Ahmad was the biggest playboy soaking up the Las Vegas lifestyle until he met Vanessa. Their relationship instantly evolved into randomly seeing each other into a marriage proposal when Vanessa let’s Amad she’s pregnant. Unfortunately Vanessa has no idea who Amad is and accepting women have a vital role to contribute in their tribe. Stubbornness and unwillingness to see the changes that have occurred he must sacrifice what he has believed to what he wants. Great continuation of the series.

Sheikh Amad must marry by his 30th birthday however plans change in his country when independent Vanessa Hammerman brings the news of an heir. Second in the Safar sheikshs series that is enjoyable read.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

The Sheikh's Instant Family is the second book in the Safar Sheikhs series by Leslie North. You do not need to read the books in order, or as series to fully enjoy each one. However returning readers will understand the family drama and secondary characters a little more than new readers.

Sheikh Amad has always gone with his gut, which is why his ventures abroad have multiplied his tribe’s wealth and business connections. But with his 30th birthday approaching—and with expectations that he be married by then—he’s got to go home soon...That means leaving his life in Las Vegas, and Vanessa, the sexy waitress he’s falling for, behind. Vanessa Hammerman has had to work for everything she’s ever had, left by every man from her father on up. Sheikh Amad has been fun, but she’s not thinking of a long-term commitment with a Middle Eastern prince. She’d rather keep it fun…until the pregnancy test comes back positive. Now she’s out on the biggest limb of her life: Will this man run from her, too? Or will he be the one to stay? It seems like fate when Vanessa tells Amad he’s going to be a father, and his marriage proposal is instantaneous. It’s the perfect solution for fulfilling his duty while at the same time satisfying his heart. But when he brings her home to his tribe, he realizes his independent, Western bride might not work so well in the traditional structure of the Middle East. Vanessa has put everything on the line for this: her heart, her career, and her life. So when she refuses to fall in line with Amad’s expectations, they begin to doubt if they can make it work. But if they take the chance, love could become the biggest win of their lives.

The Sheikh's Instant Family is a book that I had more trouble connecting to than the first in the series. I found the set up and Vanessa's character to be well done. Vanessa is a strong woman that wants to be different than her scheming mother and needs to be busy and useful. I liked her reluctance to accept extravagant gifts and her eagerness to pitch in an contribute. I like that she sometimes wavered, but stood up for herself when it mattered most. I had trouble with Amad. I know he needed room to grow in the story- but his general attitude about women in the workplace and whatnot rubbed me the wrong way very early on. I saw what the conflict was going to be quickly- and while I wanted Vanessa to have her happy ever after, I was not necessarily rooting for Amad. The story worked, and there were moments that I enjoyed. However, I did not connect with this story. Others might not have the strong reaction I did to Amad, and they are likely to enjoy the read much more than I did.

The Sheikh's Instant Family is a story with good characters. I did not connect with it was much as I had hoped, but it was still a solid story.

The Sheikh's Instant family is another great read by Leslie North.

Sheikh Amad and Vanessa have been in a, no strings attached kind of relationship. But that changes fast once Vanessa tells him she is pregnant with h is baby. He is a stand up man, and took responsibility for Vanessa and his unborn child. They move to Amad's homeland and Vanessa and Amad have to get use to many changes. Changes that only a strong relationship will stand the test of time. It is like a different work for Vanessa and the changes are hard for Amad to take and understand.

Fantastic characters development and story line. I didn't want to put this book down. I love Leslie North!!

It has been a long time since I've read a Sheikh book. I enjoyed this book, but remembered what I struggled with in these books in the past. Obviously there are significant cultural differences between my western world and any tribal, male dominated middle eastern society - and the older I get the harder it is for me to wrap my mind around the treatment of women in some of these cultures. Here the author makes a point that changes are being made and that its not something that happens overnight, but comes from above.

That being said, this is a whirlwind romance. You enter the relationship midstream and blast off from there. When Ahmad immediately proposes marriage after finding out that Vanessa is pregnant, my first thought was - slow your roll man. And honestly, I was shocked that Vanessa took him up on it. But understanding that she really viewed it as a temporary thing - helps to explain why she just jumped in with it for a new adventure.

I enjoyed the book as a fairly light, quick read, but I'm not sure I'd be back for more of this series. It lacked the depth of emotion and character that I need to make this a four or five star read.

Vanessa was a waitress in Las Vegas. Vanessa came to this club a thousand times in her life. This had become her meet-up place with Amad, her sexy Middle Eastern lover. The man who had punctuated her whirlwind life in Vegas in a way she might never forget. Amad and Vanessa weren’t serious. Life was just fun at his side. The waitress told Vanessa a man wanted her down on the dancefloor. But tonight Vanessa just wanted some quiet, a warmly lit place to meet up so she could get some things off her chest. They’d only been hanging out for three months but sometimes it felt like three years. Serious or not , they had real chemistry. That was what she loved about Amad. She could always live in the moment with him. Vanessa knew better than to expect anything long term. No man had ever stayed from her daddy on up. Vanessa finally told Amad she was pregnant with his child, he told her that was amazing. The amazed grin had never dulled even slightly. Than Amad said let’s get married. Amad’s world had just flipped upside down. Not only was he a father-to-be, he was getting married. Amad had needed a wife, every since the discovery of the ancient law last year. Vanessa was the only woman he’d ever been with that seeing again and again didn’t feel like a chore. Vegas had been Amad’s home- away- from- home for five years. He loved the fast pace and the glitz and the weird underbelly of the city. Than Amad took vanessa to a jewelry store and told her to pick out her dream ring. Amad had been smitten with Vanessa the very first moment he put his eyes on her. Life had went from zero to weird in twenty four hours. But Vanessa was conditioned to question the happiness of being Amad’s wife and carrying his child. She knew better than to get excited about a man. For however happy she was now, part of her believed it was just acting. Just a matter of waiting until the other shoe dropped and her life fell into its proper order: alone, abandoned, and bitter. After all it was the only thing she knew growing up. Why would it change? It was easy to fall for Amad. Between his tenderness, and he has heart stopping good looks.
Another great book by Ms. North. She sure does know how to write about sheikh’s. I believe I have read and loved every book about sheik’s she has written. I loved Amad and Vanessa together. I loved how Calla immediately became Vanessa’s friend and let her in on the clothing business calla and the tribe women were working om. I loved how they all accepted her. I loved the ending of this book. To see Amad’s growth as well as Vanessa’s. I loved the plot and pace. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copyc.

Vanessa and Amad get married when she announces that she is pregnant. After they go back to the tribe, things start going wrong as Amad is kind of male chauvinist.

I had a hard time liking Amad as he seemed so careless in ;how he treated the women and lead a life where he was just out for fun.

Things got better towards the end and Vanessa and Amad were able to work things out and have their HEA.

Sheikh Amad has always has great success with his ventures abroad that have multiplied his tribe’s wealth and business connections. But he also has to meet the expectations of marriage with his 30th birthday approaching and must return home soon. That means leaving his life in Las Vegas, and Vanessa, the sexy waitress he’s falling for, behind.

Vanessa Hammerman has had to work for everything she’s ever had, never being able to rely on a man from her father on up. Sheikh Amad has been fun, but she’s not thinking of a long-term commitment with a Middle Eastern prince. She never expected more than a short-term fun time with him.
But now she finds out that she is pregnant and is not sure how Amad will react to this news.

But when Vanessa tells Amad he’s going to be a father he is excited and instantly proposes marriage. But Amad has difficulty accepting Vanessa's independent nature versus the traditional structure of the Middle East. Will they find a happy medium?

This is the second book I've read by this author and my thanks go to NetGalley for the opportunity to read an ARC. Firstly, like the previous book, it's nicely written, simple, pleasant and easy to read. Once again I can't get attached to the characters at all and found the story uninteresting and not something I'd really want to read again - in fact I didn't finish it, sorry about that. Great for a beach read and to fill in some time, but not much else. This author has written dozen of these types of books and scanning the goodreads ratings, I'm guessing lots of readers love them, so don't let my personal opinion put you off reading her stories.

I recently read the first book in this series and loved it. So, as you can imagine I was super excited to read this one. Sadly, it didn't live up to the previous book. Amad is a playboy with no real defining emotions or character. He is very two dimensional and when he does have a spark of personality it is very chauvinistic. Vanessa had more personality but kept letting herself get run over by Amad and his expectations. She meekly follows along and drops everything at his smallest whim. While the writing and dialogue have promise, the overall story and characters were lacking..

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the part of a series but reads well as a stand alone. This is a quick, fun summer read or a cold wet day read. It's fun and amusing. Vanessa is a waitress who falls for a Sheikh! And needs a wife and wow off the story goes. It's an enjoyable escape. 3.5 stars
