I always get drawn in by Tilly Tennant's novels. The storyline and the cover make me want to read it and I'm never disappointed once I start. This particular cover is so beautiful - I couldn't wait to dive straight in! The dark colours with the snow falling looks so wintery and beautiful and I love the lights and snow covered houses.

This story will make you feel so warm and cosy and wintery. It's perfect for cosying up on the sofa with a hot chocolate. I loved the characters, it was heartwarming and unputdownable.

The Garden on Sparrow Street is the story of Nina, who is struggling to move on after the death of her beloved husband. With the introduction of Colm, Nina finds herself slowly finding love again. From the perfect front cover to the heartwarming story inside, this book was an enjoyable and entertaining read.

"The garden on Sparrow Street" is the perfect cozy read for a rainy afternoon (as it is here today). Nina lost her husband two years ago and since then she's given herself to her work in a charity shop with her friend Robyn. When they find themselves jobless, Nina takes upon herself to try to save the Sparrow Street's Community Garden with the help of her neighbors. As the community comes together, she is drawn to the gardener that's helping them, but is she open for a new love?

While I may be able to understand where she was coming from, I couldn't help but find maddening Nina's attitude with herself sometimes. It seemed like she was trying to sabotage herself just for the sake of it!

A lovely story about loss, grief and how to deal with them while giving yourself second chances.

I always love a Tilly Tennant book. They are always like a big warm hug in book form. They are full of joy, happiness, romance and happiness. This book was absolutely beautiful. It’s about love, romance and starting over when your whole world comes crashing down around you and you loose the one you love most in the world. How the world carries on turning when everything falls apart and the ability of the human strength to piece back together once’s life.

Comforting, hopeful, and uplifting would best describe the spirit of 'The Garden on Sparrow Street'. With the aid of a neighborhood holiday project, Nina, Colm, Robyn & Winston are able to find love and happiness again. Told with deliberate and gentle pacing, this book is a custom-made necessity for those precious afternoons curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea and that proverbial 'good book'. This charming book would make a lovely stocking-stuffer.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Tilly Tennant for an ARC of 'The Garden on Sparrow Street' in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
