to wrap up a little too perfectly, but other than that, this was a delightful mystery!

The main character is a little neurotic at times, but personally I really like that about her. The characters all seem to be exaggerated versions of themselves, and it adds a nice chaos to the book that keeps it real and kinda funny at times.

Solid mystery, great fun.

I heard such great things about this book. It wasn't bad, but I'm also not a true crime fan, and I think that's where the disconnect was. It's a solid mystery and I can see why people liked it so much.
