I liked this action filled story. The tense search for missing women was well done.
Holly was such a honor bound woman, was had become a fearless leader. At least when it came to her work. She pretty much kept her personal life off-limits; keeping people from getting too close.

Jack wasn't intimidated by people but I also found it interesting that he treated Holly like an equal. He didn't try to force her into the usual normal image that most people would try to do. That also got him extra points with Holly when she found out he meant it. He wasn't intimidated by her but he was a whole lot intrigued by her. I had to smile at some of their conversions when she made sure she was in charge of a situation. Even the fact that she always HAD to drive the car added to the smiles. Jack even observes that she had one of the toughest exteriors that he'd ever seen but he also began to see below that surface.
Her team of women in her investigative business were not only highly skilled but quirky in their own ways. Part of her main team are people named, Eva, Alexa, Rene, Tika and Sam.
Oh. I'm sure people want to know if there will be sex in the story and the answer is yes there will be. At least several different times.
I just have to mention that one of the people that I suspected was "the one" didn't even come up as a suspect. I was sure that they were missing him but to my surprise he was NOT the one. Good red herring on the author's part.
The author did a great job of keeping the mystery of who the "baddie" was throughout the story. Had me going in circles more than once. I could almost feel the frustration that they were feeling as they raced the clock.
And as the story roars towards the end more things happen that cause them to race against the clock again. Twists and surprises will reign.

Book 1: enjoyable multiple level mystery wrapped up with some much needed romance for Holly of the HEART detective agency.

This is my first time reading Marci Bolden, and I was pleasantly surprised with this story.

Holly Austen is in charge of a private investigation company called Hearts. Where her and a few other woman whom are outcasts or have person stories make up the team. Holly is no non sense and rarely shows emotion. She also has her own personal baggage which drives her to many of her behaviours.

Jack Tarek whom is a police detective needs the services of Heart to help him help his mother. There is an instant connection between Jack and Holly which I quite liked.

This book had lots of suspense with a nice blend of romance. It was quick paced and kept me enthralled. I will continue with this author and this series.

Things I didn't like. Her thinking she failed her case when she had no chance from the beginning and the fact that the name of the company is hearts it doesn't fit any of them so that was hard to wrap my head around at times.

Hidden Hearts, book #1 in The Women of Hearts series, was a perfect mixture of mystery, suspense and romance. Holly Austin, lead investigator at HEARTS Investigative Services, is hired by the husband of a missing woman to help find her. When a second woman goes missing, Detective Jack Tarek comes to Holly for help. He believes these cases are connected but he can’t investigate because of a personal connection. These two have unexpected chemistry and as the investigations progress, so does their relationship. Holly is a brilliant character to start the series with - tough, focused, determined and damaged.

It’s always so exciting when I find a new author! Especially when that author has other books that I can read while I wait for new books. Hidden Hearts has all my favorites: romance, suspense, strong heroine and all the feels. This book started running from page one and never stopped. Never lost my attention. I will gladly be adding all of this author’s books to my TBR..

Not only is this a new to me author, but as the first book in the series it left me wanting more.
The story is a bout a women owned PI service called HEART. When they are hired to find a person, things do not go as planned. After a second women disappears Holly from HEARTS agrees to team up with a deceptive Tarek. There is more than meet the eye in this case and trouble will head their way in more ways than one.

This book has suspense, Romance, and a great plot. I couldn't;t put it down,

“Hidden Hearts” (HEARTS Series Book 1) by Marci Bolden

Marci Bolden has written another great book! The way “Hidden Hearts” is woven together makes me excited to read Book 2! Great characters, great storyline! Just when I thought there was a happily ever after coming, another crucial part of the story emerged! I can’t wait to meet more of the HEARTS family! Highly recommend! 5 stars!-Green Gables Book Reviews

When a Police Officer enters their office, everyone is caught off guard. Detective Jack Tarek found out quickly that Holly is no one to mess with. When he tells her why he is there, they unofficially join forces to help find now two missing women. They both feel a personal stake in solving these cases. What a wonderful start to the series. Hidden Hearts had me at the edge of my seat with anticipation on what would happen next and I cannot wait to continue the series.

HEARTS is a Private Investigation Agency run by all women and they were hired to find a missing woman, Julia Frederickson, Former Army Sergeant Holly Austin (the owner of HEARTS) decides to take lead on this case and in the process she teams up with Detective Jack Tarek whose neighbor has just gone missing and thinks there may be a connection in the two cases.

The closer Holly and Jack work together the harder it is for them to fight the chemistry that is brewing between the two of them. I love that neither of them put up to much of a fight against the "We're working together we can't do this" and just went for what they both wanted and boy were they good for one another.

This story grabbed a hold of me and didn't want to let me go, through all of the twists and turns the struggle to find the missing woman and the clock they were racing against had my heart beating out of my chest at times. Holly and Jack make a great team and all of the ladies of HEARTS are a force to be reckoned with. If you enjoy a good romantic suspense I highly recommend this book.

Happy Reading!!!

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest and independent review.
A fast paced and exciting mystery with romance too. A well developed plot which kept me intrigued. I loved the characters who had interesting back stories. The connection between the two main characters was strong from the start and I liked the way their relationship developed. A very good introduction to this series, but it can be read as a standalone.
I enjoyed this book so much that I have requested to review the next one in the series.

Hidden Hearts, by Marci Bolden, is full of action and romance.
I was captivated by the world of HEARTS which is an all women Private Investigation Agency.
This is former Army Sergeant Holly Austin's story. She teams up with Detective Jack Tarek when women go missing. They make quite a team in this page turning romantic suspense.
I look forward to the next book in "The Women of Hearts" series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Pink Sand Press for an arc of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to Netgalley, Pink Sand press and Marci Bolden for this ARC.
This is the first book of Marci's that I have read and I enjoyed reading it ! Starts with a prologue with Julia pushing her cart at a grocery store and when she leaves what happens. Then You learn about Holly and her work place HEARTS and what she does and her co workers/friends. And the Detective Jack when and how he meets Holly and what happens with them. The story drew me in and I kept reading to find out what happens. This story has drama, suspense, intrigue and love at the end. I recommend this book!!!!!

Hidden Hearts by Marci Bolden
This is the first book on the series of The Women of Hearts.

Former Army Sergeant Holly Austin and her team at the HEARTS agency are more than PIs tracking down cheating spouses. The main case Holly is working on is a missing women and now it's gotten worse, there is a second victim.

Police Detective Jack Tarek comes to HEARTS because he's been shut out of the new investigation as he's too close to it. His first impression of Holly is certainly memorable and he may push her buttons just a bit. But they have instant chemistry, which is inconvenient since they are now dealing with two missing women whose similarities are to eerie to dismiss.

As they work to uncover the suspect and connect the lives of the women they realize the attraction is just getting stronger. Before they know it they become entangled in a more dangerous circumstance than they expect. And the bond they've made pulls tight as they both fight the hidden danger that lurks.

WOW!!! What a great story. Looking forward to reading the rest of the HEARTS stories. This book kept you going and you weren't able to figure out who dun it until the end. The details were excellent and made it so that you could picture the setting by the clear writing. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I have read three books by Marci Bolden now. All three have been totally different. but all three have been totally amazing! Ms. Bolden writes a good story, no matter what type or genre.
Hidden Hearts is the darkest of her books that I have read. It is a romantic suspense that really grabs your attention from the very first page. It keeps you guessing and flipping pages as fast as you can. It is scary and kind of creepy.
Jack and Holly end up teaming up to try to solve several cases in which women have been abducted. Holly is a fierce woman who needs no one and doesn't give an inch on anything (including sex). Jack is attracted to her strengths, but can sense she has some issues that she struggles with. He is willing to accept whatever Holly will give him. Her getting involved with him is viewed as a weakness on her part by some and her saving grace by others. Is is getting in their way of solving the case and saving the women? As they struggle with the case and with their relationship, danger may be headed their way.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. Julia has disappeared and her husband, Eric, is beside himself. Not having faith in the police, Eric, reaches out to Holly at the Hearts Agency to help find his wife. Holly is a former member of the military turned private investigator and she is like a dog with a bone searching for clues and answers to solve the mystery. Detective Jack Tarek is drawn to Holly when his mother asks him to look into the disappearance of her good friend. However, being on the police force, Jack is unable to officially look into the situation as he is too close. These two are like Starsky and Hutch with romantic undertones thrown in. The chemistry between them is fiery. Can these two figure out what is going on before another woman goes missing? This is one heck of a ride and I look forward to read about the rest of these amazing women in future books. I volunteered to read a copy of this book provided by Netgalley.

This is Book 1 in the Hearts Series. This was a really good book. There’s a lot of suspense in it with I really enjoyed, plus the romance between Holly and Jack. Holly started the Hearts Investigative Services and Jack is a Detective. They work so good together as they are trying to find the women who have disappeared. I was really surprised at everything that happened during the investigation but it’s what made the book. I never knew what was going to happen. I can’t wait to read more in this series. But she’s going to have to work hard to mark it as good as this book was I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.
