There are lots of tiny stories, just a paragraph, that really don’t seem to contribute anything to the whole, so I don’t know why they were included. There doesn’t seem to be a reason for them to be there. But then again, there are only two stories with the same character, so it’s not like they’re connected. The main thing that connects many of the stories is the author’s obsession with compulsive lying. Almost every story is about a compulsive liar or someone dating a compulsive liar. It's interesting, but not amazing.

I heard about this book on a podcast and even though I am not drawn to short story collections, the podcast led me to a worthwhile book. The stories connect because all the characters are gay. These guys cannot stop lying and this lying is an integral part of them as they tell their lonely stories. .
