It's interesting I guess. Movies have done this type of financial crisis type thing so much better while making it easier to follow. You probably need to actually work on Wall Street to follow some of this.

2.5 stars.

The story wasn't so bad but it's not my cup of tea. The story tended to just dump so much information all at once and at most times in a very vague way which left me so confused as to what's happening. A few other things that I hated is that it could be so vulgar and have so much sexual content just to show off that the characters could do whatever they want just because they got money.

Overall, it was interesting to see how money moved fast from place to place, this wasn't for me so I don't have any intentions to continue.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with the digital copy for an honest review.

not much to say about this one. i thought this would be a cool and interesting read but most of the time i was lost with all of the financial jargon. and didn’t much care for it. i suppose the target audience for this wasn’t me, maybe people who like wall street jargon would enjoy it better. the illustration was pretty good though!

Graphics and art were good - really good in fact.
It's mostly the only positive I can find though - the story feels familiar and one that I've seen so many times. I'm not sure there are any strong female characters, and there's a couple of cliche's that really didn't sit well with me.
I thank the publisher for the chance to read the book, but it wasn't a book I could really enjoy.

I received this book in return for an honest review. Thanks to Netgalley for linking me up with the publisher!

An interesting insight into the crazy world of finance and hedge funds in particular, with a good plot and beautiful graphics. However, there were too many cliches, no strong female characters (I worked in finance for a few years and this is a not a good reflection of how the industry really works). More diversity would have made this a much better read.

Hedge Fund is a hard hitting graphic novel experience with detailed art. Definitely a realistic/literary use of the visual medium.

I don't give a crap about finance, so I was pretty lost through this one, though I did get most of what was important I guess. I just won't be looking to read the second part with any amount of excitement because it's just a subject that doesn't interest me. But if you are a fan of movies like "Wallstreet" then this may be for you. It's all about the harshness of the financial markets, and what massive assholes stock traders are.

I really liked the drawings in this book, as they are quite detailed and have good quality, and at the same time respectful of the traditional comics. The plot and story are OK, and the authors have at least basic knowledge of the financial markets. However, the short selling of a stock that's not liquid would not be possible, but I understand this is fiction.

Unfortunately this didn't click with me. There wasn't anything interesting or unusual in the story or the characters, and the art was OK but nothing special. Disappointed.

I really appreciate the copy for review.
