Thanks to Berkley and Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Not gonna lie, I adore this series. I love the dragons. I love the Fae. I love the Library. I love the Language. But do you know what I'm tired of? Heists. There's been this non-stop barrage of heists in the book world the last few years, and meh, starting to be over it.

Luckily for us, this heist involves Irene Winters who, like Max from Chronicles of St. Mary's, runs headlong into trouble but has the wit and fortitude to kick its ass. Irene is such a great character, and I really love her interactions with the dragons and fae. I really like Kai as well, but I was hoping for more Lord Silver and Vale. I miss them!

This one has a few twists and turns and quite a few betrayals, but most importantly, this one pushes the world building and lore past the huge changes from the last book to an even newer place, setting the stage for some serious ramifications.

This series, even with a heist thrown in, continues to be fun. Can't wait for the next one.

Fun and fast read! I have always enjoyed the Invisible Library series, and "The Secret Chapter" offers the same fast-paced adventure, this time with Ocean Eleven type of heist!

I'm sure I sound like a broken record by now, because every time a new Invisible Library book is published, I say something along the lines of "wow I can't believe this series keeps getting better with each book!" But it's true, so...

Wow! I can't believe this series keeps getting better with each book!

If you have loved the other books (and if you've read them, you've certainly loved them) then you absolutely cannot miss out on Irene and Kai helping some nefarious bad-guy types pull off an epic heist full of political intrigue and danger.

And if you haven't read this series yet, what are you waiting for?! Go get Invisible Library (book 1) from your visible public library (or bookstore) right now!

Along with Martha Wells, Ilona Andrews, and a few others, Genevieve Cogman's worlds are ones I'll jump into headfirst.

If a heaven is a library, or a library is a kind of infinity, then the Invisible Library is all of that to the nth degree. The Library holds the worlds of the multiverse stable between the forces of order (dragons!) and chaos (fae!). It does that by stealing a lot of very rare books. Its librarians are far more Indiana Jones than Marian.

If you like heists stories, stock characters with a few surprises in them, and fathoms-deep world-building, you should have read this series like yesterday. But don't start with this one, because you'll be completely lost and it's missing Vale and Silver, two characters who add a lot of spice to the mix. This one feels like an in-between story, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my visit.

I was somewhat concerned about jumping into this without refreshing my familiarity with the rest of the series, but I needn't have worried. This installment greeted me like an old friend.

Another fast paced book in the Invisible Library series.

Irene and Kai have to do a heist in order to get a book from Mr Nemo, a fae who is like a Bond villain. Of course, nothing is simple and there are double crossings and ulterior motives everywhere.

It's a guarantee that when I start reading any books in this series I will have a hard time putting it down. These books are always smartly written with intelligent characters.

Irene and Kai have entered into a relationship but not one where they're open with each other. I wonder if another book is going to deal with this.

I love the Invisible Library series. It's required reading because I'm a librarian. I also recommend to my patrons who like mysteries but don't think they like fantasy.
